So, you are a first year at Hogwarts...do you bring a kitty, a birdie, or a little toad?

I think I'd choose a cat, more for the company than anything else.  Seems like it would be kind of difficult to snuggle an owl or a toad :)

An owl would look cool and 'witchy' but I'd have to go for the kitty as well.  Oh, you could choose a rat too... like Ron had.

don't know what happened to my last responce... i was thinking aobut how handy it would be to have an owl if you wanted to socialize through mail with folks on the outside... but how what i really want right this minute is a kitty to cuddle.

Thanks Jennifer, I did forget about ratties!

back on the harry potter party idea... my daughter has bought in to the idea of harry potter birthday this year.  this does mean it will be a party for 5-10 year olds though (many of whom may not have read the books...) she wanted to get small stuffed versions of rats, cats and owls to give in the goodie bags.., we'll see what we find.  her idea was inspired by seing small stuffed owl toys in a store.

gotta agree with the cool-look owl thing!!!

But as those of you who've been here a while would know, I'm a cat person. Two or three of them. House cats. Although I think I'd be picked for Ravenclaw (I wish Gryffindor!) so a raven figurehead and a cat person... hmmmmm

an owl so i could write to people and not have to use the those stupid barn owls

Well I wouldnt bring the toad... I'd bring a cat and and owl. Mabye a small one like Pig.

I spose you said pick one, so I'd say cat because I dont like caging birds and also cats are more interesting to me and to interact with.

Harry mainly got pecked by Hedwig as there bond..
