Young Calorie Counters How do you make your boobs smaller. Jan 20 2009

I wouldn't recommend you do this on a regular basis because it could be damaging but sometimes, if im wearing a dress this would look better on a flat chested person, i wrap my boobies with saran wrap. I expand my chest the widest it can go and then wrap it so that i will be able to breath the rest of the day. Its not the best thing in the world because 1) it gets really hot under there and 2) when you move, it sounds like your smuggling grocery bags :P But of course i only do this when i have no other choice.

Fitness Thinking of taking up a spring sport....help please? Jan 20 2009

All of these sports are going to be fun once you learn the skills to be good in them. Its up to you..what do you want to be good at? Think about a sport you'd like to do even after spring is over, something you'd truly be proud that you were a part of. If it comes down to more then one sport then choose the one that has better people in it (personality wise).

My personal favorites are volleyball and badminton

O.K, I usually have 1 packet of Weight Control Quaker Maple Syrup and Brown Sugar with hot water and 1 apple or 1 banana for breakfast. And my lunch and dinner would be compatively bigger than this. But since I keep hearing that breakfast should be the biggest meal of the day, lunch half of breakfast and dinner half of lunch, I decided to reverse the order of things and had for breakfast what I usually have for dinner.

1) 1/2 cup of chopped onions

2) 1 medium sized tomato

3) 3-4 Green chillies

4) 1/2 cup of frozen mixed vegetables (green peas, corn, carrorts & green beans)

5) 1/2 cup of frozen green peas

6) 1/4 cup of cooked medium grained brown rice

I took 1.5 tsp of Canola oil in a skillet, and cooked all the above with some water and a pinch of salt. And it was yummy.....And for dinner I am planning on having what I usually have for breakfast - 1 packet of Weight Control Quaker Maple Syrup and Brown Sugar with hot water and 1 apple or 1 banana.

Any suggestions on whether this is a good idea? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

I have two that are kick'n around in my head right now;

"YOU ATE A BABY" and "WHAT'S THAT DOG SAY'N"

When my mom was pregnant with her youngest, she also had a 2 1/2 year old. One day they had a conversation (I was there to witness) that went something like this;

2 1/2 year old: Mamma, why is your belly so fat?

Mom: My belly is not fat sweety, there's a baby in it.

2 1/2 year old, with a look of complete horror on his face: "YOU ATE A BABY?!"

My mom actually had this story published in Reader's Digest and was sent a check for $500.

And another one; Me, my dad, and 3 year old brother were watching Mary Poppins. In one scene, Mary Poppins iS listening to a barking dog...as if her and the dog are in conversation. My 3 year old brother, with frustration on his face glances at my dad and asks, "what's that dog saying dad?". My dad and I were in stitches. My dad couldn't disappoint him by telling him he didn't speak dog...or rather, he was laughing too hard to break it to him.

looool i have one simlilar to that.

My mother and my little sister While looking at old photo's:
*points at a picture while my mom was pregnant*
"why is your tummy so BIG?"
"I was pregnant with you. You were in there"
*little sister begins to cry*
"WHY'D YOU EAT ME?! YOU DON'T LOVE ME??"

Maybe Marco's Pizza is like Sbarro? If it is then its because they cut the entire pizza into four slices instead of eight making each "slice" two slices of normal pizza.

The Lounge How do you prevent "bulge" or "spill-over"from tights/panty hose? Dec 30 2008
11:06 (UTC)

I wear tights almost everyday of the week because of my school uniform. The thing that works for me is cutting 3/4 of the elastic band in random areas. That way, you'll have something that'll hold the tights up but there won't be any bulge. This takes practice so i advise you to try it on really cheap brands first and then use your normal ones.

I take two Tylonol PM's and i usually sleep 8 hours or more. Maybe it has that effect on some people. I thought it was only me until some of my friends said the same thing. Also, keep in mind that i don't have insomnia and that i don't take them that often so my body is probably not used to functioning with them in my system.

