hi, i'm new here but have been trying to lose weight. tomorrow i'm going to
carrabbas for a birthday party dinner and ive been researching calorie content
on foods there. the "insalata fiorucci" apparently has 325 cals but that seems
low b/c it has goat cheese and dressing. does anyone know if those two items
are included in the count? i got my info off 'thedailyplate'.
thanks!
I'm not sure about whether or not it's in the count but honestly, I don't think you should be really worried about it. If you are you can always ask for no dressing, and even then, you're going out to enjoy yourself. Stick to water and avoid the bread basket, split a dessert with a friend if you're feeling cheeky and have your salad.
"Insalata Fiorucci - Mixed field greens tossed with marinated artichoke hearts, roasted red bell peppers and grilled eggplant in vinaigrette, topped with a hazelnut goat cheese medallion" - sounds good to me! Other good choices from the menu, in my opinion:
Grilled salmon, with vegetable of the day; on the Chef's sauce of the day, if the sauce is vegetable based or tomato based have it with it, but if it is dairy or cream based ask for no sauce.
Minestrone, or the soup of the day if it is a vegetable based, non-creamy soup.
Two antipasti instead of one main: crab cakes, shrimp scampi, cozze in bianco.
Most of all, just go and enjoy yourself!
I love Carrabbas! I always get the veggie pizza with no cheese and extra veggies, and eat about half. It's sooo good. Have fun!
thanks, i will be having dessert later so thats why i wanted something relatively low cal but also, since im new to all this cal counting stuff i just wanted to know how to check, etc. i know a few calories here and there doesnt matter but in the long run i just want to make sure im pretty accurate.
carrabba's has amazing bread. i see no reason to avoid the bread basket- just limit yourself to one. plus the olive oil/seasoning mix is amazing. mmm carrabba's
