Laura - so glad you're posting again! Let's do it.

MrsD - I hope you had a great night with Geno. I love live music. I also wish you were here so my mother and you could cook together and I could be left in peace while I read trashy romance novels on the couch :-)

ReRe - do it now, while you're still young! What (US) size are you?

HH/Debbie/Laura/Everyone - we're all in it together, let's go!

Me - I went out last night for karaoke to a "local" bar. $2 beer night, any beer, all night. I am HURTING this morning and dehydrated down to 226...

I'm here, I'm here!! I don't know where Sharpie is...she better be being good!

MrsD - happy birthday to Geno. I love birthdays.

New Moon - anyone see it? Thank you God for Jacob Black. My girlfriends and I read the books together and we are such dorks. We frequently seriously discuss Jacob vs Edward. Ridiculous but oh so fun.

Me - This year has sucked balls (excuse me) as far as weight loss goes. I now have a goal to get down to 220. That will be minus 15 on the year and will make me happy.

(tough love) Rant - WTF happened to us? We were weightloss CHAMPS and now what? (Here I go) I can't believe this. We used to be 2-3lbs/week! We have GOT to refocus dammit - ALL OF US! I know that we can do this. Laura started this forum over a year ago and now we just sit on our asses and check in with NOTHING to report. We owe it to ourselves and to each other to do better. We can do better. WTF cares that the holidays are here? It doesn't mean we have to eat like idiots ALL day EVERY day. We can lose weight and we need to start doing it NOW. Let's go, all of us!

(loving) Rant - come on girls, I know we can do this. We are so great in so many ways that losing a little bit of weight is totally doable. Let's head BACK to the gym and AWAY from the fridge!!!!! Let's do it!!!!!!!! Woohoooo :)

AND I went to the grocery store today and purhcased really yummy healthy stuff for lunch. I had oatmeal for breakfast, an apple for snack, tuna/hummus on a 100 cal sammie for lunch with a banana and have a granola bar scheduled for 3:30pm. Not sure what dinner will be but I'm thinking of good things!

BTW - I gained 13lbs between May 10 - June 11 and none of it's budged since. I'm sorry but THAT is weird, 5 months of NOTHING, excuse me for a moment of silence and self reflection...

SURELY I can get 15 lbs off by NYE and be at an all time low of 210 for the new year?!?!

227 after the weekend AND on my period - wtf. I BETTER see 225 next Monday or I will SCREAM. The good news is I am so ready to get back to the gym, the bad news is I'm completely crunched for time. I hope everyone had a great weekend.

MrsD - what have you been cooking? Gym?

I am booked for Vegas 2010 for 4 nights at T.I. which is much better than Flamingo so I am super excited!!!!!!! Now I have Vegas and a wedding to movitvate me into losing weight!

I'm hoping to be back on board with all you gym bunnies soon!

Holiday Season: I hate to NOT look forward to it but between work, friends and church I literally have either a potluck or a party every other night starting next Friday...FML - wish me luck!

I will agree with the posters who said they don't judge anyone with or without make up. Just because YOU like wearing makeup 24-7 doesn't make you some sort of alpha-female more deserving of your ovaries. Talking/thinking smack about other chicks that you don't even know just because they choose not to make themselves up is why quite a few girls have "such a hard time finding good girlfriends".

Being a girl and feeling good about being girl isn't just about makeup. The last time I vividly remember thinking "thank god I'm a girl" was at a bar watching a guy go up to his friend and shove him for no reason. The guy spilled his drink while his other friends hi-fived each other and laughed. Those guys thought that was funny, my girlfriends and I were horrified and thankful that we are girls who don't have to deal with that from each other.

MrsD - I've said it before and I'll say it again: I LOVE YOUR FOOD POSTS! I'm going to have to figure out a crunch/stretch/corebuilding routine that doesn't invovle over extending my knee. My gym does free classes so maybe I'll hit one of those up. Yoga or pilates?

Sharpie - we can so do this. My friends and I are having dinner tonight and Lizzie says "we have to let Dawn pick the restuaraunt because she wants to lose 20lbs by NYE". The more we share what we're doing with our loved ones the more they will support us. As far as the wedding, I agree. I have until May to be completely toned and ready for it. If I'm a dress size 12 now MAYBE I could be a 10 by then?!?!

Me - time to put up or shut up. I can't work out and am going to have to see a doctor about my knee. That means I have no choice but to eat better, much better. Science says you can lose weight by reducing calories regardless of exercise which means I CAN DO THIS.

I hope yall have a lovely Friday and a splendid weekend.

MrsD - your encouragement helps so much! It looks like I'm just going to have to take it easy, hit the weight room a little and watch what I"m eating much closer. Best of luck to you and Geno, I hate this freaking "economy" so many people being out of work! Also, good job with the alcohol. I've not done as well...luckily I have so much homework I'm not going ANYWWHERE except the library this weekend :)

Me - wow moment: went to Express with a couple of friends last night, a store that I had previously never entered because I was just too big. Even now that I've lost weight I still stick to my old familiars such as Macy's, NY&Co, Old Navy, Gap etc. Well last night at Express I bit the bullet and tried on a little black dress size L (the largest in the store) and it fit! I am going to have SO much fun when the next 20lbs FINALLY come off discovering new stores to shop :)

Gym this morning was NOT good. I'm going to try again on Friday - sad face.

