Why can't I lose weight anymore?
During the summer, it took me about 2 months to lose 5 lbs, and now I've gained all that back, and then some. Losing weight was really hard and slow, but I did it- now I cant do it anymore
I'm 5'8'' and in january, i was 125 lbs. NOW i'm 135ish...probably more. I dont know what happened. I really wanted to get to 115, but now i'd be happy just to be 125 again :( and i KEEP ON GAINING! i dont really go into starvation mode, but i dont think i exceed 1700-1800 calories a day, which is maintaining for sedentary.
so why am i gaining all this weight?! why cant i LOSE the stupid weight?!
I feel so horrible :( and to think i USED to think i was fat- now i'm 10 or 15 lbs heavier...i'm a whale :(

first of all...how old are you? and why do you want to maintain a weight that is obviously not a healthy one for someone of your height? Try to keep things in perspective. Organs have weight. And, those same organs keep you alive and well. Also, those muscles and bones you have, they help you move, dance, and have fun. Just remember that you're not a whale and your body is going to find its perfect weight as long as you TREAT IT RIGHT! (that means eating and exercising, both in moderation)
i'm 14. and 125 is healthy. i'm wondering why i a) why i gained all that weight and b) why cant i get back to it?!
Mayyybe your body is at a good weight for your height and body type. 115 is underweight for 5'8" (BMI of 17.5), and 125 is bordering underweight (BMI of 19). 135 puts you at a BMI of 20.5... which is spot on. Why can't you lose weight? Your body's happy where it's at. If you think you've got some extra flab, then TONE it, don't try to lose a bunch of weight.
You must be building muscle, growing bigger breasts and developing curves...
You're 14 and trying to lose a bunch of weight? You should hold off until you're older and your reproductive system stops developing or you might have troubles in the future.
I just have to say, although I'm older than you (19) and an inch shorter, 125 is my GOAL weight. Im at 132 right now...Im extremely offended that you, at an inch taller than me think that 135 makes you a whale.
People would kill to be your height and weight. I know its part of the teenage angst drama bs...but you arn't overweight by any means...and you know, I think you're just looking for people to tell you that.
Sorry for getting my start on here off to a bad start, but it had to be said.
