I love love love tzatziki and guacamole and salsa and hummus, but am trying to stay carb-free at lunch time.  I've been using red peppers to dip in the hummus (yummy!) but aside from carrots and celery, am having trouble coming up with any other non-carb or way-low-carb ideas to dip with.

Any ideas?

I think you're getting confused about what is a carbohydrate.  Peppers, carrots, celery and hummus are all carbohyrates of one sort of other.  The only foods low in carbohydrate are fats and protein.  So you'd need dips (and things to dip) based on meat, fish, cream etc.  Taramasalata perhaps?

i dip with cabbage!!! mmmmm... cabbage & olive tapenade - yummy!!! (cabbage & mustard is also good... as is cabbage & tomato paste!)

Sorry, yes, didn't think I'd have to be so specific about what I was looking for.

Before I changed how I was eating, I'd use crackers or corn chips or bread sticks or melba toast or things like that for dipping and I'm trying to cut those things out.  Um, so is "bread-like, flour or corn-based processed foods" a better description of what I'm trying to avoid?

Cabbage for dipping -- never would have thought of that one!  Exactly the sort of thing I was looking for!

cucumber spears
snow peas
snap peas
green beans (if you can't eat them raw, just steam them briefly)
Broccoli
Cauliflower

I LOVE cucumber spears in my guacamole.

In that case you can dip any kind of vegetable that takes your fancy... or you can spread small amounts of your favourite dips onto a slice/piece of cooked meat (roll up the slice...)

I particularly like zucchini and cucumbers because when you slice them, they are chip-shaped!
