interestingly enough there's an episode of FRIENDS on right now Amy: She's gotten fat by the way Rachel [her sister]: hips or stomach? Rachel: but I thought she was on Atkins!?
basically your body will eventually end up craving the nutrients you need until you start eating the carbs again which will probably trigger a binge phase :P sorry about the random dialogue i just found it entertaining |

14 5''2 105 goal: maintain, tone up, maybe gain another 5lbs or so (not skinny but my face looks kinda hollow sometimes) looking to tone up my legs for dance :) [only on this site because I used to be about 30 lbs heavier and my doc. prescribed calorie-counting etc, and then lost too much and gained it back so just looking to maintain] NOTE-->
edit to add--> i have friends who are 4'10 and 95 lbs and they are still VERY petite looking, so plesae don't damage your health :| |

at the moment I'm 5''2 and 103 with similar waist-hip measurements, and after my annual physical my doctor says my measurements are fine, so as long as you eat [reasonably] healthy dont worry |

honestly, i'm pretty lucky i'm vegetarian, AND lactose/ovo- intolerant. Almost any dessert has either dairy or eggs ;) (except vegan ones of course) but i either stick to - no thanks i have a big family dinner tonight - just plain no thank you, or add that you're feeling slightly nauseas but ALWAYS compliment the person who brought the dessert in and be geniunely apologetic or just say you're more of a savory than sweet tooth person |

liney_line: I eat anywhere from 1600-2200 a day it varies, and by an hour of exercise i mean either gym class or since my parents put in a pool in June i swim a lot (mainly for the fun of it)

I'm a week into my first year of high school and i'm doing pretty well (over a year since i first joined this forum topic) but i have NO idea what i should be eating current stats: 14 years old not intending on losing any, but i like to be active so I get some form of exercise for at least an hour a day what would (on average) someone with my stats be eating to maintain? would I be eating more or less (has my metabolism slowed down?) |

1) chewing sugar free gum 2) make crystal light or another juice substitute with less than 20 calories per litre-- drinking it fills you up FAST 3) chew on celery or small serving of air-popped popcorn 4) some kind of hot liquid-- vegetable soup or tea works well (flavoured teas with no sugar added) 5) frozen fruit -- anything you can just suck on without eating a ton

evolution_revolution and anyone else with hair issues: before my hair fell out all the time, and i lost about 75% of it, so i cut it short. It hasn't grown back COMPLETELY but a lot of it has -- your hair wont fall out 100% but tips are cutting it shorter to let it grow out and what worked really well for me is massaging coconut oil into my scalp (indian trick) about once a week before i washed my hair. (stimulates growth of the hair)

agruskin hi! remember me? Good to see that you're still here giving people advice I recovered long, long ago and i haven't even glanced at this site in months, but i'm guessing most of the people from before are gone? anyways, i've long LONG ago recovered and am just back looking to gain another 5 lbs or so (108 currently) of muscle to tone up for dance, (most of my peers are going the other way trying to lose weight but last time i did that i ended up with little or no muscle) this is what i eat in a day (maintaining) B- yogurt or milk with cereal and fruit -- s- apple with peanut butter l- some kind of salad with chickpeas, lentils, etc with bread and some kind of fat s- varies grandparents visiting so my grandmothers bake a LOT d- some indian ethnic dish, usually curries or lentil soup, but extreme variety s- fruit, yogurt, or some other baked good ;) and every day i swim laps and some days i jog |

wow clay 6000th post ;) we're eally flying here agru thank you!!! i thought 110 was enough because my orignal weight was 105 but the second i hit 115 it came bk.. so maybe you're right :) gibbet parental problems still going, GUY problems have emerged and are.. interesting.. but no more food problems, i think i maintain on 2200-ish sedentary so thas okay =) hopefully i'll grow taller so metabolism'll speed up a bit. i'll admit bieng of my ethnicity the weight tends to pile on your thighs etc but i can tone up rather than lose weight, i'm just so happy that i know i'm back to normal. Has anyone else gotten theirs back recently? how are kiki and dolly and all the other oldschool members?? Been dealing witha tmountain of stress because i discovered someone clsoe to me smokes pot. They clame its "very casual" but being my paranoid little kid self i'm still being a spazz :|

