on average 2-5 lbs I have went as high as 10 lbs spoke to a Dr. about it and he did not seem shocked by it

well I ate a peep on Easter and said "what a waste of calories" they have no flavor! I did not regret it I was just disappointed they did not taste as good as I thought they did when I was a kid,hee-hee

o.k. I have to share this stroy.earlier this week I had to go to the laundy mat I had nothing much clean.I put on this skirt that is a size 16 it was very loose I was so excited I love when my clothes don't fit not because I'm too big but because they are too big.anyway at the laundry mat my lil girl got her hands dirty I took her to the sink and washed her hands when I turned away from the sink I felt a draft well it turned out that the skirt was a lot bigger than I thought it had fallen down well below my bottom! I was laughing so hard and yelling at my son who was standing behind me "why didn't you tell me" He just laughed at me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wow,St. Patricks Day is less than 3 weeks away I did not even realize that.I guess I'd just like to be 165 by then that is just 2 lbs down from the 24th.I'm glad there are still ppl signing in on here.I had to stay away so I would not obsess about losing but now I'm back and plan on sticking with it for a while again.I make myself take time off when I get really obsessive and all I think about is food or losing weight I try to keep myself from becoming a phsycho but it is so easy for me to,lol!

well I'm glad to see some of us are still around,I have been trying real hard to not worry about losing weight so much as just trying to get and stay healthy.well my Anniversary was on Tuesday and I did not even buy new clothes (only a pretty nighty,hee-hee) so that was a huge accomplishment for me.I would be devastated if I did not fit into any cute clothes.Anyway I have been eating Maintenance level calories and am happy to say I lasted a long time now.I think I'm ready to try to lose again so I'm back.I have still been weighing myself that is one obsession that I can not seem to stop.I was 167.8 on my Anniversary.I am so excited about what my husband bought me.I am absolutely Blessed to have him in my life he totally spoils me and I love him for it.He bought me a heart monitor that shows Calories burned on it as well as monitors my heart rate,I have been wanting one for a really long time.And for our anniversary he got me the Trampoline I wanted as well as a Pilates work out kit.They both came with a workout Dvd.I have tons of Dvd's but get really tired of then after a while so I needed new ones.He is so helpful and supportive when it comes to me wantiing to lose weight but most importantly he wants me to take care of myself.He has always told me I was Sexy and Beautiful but I have such a terrible self image so he tries everything to help me think better of myself.I have so much fun with the Heart monitor I put it on to do things I always do to get a rough estimate of how many calories I burn in an average day.I am surprised to see that I burn way more than I thought.This is a really good motivator to exercise as well I'm having so much fun with it,lol!

I am eating maitenance today and then on Friday I am going back to weight loss amount of calories.I am hoping to be 160 by the first day of Spring I'm sure I can make it.I also just want to fit into the skirt I wore on our first date by the 22nd of July(yes we celebrate our first date anniversary,lol).we went to a Hawaiian Luau for our first date and we dressed the part so I would love to get back into the skirt by then which I have tons of time to do so.It is a size 12 so I'm sure if I'm 150 by then it will fit.I'll make you guys laugh with what I did last year,I got a Baby sitter and then I made Hawaiian recipes and decorated as if we were at a luau that was not the funny part so here it is,I put on a Bathing suit and Grass skirt and waited for him when he got home I put a lei around his neck.I wore the outfit the whole meal too it was a lot of fun.well this year I'd like to wear the outfit I did when we first went out so that is my big goal for now.

I hope you all are doing well and losing all that extra weight.healthmd I'm sure you are out of the 180's today that will be so exciting for you!!!!!!!!!

I would love to join in!!!!! I am a 32 mother of 3 two boys 13,11 and a 1 year old baby girl.I am 5' 4" and last time I weighed myself I was 168.4 I would like to be 150 and then see if I need to lose anymore.I'm glad tp find this challenge!

dizzytoday,my kids are 13,11 and 16 months.they older two do not have problems unless they run outside when it is very hot.she is actually the one who was the sickest from this.My mom would smoke around the older ones but is very respectful toward not smoking around my lil girl.I don't agree with Dr.'s a lot of times because I know they are "practicing" medicine so they don't exactly know 100% for sure what they say is true so I try to read up on what they tell me.

That is real crazy about your sons teeth,what are they doing for his teeth? like is there some way to avoid further problems? I am scared of Medicine because some of the side effects are more dangerous than some of the symptoms that you are having.my husband gets a kick out of the commercials for meds that say may cause DEATH! he thinks it is such a ridiculous risk to take!but in many cases they are needed and it is just a matter of weighing the risks with the benefits always are scary situation to be in.I really am glad you shared your experience because it is nice to find someone who has been through what I am going through it lets me realize this too shall pas,lol!

