So what if your candidate doesnt become President?

Will it make much difference?
If so, what primarily are you concerns or fears about the other party's candidate presidency?

McCAIN
*  President Palin
*  Criminalization of abortion
*  Worsening deathrate / US debt attempting to settle another country's decade long civil war
*  Passing his millionaire tax "cut" plan which provides millionaire earners a 4.4% tax cuts but under $66,000 income less than 1% tax cut, further burdening low to middle class.

McCAIN TAX CUT PLAN
  less than $66K :  income increase  less than 1%
 over $2.8 million:  income increase  4.4%.
OBAMA TAX CUT PLAN
   less than $66K :  income increase  2.4-5.5%
 over $2.8 million:  income DECREASE 11.5%

*sits down with banjo to sing McCain Victory song*

gloom, despair and agony on me  (ooohhh!)
deep, dark depression, excessive misery (aooww)
if it weren't for bad luck, i'd have no luck at all  (aww!)
gloom, despair and agony on me

actually, i think that's the song we'll be singing, no matter who wins

one man can't undo the economic ****storm that's just now getting started

on the one hand, i think it might not be the worst thing if mccain is elected, if only so that obama doesn't get blamed for the economic unraveling that was set in motion with reagan's deregulation efforts, which proceeded apace with the free trade agreements and other trade policy under bush I & clinton,  and which was kicked into full speed ahead under bush II

the people who wanted a government they could drown in a bathtub are about to get one - their revolution is entering the final stage

Nomo, I hadn't thought of it like that. You've got a good point.

Loved the song.

Neither candidate is going to positively impact the global economy and 'save the day'. It just isn't going to happen that way. The market needs to correct, regardless of how many band-aids the Fed throws on it, it simply has to correct. It's the nature of the beast.
