Can't incorporate other foods

Quote  |  Reply
I am stuck in a total rut. For the last probably 3 months, I've done well losing weight, but I've had the same things EVERY DAY. Well, not the exact same - every day I have watermelon for breakfast, and 5-6 days a week I have a salad (the same one - which is fine, I love it!) for lunch, and grilled chicken for dinner and an oatmeal cookie. Then 1-2 days a week, we go out to dinner and we always get chips and salsa, a salad, and split a slice of key lime pie or cake. All of this is well within my calorie limits, but I'm afraid to eat at any other restaurants or eat something different for fear of gaining weight. How can I be okay with going some place new and eating different foods? Did anyone else have this problem?

Can anyone help me out here?
Ok
Dont be afraid of gaining weight - it doesnt happen overnight. Calories are all an estimate anyway. How much do you eat a day?
And do you wanna keep losing?
Variety will help you as you'll find you're more sated (full, done eating) plus give you lots of different vitamins
For you, I think you should jsut slowly sub foods, to the same calories.
For example, tomorrow breakfast have rockmelon.
Just watermelon for brekkie isnt good anyway = you need protein and carbs!
I think you may need some help from a nutritionist/dietician etc. because you seem to be afraid of food. And that's not healthy. mentally
There;s lots of great foods out there, just one at t atime, try new things.
Just keep track of the cals and you'll be fine eating pretty much whatever you want.  The only time you have to worry is if you eat at a restaurant that doesn't release its nutrition info (which always sends me into a bit of a panic, too -_- ).  But even that won't throw you off track too much as long as you try to eat sensibly from what they offer, and get back on track with good foods the next day.
