I can't edit my recipes any more !!!

Has anybody else had this problem lately?? I usually go back and edit my saved recipies ( either the serving number or if I alter the ingredients a little) There is normally a little E in a box the I can click......it has disappeared!! Hmmm What's up with that????

Hey CC, TMI on the "help" page. If the link took you to the correct place it would actually help.

You got me worried so I checked. Yes the option is situated differently. You can only edit from Tagged Recipes. So if you did not tag your recipe, you cannot edit it. Not a particularly intelligent move in my opinion on the part of database management. The point of having a My Recipe section is that they are Yours. You should be able to edit them from there AND in the Tagged Recipe section.

Ok, rant done. meilissap79, just tag everything, yes I know yet another otherwise unnecessary step, but do it. Then you can edit from there.

I actually already have everything tagged....and even when I'm in my tagged recipe area and click on the recipie there is nowhere to edit the recipe like there used to be...I can only edit the tags (which I don't need to do)...this has just started to be a problem (and I do it often)...I haven't had any problems before today.

TO ALL THAT READ THIS THREAD, IGNORE THE "IMPORTANT" MESSAGE ABOVE AS IT WILL NOT HELP WITH THIS DATABASE PROBLEM.

You are right, I did not investigate beyond just seeing the E for edit in tagged recipes and erroneously assumed the E for edit on tagged recipes would edit the recipe since that option no longer exists in My Recipes.

It does not. It only edits the tags, not the recipe itself. I looked again and still have not found the usual edit buttons for My Recipes either.

Hey CC - please fix this db issue. That's a feature a lot of us use.

Edited for a follow up that makes me glad that I joined CC. I sent an email to the contact us folks very late last night and already have a response -

"Thank you for contacting Customer Support.  I've passed your email onto the Technical Team and they will be working on getting the Edit button back for your recipes.  Sorry for this inconvenience."

Waiting for the fix... That was the most important feature for me and I REALLY miss it.

I agree. Checked today and it was still not fixed. If it is not back tomorrow I'll reply to the email - it actually came from a person and I was addressed by my real name!

Ladies, the bug is fixed. You may edit your recipes!!!
