What? You can't tag an item twice?
Ok, almost every day for lunch I have a cup of soup - lentil, chicken gumbo, minestrone, pea, etc. and a salad. I made a "lentil soup" tag with the 3 items, the soup, the salad, and the salad dressing. Then I made a chicken gumbo tag, but I noticed that there was only 1 item. I figured I screwed up, so I added the salad to the tag, then I noticed it wasn't in the "lentil soup lunch" tag anymore.
You've got to be kidding me, righjt? I'm doing soemthing wrong, I must be. You must be able to add an item to more than one tag, right? If I have to add each item to a tag, then add each item to a meal - that is not very user friendly.
The tags are not designed to "create a meal" tag. They are more for creating a fast way to add that individual item to your list of foods eaten. What you can do though, is make a new recipe. Add the items to the recipe like you would if you were writing a real recipe, and then name it the name of the lunch you want to call it. Then you can tag the recipe, and find it under the tagged items tab when you click recipes. It may not be as easy but it will work that way.
At least that is what I think, I may be wrong about the tag thing so if you find out differently, let me know! Hope this helps!
I am not sure I am understanding your question, but if I am, this is how I do it.
An item can have multiple tags, so it can appear in more than one "meal".
For instance, I use strawberries with my cereal every day.
My breakfast is the following (tags in parenthesis).
Breakfast
Fiber One (breakfast)
Soy Milk (breakfast, protein shake)
Strawberries (breakfast, protein shake, cottage cheese snack)
See, I use soy milk in more than one meal, so I have multiple tags, separated by a comma.
If that doesn't make sense, let me know.
I think I know what you are trying to do though, and it is possible.

You know, it occured to me that I could put in more than one tag name, and I tried that, but when I saved it, it just blanked out the tag. Maybe I'll try it again.
But, you do have it correct - what I want to do is have the same items (salad and salad dressing) with the 3 different kinds of soup that I usually eat with it for lunch.
