Weight Loss How does your diet survive a tough day at work? Oct 15 2008

OK call me a big ol' nerd but.... I keep a Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Luna Bar in my desk at work at ALL times. After a bad day I grab it on my way out the door and throw in my ABBA greatest hits CD and sing all the way home at the top of my lungs and chow on my "treat" I'm sure I look like a lunatic but, I always feel better by the time I get to my daughter's school. I fell sooo silly by the time I get there it's kindof hard to remember what was so"devastating" that day.

Very funny to stumble upon a WW Flour thread tonight. I just made my family homeade pizza with WW Flour instead of all white flour in the dough. Not a complaint in the house, and these are some seriously picky kids, husband included. It was really nice. My youngest liked the "sweet crust" This gives me confidence to do "swapouts" more frequently.

Taco Doritos are still here in the US. They rock and my "evil" (JK)  hubby eats them in bed at night when we are watching TV, I can smell them and it's sooooo hard not to attack the bag.

LOL that is so Old School. Laughing I totally remember those. My brother was just in town and we went grocery shopping together and he grabbed a box of "Oh's" cereal we ate this all the time when we were kids. I know it's not mini donuts but is really sweet and crunchy.

If you like a little "kick" to your marinade add 2-3 Tb. of Franks Red Hot to the mix. Is reallllyyyy  yummy and not too spicy at all. Just kindof switches things up a little bit.

Miss Betsy, So sorry you feel that way. It is a great product alternative though. Nothing can duplicate a "real" product of course, but this one is pretty close. I've not tried the PB2 but will have to search it out perhaps.

OK I am a peanutbutter freak and found a product the "Hungry Girl" website recommended. ( SUPER site btw ) It is called Better'n Peanut Butter 2G fat and 100 calories per serving (2 Tb) It is so yummy. I have Kashi Honey Oat waffles with this stuff and a banana sliced on top with a little drizzle of honey for breakfast quite often. This stuff is hard to find in stores but the website does direct you to where to find it in your area as well as purchasing on line. I did find it at my local Super Target. This is the best stuff ever, I did a happy dance as soon as I tried it, was very skeptical that it could be good without all the fat but, I was pleasantly surprised. It is slightly thicker than regular stuff and it also comes in a chocolate flavor (have not tried this one yet) So hope this helps enjoy !!

pennosh, I could not imagine the self control you must have to only check that scale once a week. Bravo. I am so OCD I am on it 2 X a day. I think it really keeps me on track though. If I see a number bigger than the day before I am able to say "Oh yah those chips last night were a bad idea" and then vow to have a good day today and move on. Happy Anniversary, have some cheesecake for all of us Laughing

Good Morning all !! Late joiner here. I've read a lot of different groups and never laughed so hard as when I read this one. You are my kindof peoples. I think I can count ROTFL as a couple of sit-ups right?? It has been a good week for me and hope to continue doing so. I even resisted the "breakfast dinner" my hubby and kiddos requested last night, bacon, eggs, hash browns, etc... , and went for a wrap instead. Was completely satisfying and I felt even better about myself after instead of the guilt that leads to a slippery slope in my diet history if I would have chowed along with them. I am 5 ft 3 and currently 212 lbs. I started CC about a month ago at 230 lbs and have loved it. I first had a goal to get down to 145 but felt pressured to be in that little "box" of the ideal weight that "they" whoever they are, say I should be. After reading all of your responses I feel a lot more comfortable with my 145 goal. So thanks for the support and hope to chat with you all soon.

Thank you all for all the info. I have not been hungry at all. In fact it took a while to balance my days out so that it was not 9 PM and only 800-900 calories in. All is cool in that department. I do eat what I want when I want, it's just sometimes one glorious bite of something just to satisfy the crave. One greasy bite of cheesy pizza is surprisingly better than ever after a month of being a "good girl".Innocent I just wanted to see if I could be doing anything more to help this go away quicker. I guess patience is needed, not my strongest virtue. Thanks all , any other info or replies would be great or buddies to stay on track with.
