The Lounge Average bra size? Aug 27 2008

Just my 2cents...I wear a 32DDD/E, it is miserable trying to find anything remotely comfortable, and you can forget pretty.  I've given up and resigned myself to a lifetime of the steel belted double radial bras.  Also, I don't get the whole idea that a 34D/32DD/30E is the same thing.  I've tried that in an attempt to find bras at all, you know, maybe this 20.00 36C will fit the bill instead of having to drive to the mall and drop 60.00 on a 32DDD.  No go...if the band is over a 32 it slides up all day, and other things conversely slide down.  And any C or D cup, I don't care what the band size, is too small.  Maybe other ppl have more accomidating bodies than mine, but that's been my experience.

Kate...who would love to have a reduction so she can have conversation with ppl eye to eye instead of eye to boob.

Weight Loss Find your CC Twin...Part 2 Aug 27 2008

Hey beansmommy,

Our stats are really close...I'd really like a CC friend.  I'm sort of teetering with my diet.  We have a vacation coming up, and I'd love to lose 10 lbs, but it seems hopeless.  Amazing how easy it was to lose weight when I was 25, oh, how you don't appreciate such things at that age, lol.

So what are some of your tricks, or motovational techniques?  Needing all the help I can get these days!

Weight Loss looking down at some foods Aug 15 2008

I have to agree with inkblue.  Some foods are just addictive, for me it was Doritos.  I used to buy a bag, yes the full size, and a pound of sour cream.  Then I'd sit down for a couple hours of tv, and dip and munch away until bed.  Talk about nuts.  I love all salty, spicy, starchy things.  And all dairy.  I made myself sick off of that routine once though, and have never touched Doritos again.  Lousy way to break a bad habit, wouldn't you say, lol.  I also can't do the weekend reward thing, it just bleeds over into the rest of the week.  I guess I'm an all or nothing kinda girl...now if I could just give up the coffee.....

Weight Loss Any1 else being called Anorexic & getting negative remarks? Aug 14 2008

Mary004,

Anytime I try to lose weight, and heaven help me if I start to succeed, my MIL always freaks out and says I'm anorexic.  She is never mean about it, just seems panicked, however, I really think it has more to do with her diffuculty losing weight.  Most of her girls (4), are tall and larger framed than I am, so she also compares me to them.  I think that your weight goal, and your calorie consumption is very healthy.  Don't let other ppl influence you, or get too much under your skin.  Often, however well meaning they may be, they project their own fears or issues onto you and your experiences.  If you really want to try to get them to be quiet, quote your BMI (which seems like it would be fine, since mine says that at 5'7" I could go down to 118 before being "anorexic"), or better yet, see your Dr. and ask him/her...then tell them she/he said your good to go (as I'm sure they will).  These are the "experts", not the lay ppl around you trying to mash you into whatever preconcieved portrait of you that they have.

Congrats and keep up the good work:)
