I can't stand people who say they can't drink water!!

Water is God's gift to mankind!! lol! I used to be that person who could finish a whole container of juice without even caring about the cals. I never used to drink much water. One day I decided I'm going to try the 8 glasses of water thing and guess what, within a week i lost about 3-5 lbs. I guess my body just wasn't used to all that water!! lol! It is the easiest thing to diet with. Even when I'm just sitting around, I keep a bottle of water next to me. It has decreased my cravings as well. For people who say they don't like water. How bad could is possibly be? I'm sure it depends on the taste and the temperature of it. I, for example, have to have ice cold water otherwise it's hard for me to drink. Lukewarm water makes me cringe! Everyone is different. Try squeezing some natural lemons in it. Whatever u do just try it. U can still have a diet coke here and there or a juice here and there. Just make sure u get ur 8 glasses everyday. Experiment with it for a week and I guarantee there will be differences. Some may not lose weight but u'll feel so much better. U'll feel more cleansed and I feel a lot less bloated since I've switched to mostly waters from diet cokes!

Ive almost gotten to the point where the only thing I drink is water. No soda, no juice, nothing but good ole H2O. I'm putting down about 4-5 liters a day. I never leave home without my 1.5 liter bottle of Zephyrhills water...good stuff!
I totally agree with you! I thought it was going to be hard drinking a lot of water but I tried different things like keeping an open water bottle next to my desk and I'll like unconsciously sip it when I'm reading or thinking. I used to munch on cereal or some junky snacks when I'm stressed or reading. But now I keep that opened water bottle near my reach and I just reach for it. I drink so much water now and my skin looks great. I also feel great too. I think I was dehydrated all the time before but I didn't realize it because I didn't have the hydrated feeling to compare it to. But now that I know how great it feels to be hydrated, I feel so gross and tired when I don't drink enough water and I'll actually want it. I don't really drink juice or sodas anymore because they taste too sweet to me. I wonder if I've "trained" my taste budes to be more sensitve to taste by reducing my surgary drinks. Yeah I love being hydrated. I guess the only problem is you have to go to the bathroom all the time.

plain water makes me vomit. literally. everytime.
I like drinking water now that I found this new type of water called fitness water. It's kiwi-strawberry flavored.
I love H20 with a passion...I've substituted every drink for it, with the exception of 99% Fat Free Hot Chocolate- which is essentially water based anyway. I consume 2-4L/day, and have not lost any weight =). In addition, I am doing the healthy lifestyle thing...I wish it were that simple. Nevertheless, water is wicked!
I don't care for plain water.  It only hits the spot during a work out.  I am armed with many types of flavored water, some low calorie, some no calorie.  I don't think that will change, ever.

Do I still drink a bottle of plain water everyday? Yes.  Do I complain about it? No.
I have trouble drinking pure water unless I'm very dehydrated or ate something with a large amount of salt. The pH is too high for me - it tastes bitter. I drink a little bit anyway, but I can't possibly drink 8 glasses.

And even only drinking 2-3 cups a day and only reluctantly, usually having other things instead that are more acidic, it hasn't slowed down my weight loss - but everybody's different, and I DO drink enough liquid. Just not water.
Bah I love water.  If I go more than an hour without drinking I can totally feel it.  Being dehydrated make me feel tired and icky too.  Gross.   I drink about 4-5 liters a day.  I never knew how thirsty I was until I starting drinking water all the time.  All hail the water gods, oh how I love thee!!!!!
I dont exactly love the taste of just plain water i drink it alot like that though but i also squeeze lemon in it and put splenda in for a lil flavoring sometimes when im bored with the monotony of drinking plain water
In highschool, that was about all I ever drank with the exception of cran-grape juice for breakfast on occasion. Then, I got pregnant and started craving Dr. Pepper. From then on, things went bad. I NEVER drank water. Since Jan, I've started drinking it again pretty often. Since last week, that's all I've drank and I've lost 6 lbs. I love water--ice cold or warm--doesn't matter to me.
I love it!!! I go through so many bottles a day.  Getting better at refilling them though to save bottled water.  Never had soda, never will.  Other drinks only make me thirsty.  The only things I really drink anymore are water, lipton green tea, soy or skim milk, and the occasional starbucks drinkk<3

Water owns.
I definitely agree about other things not quenching your thirst! So true. Soda definitely makes it worse and water is the best!
I love this thread!  It hits home on so many levels.

I drink tons of water.  I USED to drink tons of Mountain Dew, and when I switched to water..well, you can bet I started losing weight.  The weight loss only lasted for a few weeks while my body was transitioning from lots of soda to lots of water, but it felt great.  I try to drink mostly water because nothing makes me feel so nice and hydrated.

Sometimes I talk to a coworker about health because she's trying to lose some weight, and I noticed that she never drinks anything.  Everyone else in our department has their little water bottles that they're sipping out of and refilling all day long, but she never drinks anything.  So I asked her about it and she says she's never been thirsty!  She told me she drinks a cup or two of coffee in the morning and sometimes that will be all she'll drink.  So I mentioned to her that sometimes we misinterpret our bodies' signs of thirst as hunger and she laughed and said, "So that's how I got to be this big!"  Haha :)  She keeps a little bottle of water at her desk now as well and has even found that the weight comes off a little easier when she's well-hydrated.
As a detractor I have to say I HATE water.  I drink it all day long, but I like it better when it is flavored. I freeze oranges, lemons, limes, any thing that will give the water some flavor.

A friend of mine told me to try steeping it with fresh mint leaves.  That will be my next shot.

I agree I do feel better when well hydrated.
All I drink now is water. When I get sick of drinking plain water I put some crystal light in it or I will get a Propel- there are alot of good flavors
I was the same way - I'd have an energy drink, soda, juice, tea - whatever.  but I rarely took water as my first choice.

Now, I carry around my 32oz jug filled with my freshly filtered Brita water (or my bottled distilled water - I refuse to drink plain tap water - gross!) and once in a while, I'll toss in a packet of Crystal Lite on the go - I like the wild strawberry. ;)
I love water (room temp) & know that it's important... but I wouldn't say "I can't stand people" who don't feel the same way!
I use to hate it. I would always grab a coke or something else. Noww all I drink is water, or crystal light. I cant even drink pop anymore because it makes me sick..
when i gave up diet soda and pop, and started to just drink water and milk, i lost weight and my carvings stoped.

within a mounth or so, i felt more alert and didnt even feel the urge to snack uncontrolably.

drinks are inteeded to replenish your body, not be sweet and sugary.
Ha! This is my pet peeve too! I have long loved water and other than coffee never drink juices or sodas. I think sodas are just gross and disgusting. I can't understand people like my DH and my mother who never touch water and drink cases upon cases of diet soda a day... yuck!! Too sweet too bubbly too chemically too grossssss....

But I'm weird because I prefer my water at room temp. I don't like cold water because it hurts my teeth!!
