carb/fat/protein
hello
i know this has been discussed sooooo much, so a link will do if you like. anyway, what are the best (in your opinion) %s of fat/carb/protien? i am really not sure where i should be. i am usually about 75% carbs, give or take. fat and protien are usually about equal cuz most of them comes from nuts which are both. oh, and i am trying to "eat clean" if that makes a difference. thanks!

what's "eating clean"? And you need to knock out some of those carbs. You should be around 50% carbs, 25-30%protein, 20-25% fat.
the AMDRs are the following:
10-25% protein
20-35% fat
45-65% carbs
this site recommends:
50% carbs
25% protein
25% fat
this can be really hard for vegans, veggies, or people who dont purposely eat a ton of meat or substitutes. so i would say either standard is okay and perfectly healthy. it's awesome you're eating clean! if you're getting most of those carbs from veggies, its okay to have a slightly higher ratio of carbs. just be sure you feel satisfied and you get around 30g of good fats/ day to aid in all of those minerals and vitamins you're taking in from those veggies and fruits!