My sons immune system was so bad that kid caught everything ( hoof and mouth,  fifth disease  weird rashes,hives )   it was due to the steroid he was on, it damaged his immune system.  now as a result of super high fevers and constant med some of his back molars are damaged and decaying as they're growing in.   I tell it's one thing after another once your a mom nothing is easy.   I hope your baby gets better soon ,oh yah and don't worry about your weight while she's this sick it wont even do you any good.    Smile   Take care.

 

oh my where do I start on the meds,lol! she has Albuterol (nebulizer) Pulmicourt (neb also) this is supposed to be a preventative one and the Antibiotic is Azithromycin she only has to take it for 5 days and then the steroid she is on the Dr says its not good to take for a long time so she is only to take it for 2 days and that is Millipred.

That really sucks about your son! I have two older kids and they both had RSV so I saw the signs right away and took her to the Dr. on a Thur and the Dr said it was just a cold let it takeit's course I told him I thought it was RSV and mentioned about my boys he said I was just being paranoid but the Sat following she could not breath so I rushed her to the E.R. and sure enough it was RSV.alo when she first started showing signs of Asthma I told the Dr. she had a cough to where she would turn blue and sort of stop breathing but tested her for whooping cough and then finally realized it was Asthma.some Dr's do suck!

I am sorry about your lil ones teeth! Teeth pain is horrible I hope he is not in any pain from it how old is he? I'm glad you shared your experience with me!Thank

 I was busy with my 16 month old she has Bronchitis/Asthma so I have been carrying around a 25 lb lil girl and that burns quite a bit but did not have a chance to figure it all last night,I was too exhausted to care,lol.I have plans for this evening so I figured all I will be doing and added it all to  post it now.This is actually a ton of fun and motivation.I just need to get a chance to exercise (other than carrying baby)!

thank you all so much for the replies I feel much better now!

dizzytoday RSV is how it all began for her! she was hospitalized with RSV at 3 months and then it went straight to Asthma.her ears are fine but is on an antibiotic for the Bronchitis,it is very stressful!I'm glad I got good feed back I do feel better!!

Thank you for the tip I will try the humidifier! Asthma is a very scary problem to deal with and it disturbs our lives for short periods of time throughout the year!

I am o.k. with my food choices,I just don't have normal hours I've been going from midnight to midnight.I ate dinner at midnight last night and then went to sleep at 3 a.m. then get up at 5:30 to get the kids off for school then back to get some sleep.then now I'll be up until who knows when! the baby seems to get sick at night so she is crying a lot when it is time for bed,ugh! I just was wandering since I am not on a regular schedule right now will my weird hours affect my weight?

o.k. can I join in starting tomorrow I will be happy with just losing 2 lbs by Valentines Day but I do want to lose 4 by the 24th (my anniversary!!)anyway I will start logging tomorrow this is a good way to stay accountable!  if I have to publish my food journal on the internet that will be motivation to stay on track!

allibugg don't worry about the 100 cal packs an occasional snack isn't terrible and you will learn as you go to make better choices so keep up the great work and keep adding more and more healthier choices everyday!

o.k. I suck lol! I have back pain so I ate 1730 calories and burned 1787 so that is a difference of only a 57 calorie deficit not off to a good start but hopefully my back will be better and I can exercise again soon!

bkmanda,I'm sorry you have to go through this horrible time! I am glad you came back to update us! we are here for you and we have all cried to each other on this thread and I'm glad we all stuck together even after Christmas!

healthmd I know I look better than before but not pre-pregnancy yet.my son brought me a picture from a couple months after the baby was born and was sickened by it.It's funny how when I was over 200 lbs nobody thought anything of it and now when they look back they are shocked by how much I've changed.even my husband said "WOW!you lost a lot of weight!" funny how your husband noticed a 2 lb gain that would make me sad and frustrated but I think it would motivate me to stayy on track.my husband always tells me I'm sexy or beautiful.I think if he would just say you're fat or something that would get me to stay on track!anyway I'm sure you all are just retaining water I know carbs do that to ppl.so just give it time you'll all be down again!

healthmd that is great advice you gave gram-gram! and I know what you mean about how we see ourselves versus how others see us.but as far as my mother in law goes it is hard for me to accept her "seeing" me as skinny since their whole family is big so to them when I was 200+ lbs I was small,lol! I do feel more confident about my appearance since I fit into a skirt I wore before having baby but it was tight on my butt so I know a few more pounds to go and I'll be wearing it again.also I bet your hubby is thrilled about your weight loss,you've lost lots of it!you should put a recent picture up of yourself so we can see the difference.what size were you wearing before you started?I'm going to get some pictures up on my computer so I can show my progress.

