Captains of Crush Hand Grippers

Quote  |  Reply

Does anyone else use these? They are fantastic for building serious grip strength. There are seven grippers total spread out over four levels (L1, L1.5, L2, L2.5, L3, L3.5, and L4). To give you an idea of how hard they are to close, only 5 people in the world have closed a #4. I just bought level 1 a few weeks ago, and it is tough. I have always wanted to increase my grip strength and these are perfect for it.

Holy good old days Batman! I remember these we had L1 - L2 in one of my old gyms and L1 is tough as it is at 140 lbs. We had a plate stack gripper to help you work up to it and not many ever got the L2 more than twice and we are talking guys with 500+ benches and 800+ DLs. I got the L1 to close once and that was a great day!

A great tool for the forearm. Now you've got me thinking about ordering a couple, trainer level of course. Surprised

Sorry double post, my connection sucks today.

Those are pretty neat. I've never tried that brand or really used any for that matter. I know my grip strength improved a lot in HS when I started going to a rock climbing wall a lot and doing 2-3finger pull-ups. That is, gripping the bar with the index, middle and ring fingers.

Cool! Glad to hear it. I am not ready for #2 yet. I can close #1 five to six times on a good day. I did 5 sets of 5 the other day and my hands/forearms are still killing me..LOL My goal is to close the #2 for a few reps at least by Christmas. I am hoping that I can pull it off.

You should dude. They are awesome. That is cool to hear that you were doing 2-3 finger pull-ups. I am trying to get myself psyched up for my next round of burpee hell tomorrow..LOL

I am going to start doing sets of 10 with 60 seconds rest in between. When I can do 100 like this consistently, I will start moving it up to 45 seconds rest, then 30 seconds rest, etc.. One I can do 100 for 10 sets of 10 with 30 seconds between sets, I will attempt the G.I. Jane challenge again.
