Um, seriously? Let's perpetrate a stereotype, and have the clothing supplied by an American company and, just to add insult to injury, let's have it manufactured in China.
Good plan.
Have to agree with you!!
Seems like the only thing "Canadian" about this, in the long run, is going to be the tax bill!!!!
*puts on her touque and rides in on her polar bear*
what're you sayin, eh?
ps - that's crazy practical for a vancouver winter. they'll be soaked in 5 minutes. :)
Well, at least they spelled "Canada" correctly. It could be worse.
Awww I think they are super cute :]
It reminds me of Canadian Bacon. Or Fargo.
Split, would rainbow colored spandex "suit" you better?
Actually, I'd probably wear the sweater - but I ain't exactly an Olympic athlete.
Hee hee - me either.
But, what would YOU like to see as the uniforms?
(Personally, I find the Paul Bunyan aspect of Canada quite appealing - LUMBERJACKS - oh yeah!)

Hey, anyone can wear moose - they're not just for athletes.

What stereotype are these uniforms perpetuating? that it's cold in Canada?

That Canadian women like to have moose on their boobs.

Bob & Doug McKenzie come to mind. Eh?
They aren't so bad. Hudsons Bay tradionally is as Canadian as you can get - I didn't know they were sold to an American company - that is kind of disappointing! I liked the year Roots did the Olympic wear but it was priced right out of alot peoples league - hopefully the Bay will be able to make it affordable for almost all!
I would love to get my hands on 2,500 or so Canada Team hockey jerseys to send to the troops in Afghanistan so they can wear them during the Olympics!! :)
I think it's very exciting that it's in Vancouver! Go team Canada!!

Pfft. It isn't cold in Canada. We just say that to keep the wimps out.
Hey Rosie, did you take that pic of the bear in your avatar? He's a beauty. :3
I would be a little worried about wearing the moose sweater outdoors. Sarah Palin might shoot me from a helicopter.

Yes, we were camping on Vancouver Island and saw 9 bears the day we drove in.

The founders are American but they have adopted Canada...so I think that's as Canuk as we are going to get!! ;) Looks like they just recently started manufacturing in other countries with cheaper labour though.
