I can't believe its not butter spray - 0 Cals?
I've been wanting to ask this question for awhile now but am afraid of the answer. You know the I cant believe its not butter spray and there are a few others out there too. Well i love this stuff. I use it on my hashbrown etc.
It says it has zero calories. How can that be? Does anyone else use it. If I have to stop im up the creek without a paddle bc i use it a few times a week.
What do you think?
Reason: Moved from WL to Foods forum
Uh oh lol so i guess i should stop taking the cap off and coating the pan with it before i put the hashbrowns in then huh? I just thought 0 cal x 0 cals is 0
Oh thats not good ... oops glad i asked
In Jillian Michael's book 'Winning By Losing' she explains that one of her clients used that spray butter all the time, which nearly made her fall off her chair. She explained to her client that no one only uses just 'one' spray from those and that the entire bottle contains around 900+ calories (unfortunately I can't find the passage right now). Here is a snippet I found online:
The "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" spray has ZERO calories if you use just a few spritzes. However, if you do what most of us do and spray to your heart's content, you can rack up calories and fat grams pretty quickly. Here's the scoop: 12.5 sprays is 10 calories and 1 gram of fat, 25 sprays (1 teaspoon) is 20 calories and 2 grams of fat, and 37.5 sprays is 30 calories and 3 grams of fat. In case you're curious, the entire bottle contains 900 calories and 90 grams of fat! Helpful hint: When it comes to this stuff, stick with spraying as opposed to pouring.
It also contains a large amount of soy oil which is loaded with female hormones and is very bad for both men and women.
I used to use this stuff all the time and, at the same time, would always wonder why my pounds weren't coming off (or why it was taking so long). I also remained uncomfortably bloated while using it. Suffice to say, I now use real butter only. Real butter is very good for your nervous system (expecially your brain and intestines). It's full of good fats and used in moderation, it's healthy.
