I can't stop eating!!!!

Quote  |  Reply

I love, love Smart Start cereal. The kind with the red label, not the blue. I eat two of those plastic "To-Go" bowls just about every morning and every night. I see other people can't help but eat chocolate or whatever but this is my addiction. I've noticed I've been gaining some weight over the year and I'm wondering if this could be a contributing factor. What do you think.

If your four bowls of cereals added to the rest of your food are taking you over the amount of calories you need to maintain your weight then you'll gain weight.

I love cereal as well. I've never had Smart Start cereal. It shouldn't be the reason for your weight gain as long as it fits within your calories for the day...

Why the to-go bowls? I'd think that would be much more expensive than just getting a box of the cereal and portioning it out to the same serving sizes...no?

You are gaining because of normal, adult, male growth.  You are in no danger of getting fat.

Go back and read the answers to your previous post.  For you, a weight gain is great!  I see you are in uniform so I'm sure you want to stay fit and strong.  Being skinny does not always mean strong.  You need to put on muscle weight, and you need those carbs in cereal to give you the energy to build muscle.

Please use the resources I posted - They really helped me a lot.

And so incredibly wasteful!  All that plastic...

I get the bowls because they're free.

Good answer Travissimo! Any other judgmental questions out there ????

I eat Smart Start too...the blue box Original though. I recently just started a diet here and have left it alone to explore other breakfast options. But today I was hungry for it this morning so I added it to my tag list. I know in the past I would dump sugar on it even though it is lightly sweetened - not good. But now I am looking at using it with soy milk as a quick fix option and change of pace. I see nothing wrong with it.

I was also suprised when I measured out 1 cup that it only filled my usual bowl up halfway. I was probably double dipping that also.

Out of all the kelloggs cereals to eat out there....this has to be one of the best !
