I cant stop shoving food in my face today!
start by looking at her suggestion and then, if needed, look further...
I am just one Queen of emotional eating...whether it's pms related or not. and I'm just beginning to master it.
don't feel like a total idiot and it's okay to one or two days a week, increase your calories to that NO deficit marker...just don't OVEREAT. sure, the weight will come off more slowly but it will still come off. just make your daily caloric changes contientious...YOU be in control.
the trick is who is in control...you or your environment? there's very little we can control in life but surprisingly, what goes into our mouths IS one thing we can [learn] to control.
I feel for you moms in AK and WI...I'm in MI and a mom and got hit, too, but, apparently not like you all...
Normally, I could relate to your gripes @ MI living but this past week I got a reprieve!!! I got knocked out by the flu for 7 days! Slept for 3 and if not for all my chatty friends online here, I would be toast!
Now, I feel like I lost a few pounds and gained a slightly new perspective. I think I can hack it until spring.
I was actually out hiking 5/day until the flu.
I am going to add you to my friend's list...drop me a line whenever you need a listening ear!!! sometimes we all need that kind of support. and...TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!
i think everyone stuffs themselves from time to time, EVEN those tiny size people, i haven't mastered the weight loss thing but i have managed to lose 15 lbs since dec 30th 07. i got on the scales on that day and didn't weigh before that for so very long. i have always been told not to weight everyday....well i beg to differ, when i went without weighing for so long i did not realize how big i had gotten from holiday eating, etc... anyways i weight every morning (not to be compulsive or anything) but if i see i am on the incline then it keeps me in check to make better decisions the next day. do you do that? also if you mess up don't let it be like "i fell off the wagon and blew it" just decide that the next meal will be better.... i used to would just blow it and then it was kinda my excuse to just forget about dieting. i eat out ALOT almost every meal or just about. i have started by telling the wait staff "look i am on a diet and so you have to help me, don't offer dessert, don't offer bread and when you bring my meal out bring a to go box along with it" man, this off the bat has helped me so very much. in the south (Mississippi) we are the largest in the nation "down home cooking". i realize that it is PORTION CONTROL. cut the serving's in half and even sometimes in half of half if it is really large portion. i started off the year doing nutrisystem but i truly feel i can do the same thing by keeping entree portions between 3-6oz!!! doesn't seem like much but i haven't been starving b/c i time myself 9a 12p 3p 6p and then maybe a peanut butter cookie or fruit at night but not to eat heavy after 6p... hope this helps some
