I've bookmarked it for future reference.  I'll take the "guided tour" when I have time.
Wow that looked awesome! I just took the tour guide and it's very appealing and informative. I also liked how it tried to include vegetarians by mentioning soy products and other alternatives. Most alienate that population along with lactose intolerant people and promote dairy A LOT, in addition to promoting other animal products.

It's very nicely done!

They still are stuck on cups etc. I might weigh something but the odds I'll try and figure out how big a serving is by cups is pretty close to zero. Unless it's a liquid. Would it kill them to list all serving sizes by weight?

Yes, I definitely think it would kill them :)

I heard about the new food guide on the TV this morning. I had a look and I'm really happy with what they've done.
It's probably a bit easier for Canada to promote actual healthy eating... their government isn't run by corporate lobbyists. The beef and dairy industry have had a hand in screwing up U.S. food guidelines for decades.

Interesting that the US food guide is a pyramid, and Canada's is a rainbow. All sorts of silly political conclusions could be drawn from that. :)
I guess the only thing I don't get is that they don't make any notes about certain fruits being higher in sugar than others. But, overall, I do like the food guide. They didn't make many changes to it, but I do like the new feature where you can personalize it to your age & gender.
