I am not very far at all into my whole "lifestyle change", but here's my question. I need to lose around 60 lbs. I am doing an hour of cardio a day. I have also been doing pushups, situps and squats. Should I be toning now or should I wait until I lose the weight?

Also, what other toning exercises should I do besides pushups, situps and squats?

Yes you should be toning. Another exercise you can do without equipment is where you lay on your stomach, then lift your arms, chest and legs off the floor, using your lower back and butt muscles. Also, experiment with different types of situps/crunches. There is the reverse crunch where you lie on the floor like you are doing situps, put your legs in the air and then lift your butt of the ground. You can try just doing exercises without equipment for awhile, but eventually you will want to change your routine. Though, since you have a lot of weight to lose, you probably don't want to focus too much on toning because you won't be able to see it. But you still want to do some, since it will help you lose weight.
One that is great and so easy is lay on your stomach and raise arms and legs, so you are balancing on the stomach and hips.  You will look like superman:)  I've been doing this one for 1 min. at a time and am trying to do it 5 times a day.  It really works, everything is contracted so you have to work!  Hope that helps!
That's the one I was talking about. It's great for the lower back.
Thanks a bunch! I'll try that one.
