Carnation Instant Breakfast ideas?
I need to have a whopping 3 CIB's a day!
I'm getting kinda bored of them though.. anybody have any cool idea's about how to mix it with other stuff, and still get my Carnation Breakfast in?
Any particular reason you need to have 3 instant breakfast foodthings a day?

Yeah, I'm in recovery from anorexia.. :S
It's part of the meal plan.
Oh! CIB and me go way back.
Shakes made with ice cream/frozen yogurt, frozen fruit, coconut milk (or whole milk) and syrup.
Cook into oats, or mix into your milk with a cold cereal
Stir into yogurt (can be done, I swear!) If you add a teeny bit of milk and put it in the freezer for a bit, its like having ice cream.
Mix 1 packet vanilla or chocolate with a cup of coffee, some milk and ice. Instant iced coffee. Tastes like its from the 'Bucks too. If you want it hot, it works too. Also, if you mix the vanilla with cream and a black tea and a pinch of cinnamon, you get chai.
Supposedly the Vanilla flavor can be added into mashed potatoes, creamy sauces and dressings. I've never actually tried myself though so I can't tell you how good that actually is. I always liked doing mine in shakes or cereals or yogurts.
Thanks so much! :)
Yeah, Ive been on them for a couple months now, and just plain milk and powder gets old! I made chocolate sause this afternoon though.. by just adding a touch of milk.. Those are awsome ideas though! :) Thanks a zillion Rebelchick!! ♥
Personally, I'm an Ensure girl, but CIBs are pretty good...
-Put it in the blender. Add ice. This makes it thicker, more like a milkshake texture. Or, you can add fruit and ice (or frozen fruit). This gives it more flavor, and also a better texture.
-Use it as a substitute for milk in things like cereal, oatmeal, smoothies, etc
-Mix with coffee for either a vanilla coffee or a mocha (YUM)
-I have this $10 "foamer" that foams milk like a latte. I use it to foam my carnation instant breakfast and then add coffee
-Make a milkshake (CIB, ice cream, flavored syrup, fruit, etc)
I'm currently a big CIB fan, and I experiment with blender creations often. Also, if you go to their website, people have posted lots of awesome recipes. One of my favorite is super simple: 1 cup of ice, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 banana, 1 tbsp PB, and 1 packet (or a heaping scoop if you buy the big cheap containers of it like i do) of CIB. Blend it up, and you've got yourself a delicious peanut butter and banana smoothie!
Just this morning I made a fruity delightful creation w/ my chocolate CIB--1/2 a banana, handful of frozen raspberries & strawberries, big spoonful of vanilla yogurt, ice, milk, 1 tbsp PB, and CIB! Thick, delicious, and easily 500 calories or more! YUM.
Thanks! I'm exited to try all the great recipes you've given me! :-]
I'm gonna google the website right now to get more! ;)
