I can't control my junk food eating lately!
I don't know what's been happening these last few days. I eat healthy foods throughout the day, and I've been trying to eat well these last few weeks. I just don't know what went wrong!
I've been having a bit of trouble maintaining. I've gained back a little bit of the 12 pounds I've lost, and it all seems to have gone to my stomach, where it's noticeable. I've gotten back some of the flab. Yesterday, I must have eaten at least 1000-1500 calories over my usual calore intake, all in the form of peanut butter chips, ice cream, cereal, etc. The day before wasn't much better. I'm feeling kind of lost right, and I don't think I can control myself at all now.
I also have to bake peanut butter cookies today for a party tomorrow. Those are a pretty big weakness of mine.
What can I do to make sure I don't eat like that again, and control my major cravings?
I don't know what to do about the cookies, but is there anyone else in your house that eats junk food? Can you get rid of it?
I just control myself while I'm at the grocery store, then there is no problem during the other 99% of the time.
Hm, Ive done that a couple times. Then I feel completely guilty.
You just have to think about what you want more.
Sure you get to enjoy those types of food for the few minutes that you eat them, and then what? you spend days and days trying to get back what you lost for those silly 5 minutes that it took to eat the ice cream, or the few seconds that it took to eat the cookie.
so what do you want more? The satisfaction for those few minutes enjoying the cookie, or ice cream? or the 24 hours of everyday knowing that you have will power and a smaller belly that you actually worked hard for.
Just have to think about what you really want, and find the will power to just say NO!!!
It's worked for me :)
I've worked way to hard the last 4 months to give up a few lbs for pointless calories and junk. It's not benifiting you in anyway to put that food in your mouth. Instead of eating a cookie, eat an apple. 100% the apple has less calories, and WAY more benifits to your health, and it takes alot longer to eat, and will actually make you more full then the cookie!!!
When I crave something I slice up a banana and mix it with peanut butter. It's VERY filling and tastes good.
Thanks everyone. And you're right cs17. I really need to think about the benefits of not eating all the junk food around me.
