Cats are cute and all, but dogs are better

I adore the idea of the "my cats are cuter than yours" thread.  However, while I love cats, I don't have one at present.

I do, however, have the most beautiful dog ever.  Feast your eyes! 

Let's hear from all of the other dog lovers out there.  Feel free to dispute my claim of Lucy's superiority ;)

My pooch, Sydney is awesome!  Smartest and most loyal dog I ever had.  I can't link from work, but her pic is in my profile.

She's an Australian Cattle Dog and loves to herd things, mostly the 3 cats! :o)

Kallie, aren't Aussie Cattle Dogs very very smart?  Does she untie your shoelaces while she herds you around?  I've heard that Australian Shepherds do that a lot, which I think is funny.

I love dogs to death! I miss my doggie, I can't have one here at my new place. I had to give her up to a new home. :(

I have a pom named Sonja (named after the movie "Red Sonja" cuz she has red fur-cheesy, i know!). She looks like a fox and is so adorable! She's not one of those tiny poms, she's 20 lbs. I'll have to put some pics up so everyone can see her cute, fluffy face. Lucy looks beautiful!

Growing up, I had a mix between a rottweiler and irish setter (think big, dippy irish setter with the rottweiler's coloring and stance).  Miss her, but I don't know if I'll ever have another dog.

Cats suck.

Lucy has a Pom friend!  Her name is Elle (she's a blonde Pom, and is named after the main character in Legally Blonde).  They are so cute when they chase each other around.  Lucy could eat Elle in one bite, but she really is sweet with her.

I used to think I was always a cat person, til my husband and I adopted our dog Mollie- love her!!!  I'll have to add her pictures to my profile...

kristagail, please do!!  I love to look at other people's doggies.  I thought I was a cat person all my life - I was frightened of dogs - until we got this golden-retriever mix that we called Jenny.  She was quite possibly the sweetest animal I have ever encountered.  Since then, I've been non-discriminating animal lover (the only mammal I don't like is guinea pigs.  They're too twitchy). 

Love how there are those of you that converted from the dark side.

he's so cute but can he?  purrr????  :)  he doesn'tt look as soft and fuzzy as my cat.  I wouldn't want to try and carry him anywhere or have him sit on my lap, either.  :)  That's why my cats are better then your adorable doggie.  :)  OH yes, and we never leave the house for a walk unless the weather is purrfect.

Maybe I should get a dog to help with my lack of excercise.  lol

I had a dog growing up...Siberian Husky.  She lived to be 18 years old.  What a great dog.  I'd have a dog now, but it wouldn't be fair as I'm never home.  Cats are much easier.

Hey...I love anything with Fur.  The only problem is that the Zoo will not let me cuddle with the Bobcat. I just don't get it!

Awwww Mollie looks like she has some beagles in her ancestry! My sister has a beagle named Tonka.  He's a crackup.

Well, tinker88, Lucy does sit in my lap (all 65 pounds of her), and she has an incredible number of little talkative noises that she makes, which aren't purring but are very entertaining.  Lucy is a great incentive to get my fanny off the couch and out the door to walk.  And can you wrestle with your cat without getting scratched?   That said, I like cats a lot too.  Cats are (usually) wonderfully graceful, and I think their feet are perfect - so dainty. 

yeah, I can only wrestle with the one who has no claws.  We box mostly.  :)  But he's not graceful, at all.

The other one would cause severe pain if we tried wrestling.  :)
