hello everyone!

so i don't think I did a bad job yesterday, but i definitely could have done better.  On the plus side, today has been going very well eating wise and I really think today will be the day where I actually do what I have been telling myself to do for the past few months.  Ill let you all know tomorrow:)  Oh and if anyone else wants to "keep them selfs acocuntable" on this forum I think its a really good way to make sure you complete your day how you want to.  Sinse i'm going to be gone for a month it might be hard to set a weight loss goal but the main thing for summer is I want to listen to my body food wise.  I don't want to eat small random things, instead I should just sit down and have snack.  I also want to not eat until i feel gross at dinner.   I just want to eat healthy, count my cals and not deprive myself to much until I get to a weight that I feel confident at.

What are your guy's plans for the summer? (both food/exercise wise and travel/social)

hey sImone! 2 days...lucky! I actually only have this week and next so its not too too bad.

So I just wanted to type this out for everyone to see so I could hold myself accountable.  For the last few weeks I have been doing way to much mindless eating and grazing so hopefully writting it in the morning and coming back at night to tell everyone how i did will help. Ehh kinda embaressing but here it goes lol

*no dipping my spoon in the peanut butter jar  *no having huge random bites of ice cream *if you have ceral for a snack don't go back for second and thirds *drink enough water *only stick to yogurt of popsicle for dessert *stop dinner when I am not hungry, not when Im uncomfortably full

Ill be back before I go to bed:)

Oh and tiny-bee- that school cooking thing sounds seriously incredible.  Im pretty sure my school doesn't have something like that but that really sounds amazing!!!

hey everyone!

i totally think this group will last for a while because of how similar we all are.  I bet well all be able to understand each other and give good advice.  Similar to Alexa, I feel like these posts r written by me.  Oh and Im also leaning to Saturday for weigh in days cause, yet again, im the same as Neffly and have my scale in my parents room and don't like going in their room while there in there to weigh myself.

Alrighty so heres my story:

So January of 2008 I was like 152 and then by starting to watch what I was eating and exercising a lot I got down to 124 by August.  But, my doctor said that I had lost it to fast and wanted me to get up to 130.  In june I was probably not eating enough calories for how much I was working out.  So then I mainted b/t 130-135 until about decmeber.  Then I started gaining and got up to about 139 by March.  Then for about a 3 or four weeks I stopped mindless eating and got back down to 132.  Well, now im at 142 and ready to get back down and stay there.  Sorry that was so much stuff, but I think if we all share we will all get to know each other better.  Anyways, right now my goal is just 135.  If I get there I will try for 130.   Back in november I tried getting to 125 but I honestly think my body type is much better at 130 and thats what my bodies "natural" weight is.

Oh and im 5'4, 15 and will be 16 in a few months

Im also leaving for a 4 week vaca for all of July so am hoping to get back into shape by then

Tiny-bee, im also looking for more lunch ideas beacause i bring salads to school everyday and am almost getting sick of them. also its kinda of embarassing that people are starting to metion how much i bring them.  but some good lunch ideas that I like for winter are soup in a thermous because its warm, yummy and pretty lo cal.  Some other good options are hummus and pita with tomatoes and lettuce, and also salads with chicken or some protein are good as long as u mix them up enough.

SOrry for the super long post!

Oh some stuff about me-I really like art, LOVE LOVE LOVE cooking, watch a good amount of t.v. shows:), I like to run and I just played my first year of lacrosse

i used to think it was probably pretty easy and shouldn't really be a "sport" because the horse does most everything....BUT, my idea of horseback riding changed ever since one of my friends started taking lessons and now she explains/complains to me how sore in her thighs and groin muscles are after every lesson and how difficult it is.

I eat these pretty much everyday so i know my stuff:) hehe
my favorite are:
-raspberry!!!
-apple turnover
-strawberry banana
As for the light indulgent flavors, i like the raspberry cheescake and the pinapple upsidedown cake.  i think the boston cream pie is good, but i perfer fruitty flavors so i  eat thoes more often
i usually buy about 10 and just choose one to match my mood:P

Campbells Chunky chicken with vegetables is really really good and only 90 per cup, so aout 200 for the whole can-doesnt taste like a "diet" soup at all

I also really like this soup...its completely fresh tasting, super quick to make and really low in cals for something that is so good.

hey everyone!

looseymoose- i kow the whole belt thing may not seem that big of a step but it totlly is! great job on that!