cut my hair supershort and i DONATED ITTT :D got new glasses too so when i go back to school tmrw i'll be.. really different looking, but my parents think i look good (but they're my parents so.. hard to say ^^) i baked peanut butter cookies =) they were amazingg! and pretty healthy too (note i didn't say low cal low fat, they're pretty high in both :) ) but I used healthy oils, natural sugars and stuff so its all goodd and i told my friend about my hairloss and withotu fail she sent me an email titled oml i love her here's some ideas for you guys oil massages zinc tablets carrot juice cutting it short no chemical treatment get lots of layers, gives your hair a TON of volume wash it only twice a week thrice maximum, use shower cap other days avoid swimming frequently in chlorine water eat foods high in iron, zinc, vitamins E and A
if you need more lemme know =) + a good shampoo is Aussie (the purple bottled stuff) and the shampoo and conditioner called "cleanse and mend" it repairs your damaged roots for new hair to grow back.

hello ladiess =) (and if there are guys here who joined in my absence ;) ) I washed my hair, a ton more fell out, i have to cut it below should length (cutting two feet of it) for it to look like i have hair at all
but for SOME reason i woke up today feeling hopeful. Like thsi may sound corny but I actually thought "maybe there's hope, it won't all be crappy" Hope you all had happy holidays, I visited family, family politics suck but lets not get into details. I told my aunt everything-every detail and she said I could call her whenever I wanted so that helps. shes been an amazing support-- She even stopped me from using applesauce to make peanutbutter chocolate xmas cookies instead of using veggie oils [its a mechanical thing] and I appreciate that incredibly. Here's hoping that we all recover, I think I'm okay weight-wise --> BMI about 19.5 and I feel fat but not going to lose any of it, waiting till I grow taller. Started exercizing again but its 20 minutes on a treadmill a couple times a week at the lowest incline so really not very stresing and I eat more than I burn off, 2000-3000 varies greatly. [its hard to be consistent because theres literally NO food in the house bc we jsut got home, going grocery shopping today) My friend said that she eats everything in sight altely and her wieght won't go above 99 pounds so I guess that's her plateau healthy weight, (shes 5''2-5''3, 13 years old)

okie well i think i'm near recovered... this is a faily menu b- vegetable curry,applesauce, oatmealw w/ milk s- banana l- 1/2 large butter croissant, lasanga alfredo, a bunch of indian butter sweets s- two **** bars d- two hot chocolate, yogurt parfait w/ extra granola, and mixed berries, massive NYC pretzel, and small slice of pizza s- glass of milk with strawberry syrup, big bowl of leftover chow mein (im talking massive)
but still hair falling :( happy holidays all |

yeah relena i remember oyu :) ughh hair sitll falling, docotr says i'll be compeltley bald in a week or so, extremely upsetting ont eh plus side im eating consistently and have gained a total of 17 lbs from my lowest, but mother still makes harshest commetns possible whenever she can... just making a quick post so you all know im hanging in there :) well so far at 1900, then gonna eat dinner then band performance and a night of homework and snacking, idc if im like CHUBBY after this, im not letting my family see me like this |

arghhh BRACES :| yesterday i ate 3000 calories worht of apple sauce, ice cream, milk, yogurt, raspberries, oatmeal, bananas, and squishy pancakes -_- its really hard though.. B- massive bowl of oatmeal, added brown sugar, pb, cinnamon, nutmeg, raisins (weird combo but its good) s- big bowl of raspberries in WM yogurt [ignoring hte stomach aches] l- other squishy foods -_- im gonna continue eating high but - i look fat - my hairs still falling - im frustrated |

hey guys!! i WILL post a superlong update TOMORRROW becaue im getting braces and staying home fm school but apparently this really decreases your apetite and i can't eat hard foods for 2 weeks (because of extractions and some other things, i ahve uncommonly crooked back teeth). so, i need tons of yummy recipies from you guys :) and ANY soft food suggestions are appreciate, or should i just go for those Boost or Ensure drinks?? |

aqua youre right, in a way, before this thread i knew so little about how food actually works and why we need it to be healthy, and it that sense, it saved me. but i just don't want to make it the centre of mylife, and i just hate looking in the YCC forums at girlsw ho think NOW IS THE time to lose weight when they should wait for puberty to finish so their bodies can do it naturally. |
