I'm noticing I can go 15 mins now non stop and at a steady pace. Did about 2000 steps (mine counts those more accurate than anything...) I have a little cheap Image 8.25 elliptical. Very basic. I dont know if I should belive the calories burned, but if its right then 300 aint too shabby. 

So from 10 mins about to die, to 15 mins non stop .. i see improvements!  I LOVE the feeling you get after a good worktout.  Hell I might go for another 15 so I can get that 30 min in for once.

Again, any advice would be killer =]

THANKS yall!

 

Well i decided to try some intraval training.  i noticed when i would lose my breath if i slowed down id be fine when i ready to kick ass and take names agian.  so maybe i didnt too bad of a workout even tho it was only 10 mins.

 

even tho i decided to do this.. PLEASE.  any more advice?  i like to see all ppls ways of how they battled the bulge..

I have fallen off the deep end =[  I've been having breakdown after breakdown.  Im killing myself it feels.

 

I havent counted calories for I know a week or more.  UGHHHHHHH

Someone slap me back into gear. 

I'm back to 181 which is where I started.  I got down to 177.9 ... then my Virginia trip f***ed all that up for me.   GR GR GR GR GR GR GR GR GR.  At least im 181 and not 186.7 like i was when I got back.  I think it was  all water weight.. at least most of it. 

Well enough rambling.

I need some motivation =[

Sorry ive been MIA

 I went back home this weekend to see family and let them know im alive and not prego lol. Well CiCi's pizza and BurgerKing got me. GRRR. new week so hopefully i lose whatever i gained.

Im not getting on the scale till Friday.

Time to go work off some of this CRAP.

Gr.  No loss.  I think I gained actually!  178.6.

I just went for a quick jog seeing how im a beginner and all.  In the backyard we have a 4-wheeler track.  Noting big at all.  Once around the flat part I do is about 1/4 a lap on a quarter mile track (if that makes sense), just questimating tho. 16  laps around that thing should be around a mile or so.  I can do 4 without feeling dead.  Which is SAD, seeing how some people can run for 30 minutes and not stop.  What I just did was (not run my buns off.. but faster then a jog) 2 laps, then walk one fast, jog 2 then walk one again.  Ill do that for about a week till its easy to run all 6 laps with maybe one fast walk inbetween.  Then the next week.. jog 3.. walk 1.. and so on.

Might not seem too hardcore for most of yall, but seeing how this is the first time I've actually done anything for the sake of working out.. i feel accomplished lol.

Before you know It ill be able to do a mile :-)

now time to clean up the little brother-in-law-to-be's room up so I can have access to his weights :-)

I'm serious about this more than ever now.  I MUST SEE A DROP.

i love WV to just VISIT.  Mom and step daddy live there, and they lovee it.  Got themselves a nice log cabin they built themselves, and about 7 acres of land on a hill a mile high it seems.  beautiful view. 

and nc is great .. i hate humidity, but i lived in VA all my life (cept when i was born overseas in Ireland) ...

Wbbuff- I'm no expert and HORRIBLE at explaining things, but I'll give you an example.

According to CC+ i  burn 1950 calories a day just living.  That number also calculated my level of activity (Sedentary).

Lets say I go for a walk for one hour, and i burn roughly 200 calories.

When I log that into the Activity Log, the number at the top of my burn meter should jump 200 cals.  (From 1950- 2150 i think)

The big bold numbers are about how much you've burned so far in that day just by living.

Help any?

Gosh, you and another poster on here are my life story, also it seems.  i use food instead of alcohol to cope with some negative feelings.

What seems to help me is to look in that mirror of mine (ghastly thing), and just TELL MYsELF that " DAMN I HAVE NICE CURVES!" while in reality i think most of my curves are from ROLLS, oh well cause the way i dress myself hides it and makes me just look womanly.

And i agree with the poster that said to make him feel good.  Thats another trick that i do.  I get aggressive with my boyfriend, and man does he like that. LOL.  He'll never know he just had a cow make passionate love to him (thats how i thought of it ... not insulting anyone!)