I have a lunch meeting today and a wedding event at Bloomingdales tonight. My friend Jenny has asked me to be a bridesmaid (in May) so we're starting our planning...

MrsD, this is what cyber-jealousy feels like! I am pea green with envy. I haven't worked out since the 24th because of my stupid knee!! Rock and roll for both of us!

Sharpie - sooo cute! My friends and I agreed to go back to dressing as a group next year. It's just so much fun :)

Me - hanging tight at 226. I'm going to bite the bullet and TRY the gym tonight :)

My job: This morning our title company brought in fruit and donuts, an agent brought in a cookie bar and brownie tray that she just HAPPENED to bake last night for the heck of it and our lender brought in a chocolate birthday cake. All of that was just hanging out in the kitchen. When I went in the kitchen just now the only thing left was 1 cookie bar and about 1/2 the cake. We do NOT have that many people in this office so I did what I thought was the right thing for the sake of EVERYONE: I threw the second 1/2 of the cake away. WTF PEOPLE!

One of my really good friends' husband was visiting from England (long story) and so I ended up eating a crapton of food last night but I'm weighing in at a solid 226. This week's goal is gym/counting. I actually think oddly enough NO gym last week has helped my body regulate if that makes sense. This is my first Monday morning weighing in 4lbs below 230 in MONTHS so I'm not going to blow it with poor eating this week. We will see 224 on the scale by Saturday morning. Hoo-rah!

Challenge - no reports? I say we start again today. 210 minutes by next Sunday evening ladies!!

Well MrsD, I drank a lot. No candy but I drank myself silly. The alcohol has dehydrated me so much I weighed in at 225. I am hoping hoping hoping I'll be good for the gym tomorrow. I figure no treadmill, just elliptical...we shall see. As far as candy goes I also "just said no". At one point my friend and I ended up sharing a cab with these guys (5 guys and us in one cab) and one of them had a TON of candy. Not even Halloween candy but actual bars he'd just bought. So he's pulling out all of this candy and everyone's chowing down but not me!!! I settled for the gum :)

Hi Swtpinkpea - I love your SN. You're not too late to join!!! Welcome on board ;)

MrsD - I love your candy defense of hiding in the Man Room. Awesome. I'm going to hit the grocery store tomorrow for HEALTHY options. I feel like we're both back...yes?

Me - weighing in at 225 this morning (with no gym in a week) but I think it's the alcohol dehydrating me. I just have to get through ONE more crazy day/night and then I'm good. I'm praying praying praying that I can workout on Monday.

Everyone be SAFE tonight!

Debbie - you're going to have to drag us down with you!!!

hhdrgn - my best friend's birthday is Nov 1 so we always party the night before. This year we're bar hopping and POSSIBLY crashing a party. I'm not sure if I want to go to the party cuz a boy from my past has already RSVPed yes that he's going and I know he's not going to flake cuz one of his good friends asked my good friend if this is the same party...thanks Facebook for helping me plan my life...btw last year my friend dressed as a naughty school girl and I actually have pictures of dirty old men totally checking her out. Good luck with that ;)

Sharpie - I went to Forever 21 last night to check out their plus size section and ummmm NOTHING fit decently. I refuse to believe that I'm a size 12 according to the Gap, NY&Co and Calvin Klein but NOT Forever21 - boohoo. I think you need to ship me the red and black dresses...

Knee - last night as I was telling my friend how much better my knee was and that I'll be back in action soon I proceeded to wack it against this counter ledge thing...we'll have to see.

I'm going to drink a ton this weekend. <--- that's me NOT lying to myself. One of my best friends is home from Manhattan (the one I stayed with a few months ago) and so I have to go out with her tonight. Then my "wifey's" birthday is over the weekend. Oh and I went out drinking last night. I know the scale is going to hate me on Monday but I'm prepared for it. As long as I'm UNDER 230 I won't completely flip out.

Have a good weekend, I love yall :)

MrsD - swimming really isn't a viable option for me :(

I'm hanging out in the exact same weight range despite no exercise. I'm being MUCH more careful with my eating because I know I don't have the extra wiggle room. This morning the old knee feels better so I think MrsD advice to lay off of it helped. I'm hoping to be back at it by Saturday?

Challenge - girls, don't for a second think that we aren't continuing this next week!!!! I think we should alternate between exercise and food challeneges.

Music - I've always been a big big John Mayer fan followed by Gavin Degraw and so never gave Jason Mraz or Jack Johnson the chance. John hasn't put anything out in almost 3 years sooooo I've found my way to Jason and most recently Jack Johnson. Oh boy am I in love :)

I hope yall all (daddy's southern roots showing) have a good day!