gram-gram I wish you lived closer so we could keep eack other in check with our commitments! I know it is hard to hear your daughter speak so mean just try to stay away from her for a while.I know it is easy for me to say because I am not in that situation but I have been through something similar but with my mom.I have not spoken to her since November.I have to stay away because of her verbal abuse.I'm not saying stop being there for her forever but just take a week or so off to let yourself gain some strength in order to deal with everything.you need to take care of yourself I know as parents we are always the last one we worry about but your grandchildren and your children need you to be healthy and strong for all of them.I will send you a private message with a little more detail of my situation with my mom so you can see I have been through something similar.maybe we can encourage each other to stay on track for our healths sake! love ya,and I'm here for you Candi

GOOD LUCK GRAM-GRAM!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am being told that I am getting "too thin" trust me I'm not I finally fit into 14's and am still big so ppl are CRAZZZZY!  yesterday at church my mother in law asked if I lost weight and I told her not anymore sice Thanksgiving (I lost 4lbs since then but that is not noticeable) anyway she said you look sooo thin! BALONEY,he-he! I still got a confidence boost from that though because yesterday morning I fit into 14's for the first time.also yesterday my husband told me when he first saw me in church (he went in earlier to help with a bus) anyway he said I looked the way I did when we first got married.(I was a month pregnant when we got married,oops) so I teased him and said so I look pregnant! He laughed but I knew what he meant.also last night he grabbed my butt (tmi I know) and said your butt is so small! for me it is not that I am so small but a lot smaller than I was after having the baby.all the comments gave me a huge boost though and will help me stay focused on exercise and eating right.I'm still trying not to obsess about my weight but that is a huge battle.I have been so wrapped up in losing weight now that it is all I think about sometimes! I am trying to focus on health now.

I went to the gym on Saturday and gram-gram you were right I hurt my back! it is better today but I was disappointed with myself after my workout.I am supposed to use the Elliptical but they were all in use so I got on the Treadmill and that was a bad idea!!! The Chiropractor had told me to stay off the treadmill and now I know why!!! I won't do that again.anyway I'm planning on going Tues,Thurs,and Sat,to the gym but working out with a dvd the rest of the week.I have tons of Sweating to the oldies but I also have a Biggest Loser dvd and it really focus' on the butt and thighs which are my problem areas.it is Bob from the Biggest loser and he is really good.

I want to give a little more detail about my last post.well I weigh 169.6 now but about the health issues.I've shared about the PMDD well I believe that I actually still have depression but the hormone changes during ttom affects it and makes it worse.I have been noticing different things that I am going through emotionally that show it is depression.about a week ago I realized I had not gone anywhere other than to take the kids and pick them up from the school bus.I wasn't even going to church.then last Sunday I woke up with an anxiety attack they kept coming and going all week now and my husband has been telloing me it is still depression but I guess I've been in danial! well on Thur I was thinking I need to stop worrying about my weight and focus on taking care of myself.well naturally eating right and exercise is a part of taking care of myself so I'm not backing down from that just going to try to stop obsessing about losing weight.

I have recommited to the gym I have a membership and was faithful for a long time but back in October when my back problem was diagnosed I got real lazy.I am going to go AT LEAST 3x a week again because I know exercise is a  huge way to get my mind in order.I only feel depressed with hormonne fluctuations but there are other problems that I deal with that I do not realize is depression but in reality it is.I'm sure glad I have an amazing husband because if I didn't have him I would not even take care of myself well.I don't know how long this will last but I do need to learn how to live with it and keep it in check.I had the baby 9/29/2007 and this started about 3 days after she was born

I am so excited! My husband has agreed to do the 30 day meal plan on the 50 million pound challenge.com! I found the site and checked it out it has a meal plan with a shopping list and everything.I think it is so awesome it will work for me since the meals are already planned and a list made all I have to do is prepare the food.it lets us eat 6x a day so I can eat ALL day and keep my calories low.I calculated it and it is actually less calories than what I usually eat so I should lose a pound a week and my husband 2 lbs a week.my husband is a big guy and he would like to lose 100+ pounds so this is a wonderful thing.today is day one and I am so thrilled he has agreed to go along with it.I just showed him the site and he said sure if you do it I'll do it.that is a huge step for him since he HATES vegetables and we eat a lot of them.I am lucky that I can eat them all the time I LOVE them.anyway thought I'd share my excitement with everyone.I hope everyone is staying on track and that everything is going well for y'all.