The comments he's made suck.  Mine doesn't actually say " shes hot," but for some reason i KNOW what he thinks is attractive and if i see some skinny bitch that looks remotely like he likes... i freak out.  I wish i could stop, cause he loves me and i love him.. thats what should matter.

Self image is a bitch really.

only thing that has EVER helped me was buying a sexy "nighty" gown that points out your assets and hides your "flaws" ...(TMI WARNING!!!) hopping on my man like a rabid porn star.. and doing what i think he likes.

Sorry im scatter-minded.   Bad habit.  =]

I have to agree. It's important to always put your best foot forwar, and that means looks-wise as well. Pictures should be representative of how you really look, not be too hoochie-mama, and present the best version of you that you can. Would you go to a job interview looking like hell because you don't want to be judged for your looks?? That would be crazy.

I got my fair share of creeps, yes, but weeding those out is part of the work, and you will not eliminate them with a bad pic. And I will tell you something else. My bf used to look quite different before he met me...he went through different phases, and about two years previous he was heavier and kinda looked like a hippie in his pics (long hair, fu manchu moustache, wore those flowy tops, eeks) and I would not have "smiled" at him if that was what was presented to me. I am not completely shallow, but I do aknowledge that looks have a lot to do with who we choose to get to know....thank god he cut his hair or I may have passed by the perfect guy for me. And thank god too that he did not pass by me because of my weight - I think he is more generous of spirit than I :) The fact is, you can't get to know everyone, there has to be some filtering, and looks is just one filter.

I meant not to settle for anything less than what you want kinda outta thinking about an experience.  That peice of advice IS off and im sorry.

About the picture statement I made.   I think that you should have a picture that looks how you would in person.  I am guilty of taking excellent pictures of myself, then in person, well, im a little less than a "10".  if you get what im saying.  I meant just be real instead of TRYING to attract with only a picture, what your interests and such should attract them also, not just your picture.

Been getting up early for the past two days trying to get used to it.  It's that time agian, job hunting time =[.    I want to work in the mornings or at least mid morning so I feel like I still have a "day."

It's about 1:15 here in good ol North Carolina ... here all by my lonesome ... Time to go poke around the 3 acres of land that needs some serious organization!  Fun fun  =[

Can't wait for tomorrow!

I've been looking into PCOS cause i have a suspicion that i have some sign of it. 

Weight loss is impossible for me.  And the hair :'( gosh i just wanna take my dads razor to my face.   good thing its blonde lol... anyways..

If you dont mind, can you tell me your symptoms that you've had.  I literally have all of them cept 1.  Cause i do have a regular period.

GR. I have so much energy today, and nothing to do!  I did some crunches and home stuff like that last night, and I don't really want to do them agian right now. 

We are under a Tornado Watch for our county.. and its POURING rain outside or else id go poke around in the yard a bit. 

Geesh ...  Geebus seems to be mad at me, cause the day I WANT to go do something by myseld instead of dragging the BF into it, he makes it rain! 

The (about) 3lbs is SORTA showing.  I've noticed a tiny change, like BARELY anything, but hell, a change is a change =]

This morning Breakfast and lunch have taken up MOST of my calories (I wanted some sausage =[ )  so now I have about 500 calories left till im at my limit. lol.  GARSH, this is ANOTHER week of heck. Guess its salad with chicken tonight <333

I should really start being super strict =[

I for some reason always give myself some "screw-up" slack.. but ive taken advantage of it, and i most likely wont see a drop on Friday =[  sad

Sept. 5th will be a month for me, and ive hardly dropped 3lbs, when im suposed to be about 4 down. 

I was gonna go for a walk yesterday with the BF but we ended up falling asleep on the couch after dinner lol.  We're so lazy.

But today.. I AM WALKING.  gr.

EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT.  Your agent is an ass, btw.  38 HIPS is not large at all. Some people are built to be tall and curvy...tall and thin... short and curvy and so on.  You shouldnt try and fit the cookie cutter image that your agent and that area of business wants.. thats just shallow.  Find what you feel comfortable in.

