i swear, i am doomed to be fat for the rest of my life!

i cant get the scale to budge.

alli has helped with one thing...i dont eat sweets! what good is that if the scale aint moving!!!!!

and im working so much that i literally, have no time for the gym...i work 12's which end up being 14's and i physically cant go after i work that long...

just dang. thats all i can say at this moment!

maybe a nap will help...i am tired....lol

hope all is well with all out there ...

HEY to all!

carol...yes..alli is working for me in the sense of steering me away from sweets...i feel like my cals are in the perfect range. you couldnt get me to eat anything sweet for nothing!!!! i do drink FF hot coccoa and have a FF pudding every now and then..its not the same as cake icing....but itll do.

we had a baby shower for this chickadee at work the other day and there was fattening stuff EVERYWHERE!!!! and i just dodged it...like it was the plague...so, YES..its working for me....i live in fear...but its working  ! lololol!

im up today...but i ate a lot last night...im hooked on FF bean burritos. i make them at home...with FF cheese...they really help things to get moving!

im off to the gym....

question.....why is it that its easier for me to eat good at work then when i get home its like all H*** breaks loose... i dont get that...is it just me?

oh, and how much water are all of ya'll drinking...i do 2 quarts..but feeling like i need to do more...

???

just so ya know etahbear....after my measly 3 and half mile run/jog/walk...i came home and blow dryed the sweat to my head...grabbed a smoothie and have been in bed ever since!!!! life is good ! lol

oh, i did get up to pop some popcorn ...twice.

hello to all!

let me preface this by saying "i am in no way shape or form promoting the use of diet pills...." but! for me...sweets are my weakness and once i start, i truly cant stop. so i am using alli as a crutch to wean myself off of sweets...today is WEEK TWO without sugar!!!! now girls, that is a celebration! lol

i am living in fear...of you know "treatment effects" but i am also 179! so...thank the good Lord....

i am hoping and praying that by the time my 20 day supply runs out, i will have transitioned into eating a low calorie, (1600 a day) and low fat diet...which, amazingly enough, makes me feel GREAT! i just feel better, all around.

with that being said..im off for a run...so i can enjoy a big fat fruit smoothie! my latest addiction....and quite expensive! but hey! im worth it, right! some choose starbucks...i choose smoothie king !lolololol  this weeks purchase--a big blender so i can start making my own...

make it a good sunday!

etahbear--you are precious! thank you for saying that...i feel like we have a special connection...the whole "issue" and the desire and need for reconstruction. not many people "get" me when i start talking about it..so thank you for just being you and silently knowing what we both deal with. now i feel all warm and fuzzy! lololol!

this whole counting FAT and CALORIES is SOOO new to me, im kinda knocked off my rocker. i have NEVER counted fat grams before and its SOOOO different. when i did atkins about 6 years ago, i swear it brainwashed me into thinking that carbs will send you to hell! LOL! so now when i even think about eating a plain baked potatoe or bread of any kind, i have to silently pray...please Jesus, let this be the right decision.

any one relate?????

im 180 today...which is great...for i was 183.8 two days ago...another thing i swear is --getting older is CRAZY!!!!!! i have NO CONTROL over my body and i am struggling with wanting to show it a thing or two and make sure that it remembers who is boss! ME!

oh well, just for today..i will eat right, low fat, count my cals...not to exceed 1600---and exercise....for its the next right thing to do. and i will try to love myself for where i am today....

i appreciate your response. i feel like i have hit 35 and BAM!!! i have NO metabolism...at all! but then again i have to remember that i am not working out like i used to either.... no where close to it. i used to have a rule that i would burn no less than a 1000 cals a day...going to the gym twice a day to do it...but now, i rejoice over a measly 300! life is crazy these days, more busy than crazy. ya know?

i am going to use alli as a tool to scare myself into not overeating. because i am a big time "on it" 2 days and "off it" 3-4 days ...so now that im taking this, im SO fearful of **** my pants (LOL) ---i have been "on it" for 3 days straight and theres NO temptation of cheating....so, we'll see.

im a very low fat eater any way...its the desserts that i have a problem with..but angel food cake is FAT FREE!!! j/k!

