That's because it's an email address you freaking idiot.

I process repair orders for telephonic equipment for huge companies like Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc. Part of it is answering the phone. A tech called in today wanting to set up 5 repairs. I told him he had to send an email. He said he had that address but couldn't get to the website with it. He then wanted me to step him through it. He went to Internet Explorer and was trying to plug in our email address into the browser and wondered why it kept giving him an error message. Obviously our site wasn't working properly.

I then had to tell him to get into his email and put that address into the "to" line. He was still worried it wouldn't work, so he sent a test message and I had to wait on the line while it came in so I could verify to him that it worked.

Yes, an adult who is a technician for one of the big 3 phone companies couldn't tell the difference between a web address and an email address.

It is unfreakinbelievable how stupid people can be. I keep saying they can't get any more stupid and then they do.

HAHA! That really makes you wonder about who's running these places.. At least we know you know what you're doing!

And to make matters worse, he didn't know what a purchase order is. And then he swore that his big huge worldwide company didn't do purchase orders.

Duhh Ahole. I get PO's from them every day.

We had a good laugh at his expense after he hung up.
