1 Pound a week is healthy loss, to lose 2 pounds a week you would need to have a deficit of 1000 calories a day. Meaning you would need to burn 1000 more calories then you consume. Did you look at the Tool provided on the site, your expenditure and intake? What are you age, weight, height? How much are you trying to lose? 2 pounds a day maybe to aggressive of a loss if you do not have much to lose.
Eat more. Are you a male or female? How tall, how much do you weight now. Try the "getting started option" here. Men should not consume any less than 1500 calories and women no less than 1200. NOW...If you are working out, you need to eat more for your body to burn more!
female, 5'7 155 , i eat right but i only eat when im hungry i eat very little sugar, unless found in fruit, i do not consume junk food, i am trying to get down o 135 by june 1. my bmi is 24.3 i am 20 years old
I do not suggest eating anything less then what you already do. This probably isn't what you want to hear but a pound a week is a healthy weight loss rate. I fear that if you either increase your workout or decrease your caloric intake or both you will put your body in to starvation mode and will actually lose weight slower. Try and up your cardio by 10 to 15 min and add another day of strength training. Doing this will get your deficit in the 700 calorie range but I would not advise going any higher and never go above a 1000.
Welcome to the club. I can't seem to average more than one pound a week either. One is better than not losing, and A LOT better than gaining!