Maybe your going to bed right after eating? If your eating half an hour before going to bed then maybe that's whats keeping you up.
For one, most foods are stimulant so they give you energy which is not used up by bed time. Also, i noticed that if i go to sleep right after eating i wake up STARVING, but if i go to sleep two hours after my last snack i wake up content. Actually, i even use an hour for exercise before breakfast.
One thing my freind pointed out to me was that even if you don't sleep at night, you'll still function normally during the day. Don't take sleeping pills because they leave you with a "sleeping pill hangover" which make your nights andd your days miserable.
If you can't fall asleep, then get up and do something beneficial. Sometimes I'm awake until the next day and end up going to school without any sleep, but i still feel like i can function normally. Of course, by the time i get home i fall on the bad like an old rag but at least i get my sleep eventually. Try it and see how you feel.

Young Calorie Counters At what time did you start to notice your weight? Oct 05 2008

Original Post by palipride47:

I noticed it when my family (who are Arab and puts lots of emphasis on weight) started telling me that I needed to lose weight in order to be pretty and be attractive to a man (They told me this at age 11).

They (my aunt and my grandfather whom I live with) put me on a really strict diet and I dropped 30 pounds, but grew to resent them and started binge eating on sweets to piss them off (like I would eat 10 Little Debbie's at once or a half gallon of ice cream).

Now I'm 180 and can't control my bingeing. It's funny because when I was little, my mom and dad was poor so I went hungry alot (like days without food, and I used to eat the most). My family used to say I was beautiful back then. They started calling me fat when I was 8 (when I got put in foster care and started getting regular meals), and I've never felt beautiful since. My family ties my beauty to my weight so I've never heard them call me pretty or anything else but fat. They also make fun of me behind my back, talking about my weight to their friends and other relatives. And they wonder why I despise them.

(Isn't it just fantastic that I actually had to starve to fit my family's definition of beautiful Tongue out. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way)

I'm arab too, its crazy how obsessed they are with weight. After a big family gathering the first thing they talk about who had gained and lost. Most of my aunts openly talk about how they only eat on the weekends :S

Young Calorie Counters Opinions on High School?? Oct 02 2008

High school is great. There's not as much childish drama as middle school because everyone is chill with everyone else. Just make sure you choose the right people to hang out with and make sure they are the people you want to hang out with and not the people you think you should hang out with, i wasted most of my highschool years on people i could barely stand and i regret it so badly :S

Young Calorie Counters At what time did you start to notice your weight? Oct 02 2008

Nothing made me "notice it" becase i was fat all my life, but i know the exact moment i found out how easy it was to lose weight. I was home alone and i was doing my homework and my tummy started grumbling but i didin't want to go downstairs until i was completly finished because i get easily sidetracked, when i finished i went downstairs and opened the fridge and saw some leftover pie my mom had left for me, and right next to eat were some grapes, chose the grapes and went back upstairs. :D yay

Young Calorie Counters Anyone here go to boarding school? Oct 01 2008
23:44 (UTC)

I don't go to boarding school but i suggest you avoid ready-made sandwichs at all costs, you never know what might be hiding in there. Stick with mostly raw fruits and vege's, atleast you'll know that nothing has been added to them and you'll know the exact calorie count. Also i don't know what rules you guys have but try making your own sandwiches to get some carbs. Also if they have nuts or lentils you can get your protein from there.

hope it helps :)

Omg warm french bread is the worstt! whenever my mom comes home with some i practicly run and jam in the freeze to prevent me from eating it. but then my mom gets angry cuz she says she got the warm one on purpose so we could enjoy it fresh, so i give her an innocent face and say i was only trying to help perserve the freshnessssFrown.

hah works everytime Wink

But ya i feel the only problem with white bread is that it never gets me full, i could eat an entire loaf of white toast and still have room for more, plus white bread makes me more bloated then soda so i try to avoid it as much as possible, but i don't think it interfers with your wieght loss at all
