This reminds me of Subway. The have a new "Nine Grain Wheat Bread," so people see that and think it is super healthy now. But it actually has about the same nutritional value as the old wheat or even the white. They just threw in a couple extra grains, but it's not "whole" wheat or actually that great for you. And it tastes exactly the same. It's all about labeling I guess...

I second the cute dresses, every girl needs a LBD, and as you get smaller you can just accessorize with belts and sashes. I also have plenty of comfortable, cotton skirts, you can wear even when you're feeling fat and not have to look at your thighs!

Okay, I have IBS and this has never happened to me. I will get really bad cramps and be very irregular, especially on my period, but never as bad as you say.

Usually the worst I feel is when I eat something that upsets my stomach, coffee is my kryptonite. But what is going on with you sounds much more serious and annoying. I'd definitely talk to your doctor.

This happens to me too. But from all my reading it's actually a really good thing. Making sure to eat breakfast within an hour of waking up gets your metabolism working for the rest of the day. If you don't it starts to slow down to conserve because it hasn't gotten any nutrients since the day before. So you may eat more throughout the day but you are probably burning more too because you are keeping your metabolism revved up and working.

Everytime I see it I just want to tell the guy that he is going aganist his morals by allowing himself to eat that bun, lettuce, tomato and onions - how dare he!

Actually, I think the point of the burger is there ARE no veggies on it, just the meat, even more disgusting...

I used to have this problem, I think it was from my feet sliding forward and my toes pressing against the front lip of the foot pads. I just make sure to slide my feet back once in awhile.

Young Calorie Counters College Students, what did you eat today? Sep 04 2008

breakfast: 3 eggs (only one yolk though) and a yoplait light yogurt

lunch: protein shake and a banana

dinner: spaghetti w/Prego and roasted chicken breast added

snack: an orange and cheesecake!

still w/my cheesecake I'm only around 1400 calories!

When I was living in the dorms I just invested in my own cereal and milk because most of the breakfast food they serve is awful for you. Luckily my school has an amazing rec center for students.

Oh, I love Macs too, I had a Macbook and adored it. But it just recently broke down and I had to buy a new computer and Macs are just too expensive for me right now. My Compaq is okay, but I miss my Mac so much!!! I HATE Windows Vista!

So school is starting back up and I was wondering what your guys' routines were. I'm really going to try to schedule my days making sure I get a workout in at least 5 days, alternating strength and cardio. But it's always so hard for me to make time. I know I should do it in the morning, but I can never seem to make myself get up? What do you all do?

Foods flavored coffee cals? Aug 29 2008

I saw this post and PRAYED there were no extra calories in the flavored coffee beans. I live by my chocolate macadamia coffee. I shop at WinCo and they have a huge thing of all different flavored beans that you can ground yourself, yum. I love this stuff! It's like a little snack for me.

All I know is that when I was younger I never ate breakfast before going to school and I got up to 210 pounds. Now that I'm eating something every morning, even just a Luna bar I'm losing weight. It gets your metabolism working like everyone else said.

Yeah I lived in London for 3 months and it was so hard, I'm just used to there being tons of variety and choices for all my food. And there are the few things I love that I couldn't find anywhere: Diet Mt. Dew and Baked Cheddar Sour Cream Ruffles, it was torture!!!

But hey, I was living in London so it was worth it!

slr101: That would be around 335 calories, I recomend the pepperjack cheese, yum, so good and it really makes your sandwich more flavorful. My only problem is the veggies aren't as filling as the meat ones, I'm always hungry again an hour or two later.

thermal: I really don't think the Southwest Sauce is the lowest fat and cals, it's basically mayo w/flavoring, that's why it tastes so good...Stay away from it or ask them only to put one line of it on your sandwich. It's 96 calories vs. 3 for the mustard.

Honey Mustard is 30 cals

Sweet Onion Sauce is 40

Ranch is 15(that doesn't seem right, but it's what CC says...)

Mayo is 110

Light Mayo is 50

Hope this helps, I always feel so bad for people coming to Subway and thinking they are getting something really healthy, you have to know what you are putting on your sandwich!