Okay girls, the fates are HOWLING in laughter at me. 30 minutes of cardio because my knee is totally tweaked. I'm going to TRY to walk for 45 minutes today on the treadmill. Anyone have any suggestions for low/no impact cardio?

Sharpie - you are so right. We need to get back on this. WE can lose weight, we just have to do it. I haven't lost anything since May 15th - just gained 15, dropped 5 and now I play with the same 3-4lbs. I agree that exercise is going to be the trick. I went back and read our old posts and when we gym AND eat right we lose serious weight...so let's get to it!

Me - too lazy to get outta bed this morning so gym tonight. I think I overextended(?) my knee on Saturday so I'm just going to hit the elliptical. So yesterday I did a TON of things before noon and didn't eat so around 1pm I ended up at a buffet. I am up 4lbs from NOON yesterday. WTF/FML. I wonder how much is water? Oh and then I baked an apple pie and let's just say I didn't use any splenda...

Laura love, happy birthday!!! You've done such an excellent job, you are amazing. I showed my mom your profile this morning and she's so proud of you for losing weight AND being inspiration for others ie ME.

Me, last night was my friend's birthday and we saw the 80s cover band. I wore leggings, in public, with nothing covering my (fat) ass...  The scale is JUST under 227 and I will be hitting the gym as soon as I wake up from my nap!

Sharpie/MrsD, yall better be behaving yourselves!!!! Miss you.

Challenge - we're set for Monday and everyone will check in with cardio time in minutes by Wednesday evening/Thursday morning.

Great, on November 2nd we'll average our times and probably up it by a good 30-60 minutes! Maybe as a 2nd part of the challenge we can log EVERYTHING for 3 out of 7 days?

Made it to the gym Sun, Mon, Wed, Thurs and plans for after work. Tonight kicks off birthday season Part 2. We're going to see an 80s cover band that's actually pretty good for my  friend's birthday. Her parents are founders of the theatre SOOOO that means open bar...I'm not even going to TRY to be good :) I weighed in this morning at 227...besides tonight I'm going to be good and hopefully get that number down, down, down!

Challenge - I think we should start Monday morning, that way if anyone's short on time they can always make it up on the weekend. 210 would be 30minutes per day but I know we kick more butt than that so lets shoot for 270 minutes of cardio, Monday-Sunday. That can include walking, running, elliptical, vaccuming etc. So far Sharpie, Laura, MrsD, Debbie and me are in, if anyone else (Tannis?) wants to join just let us know. I also think we should check in M/W/F just to make sure we're on track!!! Let me know your thoughts.

Tannis, I can eat like it's cool. I'm a serious mindless eater, the best thing for me to do is not have food around. Today at work I kept looking in the fridge bc I kept forgetting that I don't have any food at the office.

Sharpie- the redskins sadden me every freaking Sunday, so it's fine. glad you've "snapped back to reality". I hope I'm eventually inspired by you to move my cardio outside...

Me -soooo effing tired. It's nothing but work, gym, school...dawn is going to be a very dull girl soon. Actually that's not true...I have three consecutive BIG birthday weekends starting Friday...party every day :)

Challenge - I like the idea of getting X minutes of cardio per week. Should we check in somehow? Do Sunday-Sunday?

Sharpie - welcome back lovie. I ran a mile last night...still too close to 11 minutes...boo! When will my stamina come back?!?! 5 HARD days in a row used to work so I figure I might as well give it a go again! Glad you had fun in Vegas and again, soo jealous!

Laura - totally hot. I'm lovin it! If I can lose I'll be happy but the next 3 weekends are BIG birthday weekends for my girlfriends...

MrsD - you sound like my mom, I have no idea what I'd do without her.Let's keep the workouts up, I feel like I'm less bloated. Have you checked out craigslist for a new machine? Sometimes people post reasonable stuff on there...

Me - I had a great AM workout but ate poorly. Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit cleaner. This morning at the gym there was a total hotty mcnaughty on the treadmill in front of me, I stared at his butt the whole time :)

Exercise challenge - something like 225 minutes of cardio for every 7 days? IDEAS?!?!?!

MrsD - let's DO IT! Monster workouts, everday. We will not be defeated.

Me - hit the gym this morning, 35 minues of cardio and 15 of lifting. I have a lunch date at the dreaded Ruth's Chris, the gameplan is the Ahi salad...surely I can accomplish that...

Redskins - my boss just put it perfectly. He's GLAD they loss yesterday so they can see that we have a SERIOUS problem...sometimes you gotta hit ROCK bottom to better yourself!

Laura, I hope you had a FANTABULOUS party! I don't know if 5 days in a row is the secret but I figure it's not going to hurt anything!

MrsD - I rely on you for foodporn...it makes me feel so...good :)

Me - I wasn't terribly bad this weekend but I definitely could have been better. I got a few compliments at church today that made me want to keep on keepin' on. I figure if I get back to the "monster" workouts the weight won't have any choice but to come off. I also think I need to lay off the scale. Instead of every single morning, maybe twice a week?