Im about 5ft6 .. currently 178lbs looking to be about 150

34-30-39(or 42) are the measurments. [right now im pear shaped.. but i morph into more of a hourglass once i lose weight.]  Well if i measure around the lower belly pouch thing.. then im like a 42 or something.  That damn mommy pooch is the devil xD

I LOVE my shape from the front.. its when i turn sideways you see my gut of all guts lol.I just want my stomache to go down a bit.  Some toning wouldnt hurt either.

Again.. moral of the story.  Stop watching TV and reading tabloids and trying to look like them.  Tell yourself youre hott how you are and strut your stuff  .. and BE HAPPY YOU CAN MODEL.  I was turned down about 5 years ago (13yrs) for modeling.. not cause of my weight.. cause i wasnt pretty lol.  and i happen to think im pretty decent looking.

I'll give it a shot, Tod. The only way I know how much sodium I eat in a day, is by averageing what CC calculates. The only problem is that I eat pretty decent to my standard...with the occasional slip up, but I still manage to stay within my range, so cutting back on Sodium might be a bit harder.  Who knows, though.  I just bought a ton of frozen veggie bags ( never go bad =] ) so ill start really cookin up a storm with those. 

Right now Im on a rampage with pita pockets, and some YUMMMMMMMMY flat bread wrap things.  I'm sure the processed meats are high in sodium, so maybe ill just cut those servings to half servings instead of the full... and use a lot more lettuce.  I should have been doing that in the first place, but im a MEAT eater lol.  and bread. 

Last night was delicious! we made up some Boca Burgers ( the bf doesnt like real meat too much ... its a guilt thing since he grew up with a lot of animals like cow and chickens .. he just cant eat them!) and had a huge salad with it <3333 yummmmmm.

I found that at 20 calories per serving... RELISH is a good sub. for dressings.  I use the juice and drizzle some on there and flop a good ol spoonfull of relish on top and mix it up.. good stuff.

Well it's time for the little sister-in-law-to-be to go to her first day of 4th grade!  She wants me to walk her up to the bus stop =]  She looks too cute!

Feeling kinda down again. =[  Having a fat day lol.  I went shopping again =X got some pants that fit me finally, but still.  I feel huge.   Water retention SUCKSSSS. 

Has anyone tried that pill thats suposed to help with that?  I get it so bad my hands swell and i can hardly make a fist =[  And i think its cause my Sodium intake is pretty high.  like 100-130% DV.   Crazy.

Erika: I have a metabolism?  HA!  I've been inactive and over weight all my life it seems.  I mean hell, I LOOK at a grain of rice and thats 10lbs on my right thigh.  It's sad.  Don't get me wrong, I guess naturally I DO have a bit of a faster metabolism, but for some reason I think otherwise.   I think about 2 years ago is when i went on a CRASH diet (lost 75lbs in 5 months at 500 calories a day =[) cause i was desperate, and since I think that messed me up pretty bad.  Hmm.  IDK though, yall seem to know what youre talking about.  All I know is I don't like not having energy cause I'm only eating 1250 cals a day.  1600 isn't so bad I feel, cause I'm satisfied. 

But enough contradicting myself, cause I feel I've done that...

Okay, I was on the activity thing to log some calories burned and I was wondering if all the calculations were right, or should I not rely on it?

Like for example, I went shopping today, about 3 hours total for walking and stopping and trying on and what not, and it said I burned about 500 calories.  If that's true.. then damn. LOL.  Just would like some opinions on it.

I also did some yark raking, and it said I burned about 100 calories.  (only 20 min of raking).

I've been reading up on some posts, and realized that me eating 1250 calories a day is just insane, and I wasn't feeling like I was doing anything or going anywhere.  Now I'm eating 1600 (cause i usually ate between 1500-1700) and I have more energy.  I gues what i'll have to do is find more extra things to do around the house.

Ramble ramble.

Ahhh!  Tomorrow is FRIDAY.  Can't wait to see what the scale says =]

Hi there, Goodness im glad i found some similar people finally.

The frame estimate by wrist thing doesnt phase me.  It says that I'm medium framed, yet the smallest ive been (hip bones poking and a cute, not flat and hard, but cute soft stomach) was a size 10/11!!  I'm a THICK girl.  I dont want to be all rock hard and bony or whatever.. I want to be womanly, but comfortable.

