Tell us some details. Age, size, weight, what you eat, how many cals etc. Then we can help
Well since I am an all-knowing goddess I know that the answer is... too many pickles.
Seriously, you have to give us some information, we're not psychic.
Stats:
Age 17
Weight 107
Height 5ft4in.
Aim for 1200calories a day.
Eat very healthy
And i workout 5days a week. Cardio and weights
You don't need to lose weight. That's probably why.
And that few calories and weigt lifting most likely put you in starvation mode.
Answer: You're already at a low weight and shouldn't lose any more unless you chopped off a leg or something. Also, you're obviously not eating enough. 1200 is the minimum energy needed to fuel your organs. When you work out, you need to eat more.
So, if i eat more ill lose weight?
you may lose weight but I am certain you won't lose fat you are under weight so you could not possibly have very much fat on your body! hope you are having fun with this post ;)
"ideal weight" for a five foot four inch woman is about 115-120
ahhh! but i gotta lose the fat off my legs, ha
yeah, but you know how it goes, you can't lose fat on just certain body parts :/ you'll probably lose weight around your stomach even more and everywhere else if it ever gets to your legs at all :/
definitely up your cals! if you eat the same thing everyday, try some variety. if you want any specific details, message me!

Then what you actually want to do is build up a little muscle. While it may seem counterintuitive, people who are underweight tend to have a higher bodyfat percent than people at healthy weights. Eating as little as you are (and you should be eating an absolute minimum of 1500 cals/day as a teenager), your body is more willing to burn muscle than fat as it is holding onto that fat since it doesn't trust you to feed it. If you start feeding your body more, it will initially hold onto those calories but after a few weeks, it'll start to trust you again and might actually allow you to lose some fat - as long as you're willing to put in the work to build enough muscle to keep yourself at a healthy weight. The key thing here will be that you need to learn to ignore the scale because you probably want to *weigh* more than you do now while being slimmer than you are now (1 pound of muscle is much smaller than 1 pound of fat). The tape measure is your friend.
The other possibility is that your legs aren't fat at all and you're being hypercritical of your appearance. With no pictures, there's no way for us to tell.

No. You are too thin to lose. You need to gain some muscle. Do it by eating more and exercising. A cubic inch of muscle weighs 3 times as much as a cubic inch of fat. You'll weigh more but look better.
Did you know that if you starve yourself now you are at great risk of osteoporosis and reproductive problems in 10 years? It's from losing bone and organ tissue during the years when you should be gaining them. You have only now to lay a good foundation. If you miss doing that in your teens, you will pay for it as an adult.
Please reconsider what you're doing.
All i can say is that you really need to get help. you are going to hurt yoursely permanently, body and, wel it is obvious that your mind is shot already. please talk with someone. i have been there, you need to get help. i would suggest a residential treatment, it is frank, but i now that road, and it is no fun. but there is life after your ED as long as you take care of it and get rid of it first. if you have any questions or need support, i can do my best
.
susiecue, ive been trying to build up muscle for months...i worked out 6days a week for two months now im down to 5days a week, but i guess with too few of calories my body has not slimmed down?
That's pretty much it. Your body will only let you build muscle if you're eating as many calories as you burn. So, if you want to build muscle, you definitely want to be eating over 2000 cals/day. I'm not sure exactly how many, but I'm sure someone can post you a link to a calculator suitable for teens. (The numbers an adult calculator would give you will be too low.)
Otherwise, it has other priorities. What are you doing to try to build muscle? You know that it's best to lift weights that are heavy, right? Aim for 10-12 reps at the heaviest weight that you can lift that many times. In other words, the last couple of reps should feel like *really* hard work. Squats and lunges are really good for building leg muscles. My legs are still sore from my Thursday sculpting class - which is almost half squats/lunges.
So, is it possible for me to lose weight or get smaller? Because I have been unable to...I upped my calories though to 1500 hope this works...because i've pretty much lost hope.
