Are the calories in popcorn for unpopped or popped? I have not eaten popcorn since I was a child and I saw it on here and saw that air popped gets an A- so I thought I might try it out.

I believe what they have listed here - http://www.calorie-count.com/calories/item/19 034.html would be for 1 cup of air-popped popcorn.  It seems like my package said something like 120 cal for 1/2 cup of unpopped kernels, which makes a HUGE bowl full.  I love my air-popper!!! Got it for christmas!
Thank you, I think my mom has the old air popper we had when I was a kid, I am going to ask her.
I am an absolute popcorn fanatic! I eat it at least three times per week.  I order a special corn from Yoder Popcorn called tiny tenders.  It pops up small, but practically hull free.  I use an old crank style popper with as little oil as possible, I guess it's about 2 tsp for 1/2 cup of corn.  (I just can't stand the air popped corn.)  I actually have no idea how many calories are in it, but I don't care.  I save some calories when I know I'm going to indulge and enjoy!  I still lose weight pretty consistently, so it can't be hurting me.

I believe that you can't punish yourself to lose weight.  You just have to be sensible.  If you make your self miserable living in what I call "diet mode", your going to gain your weight back as soon as the diet ends.  Enjoy your popcorn, but be sensible and you will continue to lose or maintain your weight.

I just want to say YAAY for air-popped popcorn! :)
1 Tbsp of unpopped = 50 calories and about 3 cups of popped