Hello to all!!!!

i havent been on here in a few weeks for i started a new job downtown and its occupying ALL of my time and energy! i almost want to quit so i can work out again!!!! lololol

i have been steady in the 180's getting VERY frustrated so i have opted to try Alli....any thoughts?

im off today so off to the gym i go!

ETAHBEAR! you are the bombdiggity! you inspire me girl! i have actually lost over a hundred lbs myself--so i hear ya about the saggy ****! although ive had some reconstructive done...there is more in my plan...

 

Carolally----not sure what to say...seems like you are eating enough, i just wander what would happen if on the days you ran if you upped your cals just a hair to maybe 13-1400....maybe for a mid am snack?  and the peanut butter---i am totally convinced that its the culprit of stalls or no wt losses...without a doubt...in fact....throw that jar out ASAP! lol

im headed to the gym---i made some soup last night that i cant wait to get home and eat so i need to go work out  fast! my scale is 182---and i am so bloated! God i cant wait to me 175---life is just so much better down there!

i dont know if anyone has read the book "life without ED'

but its GREAT!

ED is eating disorder and ED is the name i call my fat...or should i say my obsessive compulsve overeating thought process.

its a great book and it made me realize that i am not crazy...my thoughts were completly validated.

skookum....thank you for the encouragement! i feel SOOO far away from my goal...but i know that its doable....while eating right, or further more, while eating period!  btw---LOVE your hair...im going to hit 160 then get my whacked! its TOO long....but God, so simple and easy ! im such a ponytail girl.

i just have to keep telling myself that just because im losing doesnt mean i need to quit eating...its like i see the scale go down and i think "if i dont eat as much, ill lose even faster!"  and that is not the truth, right? atleast its not healthy, and being in the medical field, i know this ! my mind plays tricks with me...im i alone in this?

i am a veggie because i did the atkins about 5 years ago and ate so much meat....i wandered what it would be like to not eat meat for a week...and that week has turned into years...

i cant describe to people what the difference is...i feel cleaner, lighter...

granted, ive not been as full as i used to get when i ate meat..but thats all good.

another question for all---what are some low calorie foods that you like that keep you full for a few hours..(or minutes!lol)

im doing 100 cal bag popcorn, apples, spoon of
PB2 peanut butter, that stuff is the bombdiggity! its powdered peanut butter with only 53.6 cals per T. you reconstitute it with water...and its just like the full fat pnut butter!

im just trying to think of some food that i could keep on hand that would help me out through the day.

thoughts?

okay....so i got my tits out of the box ! lol

i am doing 1600 cals today come hell or highwater!!!!

and speaking of what i am going to do...i am going to the gym NOW!

to get my run on so i can eat....

question for all...how many cals do you add to your daily intake if you excersice?

im thinking 200????  so, if i want to take in 1600 today but if i run 3 miles...i can take in 1800 .....but if i dont run, stick to 1600. does that sound right?

i refuse to eat at my emotions this week...lets just say  today....today i refuse to use food as a tool to deal with my emotions! why is that so freaking hard????

i am SOOOO into this thread !

i have been reading it over the past few days and am in love with all of you girls!

lol

i am 5'10.5 and weigh 182.2    goal is 155. 

i have never counted cals before and am just unsure of what to even do. i am thinking about 1600 a day, even with running.i have low carbed and loss a tremendous amount (over 100lbs) but i went veggie about 4 plus years ago and have steadily put on about 20 pounds!!!

any thoughts would be GREATLY appreciated.

oh, and skootum(sp?) i agree with you! let that man step up and call you back....the ball is in his court now... let the games begin! lololol

love it!

btw..i am so discouraged about being as heavy as i am right now. i need help!
