| Young Calorie Counters | Weight Gain :( | May 16 2009 19:10 (UTC) |

I don't think I can tell you much more then the obvious, so I may not be a help. Eat more often. Like 6 meals a day. Get lots of protein into you and eat whole grain breads (their healthy and get burnt clearer). Also my brothers go to the gym a lot and are extremely into body building. They constantly are burning tons of calories but they still want to gain weight so they drink LOTS of protein shakes. I don't recommend lots, but have a few a day. Also, if you feel it's something other than your age and genetics get some blood tested. I hope this helped. Best of luck. Amanda. |

Hello sourapple, we still have room :). I added everyone as well. Saturdays work well for me. So as of today I weigh 125.6, which means I've gained a pound. I'm 5'9, and I want to get down to 117. That's only 8.5 pounds, but it sure takes a while to get there for me. The thing is my body naturally goes down to 120 when I eat the proper amount of healthy foods. I don't cut calories I cut bad foods. I'm not sure what my measurments are. Just the only problem is staying on track. My struggle is I eat way to much when I'm down. Something like the number on the scale that went up today could send me to the cookie jar if I'm feeling fragile. Bee, it's hard not to get persuaded when you're on a diet. Especially with starbucks food! Neffly had good advice, the only thing I could add would be eat before you go out with your pals. When you're around junk food on a full stomach then you won't be so tempted to eat it. I find just a salad can make a world of difference. Neffly, at least you're going to the fruit platter first now. Do you babysit a lot? Maybe you could just bring some healthy snack that you can rip into when the kid's asleep (I suggest something like raw chocolate cake! I'm kind of a raw food enthusiast so I might mention from time to time the wonders it has on health). I'm not sure that's much of a help, but the good news is you're already making small changes that will add up in a big way :)

| Weight Loss | Hungry? I wonder if that is such a bad thing. | May 15 2009 22:00 (UTC) |

When we're hungry are body is telling us to eat. So diets try to avoid hunger so that you're less likely to break and binge. When you're hungry and you break you don't just stop with one cookie. Also, I used to have an eating disorder and whenever I was hungry I would associate that to success. I loved the feeling of hunger, and I got lost in that pit. So I think it's important to side step it before you fall in that pit. |

I'm glad this is working out :). We should probably choose a day that we all can weigh in on, like a Friday or Saturday. I was thinking that the reason so many groups fall apart may have something to with the fact that there's nothing to write about. They write their stats in the beginning and make a commitment to weigh in every weekend, and then they just get bored and flake out. So since this is somewhat of a support group we should probably make sure to write about our struggles and anything else on our minds. I hope I'm not coming off as some tyrant Peace. |

Yay! I was unsure if anybody would join, considering there's a different group every two minutes. So feel free to add me on your friends list and e-mail whenever you would like. I wonder how many other people will join... |

I personally don't believe it. To me its the same for every body type, be it pear, apple, or noodle it really shouldn't make a difference. But I did hear on T.V that if your apple shaped that means you have a good heart. So good news for you if that one is true. |

| The Lounge | Tattoo Barbie - what's your take? | Mar 10 2009 02:59 (UTC) |

Barbie’s piss me off. Period. That’s' the idea of beauty? People say they don't effect kids but look at woman today. That’s the idea of what most woman want. They might not think Barbie, but look at the amount of cosmetic surgeries that is done each year trying to get pretty much that same body. But I don't think that the tattoo will effect kids to much though, reality is they probably won't even notice. I once read some study about how the average woman would have to loose a crazy amount of inches on the waist and gain an even more insane amount of inches on the bust (and blah blah blah). Bottom line is it was this completely unattainable proportions. |

I used this herbal cleanse from the health food store in the spring of last year. It came with the colon cleansing formula and the multi systems cleansing formula. It was pretty straight forward ingredients, all very natural. It was supposed to restore and rejuvenate the cleaning and detoxifying systems in the body. Bottom line I felt great afterward and I did loose weight (though that wasn't my point of using it). Hope this helps! |

It's ironic. Most of us are vegetarians for the animals sake. But we can't be decent to eachother. We're not on opposite sides, we're all fighting for the same cause. |

LOVE YOUR BODY. I meant it. You are not crazy I used to feel that way because I am also small framed and small chested. If you are loosing weight so that other people can think your beautiful then you will NEVER win. If it's for yourself then, I say, change your perspective. Besides, you're a female! You're supposed to have a belly, you need a layer of fat on your belly to protect your reproductive organs. We are the ones that have children, we carry our babies in our tummy. Love it. |

loseweight1234 said a lot of good ideas, pretty much everything that will stop you from binging is on that list. So since you eat when you're stressed the only real solution is to find something that de-stresses yourself. Here's some ideas: 1. Putting a face mask on works for me. That way it's almost physically impossible to binge. And it will make you're skin look fabulous. 2. Calling a friend. You'll laugh and be less stressed. 3. A nice bath with essential oils, candles, flower pedals, and even some music. Do whatever it is that relaxes you. And as much as you don't feel like it exercise, it's guaranteed to make you feel better. Yea endorphins :) |

I love exercising I can't see how people can't. I mean doesn't it give you those endorphins that make it like impossible not to enjoy it? Long distance running almost every day I really want to learn how to do belly dancing so I’m going to find a good DVD to do at home. I would really like to do some more arm strengthening exercises. I have to do some community sports for P.E so that will help me out. |

I admire her so much. She's really going on there for a reason larger than herself. I think she's a really neat person, I hope she wins. *Fingers Crossed* Wouldn't it be so great if she won and then she was like no thanks to Cover Girl? I would love that. Or maybe she some how negotiated Cover Girl to smarten up. Ideal, but not realistic sadly enough. when_i_fly_and_look_down, this is cycle 11 I believe. It started September 3rd. |

Original Post by direwolf689: Oh, I would love to be a pin up model. I don't/ won't ever have the big boobs or a big enough but. And I probably wouldn't be pretty enough anyways. I just admire pin up models so much, they celebrate femininity in such a beautiful way. |