Jtlb-thats great that u found a way to exercise that you enjoy a lot.  a few days ago u said u thote u couldnt focus on your goal and that 120 seemed impossible.   I think you should switch your goal to just five pounds.  Just focus on those five pounds and once you get there, you do another five pounds.  Breaking it into small increments can be very motivating/helpful!

im very excited today because i saw 132, and its keeping me motivated to get to 130, which is where i want to be at the beginning of april for a wedding(i was there a few months ago but gained about 8). The past few weeks i have done a lot better with the mindles snacking, but i still feeling uncomfortably full after dinner so i have to work on that.  any ideas?

if anyone has questions about anything ask away! Have a good weekend:)

Hey!! Im in also! Brief history-I was about 150 last dec. (07) lost to about 127 in July (08) but then the doc. thought i lost it to fast so i went up to 130.  Throughout i would say the last three months with all the holidays and friends birthdays...along with other stuff I have gotten to about 137.  I feel pretty uncomfortable in my clothes and would like to try getting back down to 130.  If I can achieve that, slowly working my way to 125 would be awsome...but we will have to see then. I think what i mainly have to work on is the mindless munching I do along with over eating at dinner.  What r ur guys challenges?  oh im 5'4'

P.s. i don't want this to sound mean but r u guys all into this group cause many times i have joined groups n many people have just stopped talking about 2 weeks into it or whatever....i have done it a few times...but if all u r in this then i promise i wont ditch out until we decide to end:)

These scones are probably the most amazing breakfast items ever! i have made them MANY times

Also for an appetizer you could do warm spinach artichoke dip in a bread bowl with small pieces of bread for dipping. You could probably find a recipe on food-network.com or another website.  Just look at the reviews to make sure people liked it!

here is a dessert that i have never made but my friend is famous for. (i just looked up the recipe online so it isn't the same one she uses but looks close) They are seriously incredibly delicious and amazingly rich.  One for me is more than enough. She says they are kind of hard work to make, but im not kidding when she brings them to school or to an event EVERYONE runs over to her

yes the lemon rose peets tea is delicous. it smells amazing! i got it a few weeks ago for the first time and burnt my nose smelling it:P i put a little bit of splenda in mine, but im sure it would be great without that as well

i will also take all these suggestions into mind because i am looking for a good tea.

I really like buying the samplers (most companies have them) you get five flavors with four packs of each...it gives variety:) I actually bought one yesterday!

I dont think my butts that big, but i still have one:P oh and i also would definitely say i have an hourglass figure like smaller waist and bigger hips.  I wear about a us 6, but that may have gone up as my weight has gotten a little higher throughout the past few months. Oh and also i used to be about 152 or something last year...so we start around the same also.  Umm as for stores, i have some that i like going to but im to to sure if they r in the u.k.  Have u ever tried using a think belt to emphisize ur waist? i think it looks cute n sometimes helps show of the curves in a good way.

Hi! So i'm only a sophmore in highschool, but have like the exact same stats as you:) Im 5'4, 130 (kind of flucuate b/t 128-132) and am looking to first get down to 125, then 120.  So i thought it would b good to be in a group with someone who is kinda in the same situation.  Oh and i usually go for about 1500 cals a day, but the past week i have definitely gone above because of holiday treats and things relating to that, but i guess today is a new start! And for the past two-three weeks i have only gone to the gym about twice all together, but now since were on break i can go as much as i want! i went yesterday and it felt so good after basically not doing anything for a while.

CW: 128.5

So this week was definitely not a good one.  Last sunday we had a cookie exchange which left us with way to many left over cookies.  I ended up taking pieces of them throughout the whole week, daily:( Also with my exams i wasn't able to do much exercise.  Two of the days this week after eating a little bit of cookies i would just kind of give up and eat a few scoops of ice cream and some cereal and more stuff. So yeah overall, not a good week.  It was weird though because i weighed myself yesterday and was 131 then today and was 128.5. I just finisehd ttom so maybe that was it.  I happy about it, but still not to happy about this week.  But, on a positive not its break and after not having exercised in almost 2 weeks i am really excited to be able to go to the gym almost every or everyother day!!

lady e- good for u that u found a plan that u can stick to, i don't know if i could do the same diet everyday, but if it works for u thats great!

hey so im new.  Im a sophomore, but i hope thats okay:) So i lost 20 pounds in the pasty year and have been maitaing-well gained like 5-since august.  im 5'4, about 130.  So im kind of trying to drop a little.  But if i start exercising a little more often and make sure i eat healthy and stuff i think they will come off.  but im really up for a group like this..sounds fun.

Motivation Have you ever been in this situation... Dec 16 2008
03:01 (UTC)

yes!! i can TOTALLY relate.  So since about this time last year i went from 150ish-127 by the beginning of July.  Then i went to a 3 week camp n got down to 124.  N e ways, i had to gain a few pounds cause the doc. thote i lost it to fast.  But i have basically been maintaining from about 129-132 for the past four or so months.  Even though I know im at a healthy weight i still want to complete my original goal and get to 120. Right now im working on just 125 as a start and i will go from there. But it is really hard w/ motivation because even though i don't freak out over what i eat, sometimes ill just b like "whatever, i'm at a healthy weight n i'm a teen n its okay if i eat more that i should today"  but then later i will start regretting that i did that just cause i knew it probably wasn't the heathiest.  oh and btw i am also 15 and i am 5'4.  Haha, sorry if that was really confusing, I just totally know what u mean and had a hard tim explaining it. lol