The Chipotle Southwest Sauce (all one word) is the best tasting imo, but second worst for you after the regular mayo.

The Red Wine Vinegarette is okay I think, a lot of stores don't have it anymore, just the Red Wine Vinegar and Olive Oil, which there's really nothing in the vinegar so can't imagine it would be bad for you. I never get it though, blah, tastes funny.

Hey, I'm 22, going into my last couple terms in English and writing, I work for the school newspaper and Subway and other extra-curriculars. I always use how busy I am as an excuse to not go to the gym or eat bad. The: "I've had a long hard day I deserve to eat the entire cheesecake." lol

I'm looking to lose around 35 pounds by May. I've alread lost 4 since I started CC on the 12th, so I'm feeling pretty good, but school has yet to start....

I work at Subway and I find that they are my highest calorie days. The sandwich calorie they show doesn't take into account any of the condiments or cheese and assumes you are getting all the veggies.

The only way I find to have a really healthy sandwich is with no cheese, no sauce except yellow mustard or deli mustard, all the others may be fat free but are very high in calories, especially the sweet onion sauce, it is SO sweet and full of sugar.

Obviously they are a LOT better than your average McDonalds or Burger King, but don't think that since you're going to Subway it's automatically healthy. ONLY the sandwiches on the 6 Grams of Fat or below menu are truly very good for you. And the Tuna, one of the worst, we put in SO much mayo it's disgusting.

Your best bet is a veggie with one slice of cheese and deli mustard, that's what I usually get, and pepperjack and American are a lot lower calorie than the cheddar.

Hope this helps!

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Liv Tyler. They are real looking and beautiful and healthy. Some of the women mentioned disgust me, Nicole Richie, Angeline Jolie...they are so sickly skinny I want to shove a burger down their throats! Did you even see Wanted with Angelina? I thought her arms was going to break every time she punched poor James McAvoy!

I've been on a taco kick recently. I just buy a package of Foster Farms ground lean turkey. A little packet of taco seasoning, make the turkey per the directions on the package. Then I just add the meat to a tortilla, I've been using plain flour ones, but I'm sure I could be doing much healthier one, wheat or carb controlled...

Then I add fresh salsa, baby leaf mix lettuce, chopped tomatoes, a little sour cream and a little cheese of your choice. SO good and very filling and healthy, only around 360 calories.

This is my problem, most of the times I buy things like chips and salsa, cereal, and yogurt that I know I will eat for a snack. Maybe I should plan out things. Once school starts up I'm going to be on the go, away from my house a lot more, that's when i do the luna bars, tasty and filling and SO good for you.

I'm getting the same thing! I never knew there was so much sodium in everything! I'm going to really try to cut down, I was just reading that it's sodium that increases water retention and all that, I'm really trying to flush all that crap out of my body now!

Hey! So I'm 22, 5'9" 190 lbs. I'm hoping to get down to 150 by May 30.

Can't wait to weigh in on the 22nd, I've been working really hard to not snack too much, which I always do when I'm bored, and to get in a least 20 minutes exercise in.

Good luck to us all!

Haha, I want friends too! I'm 22, looking to lose around 40lbs. I've actually been losing weight since college, all the walking around and being able to eat what I choose, (my parents don't believe in low-fat, think mashed potatoes and gravy and fried steak at least twice a week)

But fall of last year I studied abroad and gained some weight, then I've gotten a boyfriend recently and I'm spending all my free time w/him instead of working out!

I went from about 210 to 175 between my sophomore year and the start of my senior year. In the last year or so I've gain about 15 of it back.

Hey, I'm pretty new too. I love the calorie counter tool too. I'm so excited to get home after work and enter all my calories for the day!

I've developed a new passion for workout dvds too! I've been doing a pilates one lately, it came with a rubber band and everything for cool strength exercises! I also love to play ddr, sometimes I'll play for like 2hours straight! My main thing now is that I need to do more cardio though and it's really hard because it's been so hot here, I'm afraid to go outside!