My stats are:

Height:  5ft6

Age: 18

SW: 180

CW: 178.4

GW: 150 .. then possible lower if i feel the need.  But I like being a soft 150, just not a rolly 180.  =]

Jenne- I too know what that's like.  The ONLY thing that helps me is cleaning house, and drinking warm liquids.  As for the bloat and water retention, man I wish there was a cure.  And needing to poo during that time is THE WORST.  Careful with all the extra fiber and miralax and what not.  (This is gonna the worst case of TMI EVER... butt....) I did that once, and it cause of some major anal leakage.  EWWWWWWWWWWWW.  ugh i felt gross writing that lol.

Well, Today was a good day for me.  Not very active at all, cept I did some house work that needed done.  That helped pass 3 hours by.  I'm gonna go for a walk later though.  Hope that releives some of my "auntie" cramps.  Hmpf.

Two more days till weigh-in.  I'm excited =]

Oh goodness yes. Organic PB tastes so much better then the other stuff.  I have grandparents in Windsor, VA that own a peanut field so you could only imagine the number of Peanut Butter pies, cookies, breads, pancakes, candies, AND homemade PB jars ive consumed.  I <3 PB.  =]  I have some of the stuff thats SUPOSED to be "organic" but its made in America ... so we all know its NOT, but it tastes similar.  ahhhhhhh.. im ranting about PB.. I might have to go make me a peanut butter and apple sandwhich. lol.

Morning morning morning!!!

Last night I FINALLY convinced the boyfriend to walk about 3 miles with me <333  We went at first for 2 miles then home because the sun was blaring right in our faces, but then at sun down we took some flashlights and walked a good mile.  I felt GREAT.  It helped me burn some of them calories i over ate on because of "auntie".

Man banana bread and PB sounds so good, Dina!

Today I have the young ones again, I'll see if today they feel like walking with me lol.  Yesterday they didn't ... too busy playing BRATZ on the floor =]

... Time to move a little!

eek, sucks to hear about all yalls sickness and such.  I always heard Ginger Root is good for you when it comes to colds and stuff.  I just boil some water in a cup and dip th root in the water like a tea bag.  Add some cinnemon and youre good to go.  Always helped me thru bronchitis in the winter when i was a kid.

 

Dina- Oh yes... i LOVEEEE chai!  I dont add the milk and such in it like some places do, I do cinnamon and honey, sometimes a drop of lemon.  I can't afford to buy the loose stuff, nor is there a whole foods store within 50 miles it seems, so I just buy good ol TAZO teas.  I discovered Chai at a spa in Williamsburg, VA where i used to live.  Man I was beyond relaxed.

And eva def dont beat yourself up over "flo weight"  Im going thru the same crap as we speak.  I'm also thinking about skipping weigh-in.  You should keep track of about how much you gain during her little visit, and just remind yourself of why that little bit is on you.

Gooooood morning alll!

Summer time laziness has gotten over me, and I slept thru my 7am alarm till 9:30, but even that is early for me =]

I didn't get to try and do a jog/brisk walk this morning, but since im watching two young ones (8 and 9) I plan on seeing if they want to walk with me.  They're my shadows so im sure they will lol.

Also, I'm starting to FEEL so much better then I ever did before eating right.  I really like that.  I don't feel like a pile of lard anymore, its more like a pile of lard slowly decreasing in lardy-ness.  Great feeling.

I can't wait for September 5th.  That will be my 4 week mark, and when I take measurments.  I don't think I'll lose much if any inches, but hey, I'll never know.

ahh ... Chai Tea with honey and cinnamon. Yummmm.

Well I just bought some supplements to go along with what little calcium I do get by foods.  Hope that works just as well.  My multi vitamin only has 25% of calcium intake.. and i doubt i get the rest from food.

Oh and btw all... DAY AFTER weight ins my water retention subsided, and aunt flo decided to stop by for a 4 day visit.. and the 2.4lbs of bloat flew away =]  I'm happy.  177.6 for me now =]=]=]=]=]=]=]=]
