yes ofcourse.... i binge a lil on everything... but my main focus is fruits n veg... like today i ended up cheating..had a bite from every dish infront of me...since there was a feast... i cudnt resist... n ended cursing myself... i feel if i become even a lil careless now.... my weight wont go down.... the rise scares me |

well ive started with 25 minutes brisk walk along with running (rite in the heat of afternoon so i sweat alot)..... drinking loadss of fluids...green tea...lemon with warm water....having an apple a day with boiled vegetables. Hope this works..it saddens me to think i have to go through that scale again... n this time will it stay or not?? oh n joan.... wow...what a nick uve got there......no doubt i find it kinda fun to call out joanarexia .. thnx for ur help babes...ur all amazing! |

well i didnt count calories during the holiday... cuz i was soo active there... walking n shopping..... i got my periods during the flight...but i doubt that adds 14lbs........its .....it cànt beeee....i cant sleep ...cant stop thinking abt it |

yes i kno but i barely am active all day....i mean i only do a lil supermarketing or a half hour walk...other than that im just a couch potatoe..:( so thats why i dont think i should be eating more than 1200 calories and still i eat sometimes 1400-1600 when out for too long. i know i need to be eating 3500 calories to gain a pound...... and im not even close to that.........still im telling u ...MY WEIGHT IS INCREASING... im shivering with the fear of standing on the scale...... |

you silly girl you are soo luckyyy..........i wish i could binge soo much and live to see the day.........im dying for a big holiday where i can take in 4000 calories.....sniff sniff.... ok and as for ur binge problem... dont restrict urself to anything and you wont binge excessively....eat whatever u like.. just remember to fill your tummy up with healthy food first ....once you`re full..you wont feel like hogging on junk food. |

hmmm...i knew many of you all would be concerned about going from one strict diet to another.....but one major reason for me attempting these diets these days is that i aint workin out or exercisin... so i assumed the only way i can finally lose a few pounds is by going on a diet....... and my weight refuses to go below 130lbs...i need to lose only 10lbs more...and yes Jessicasbc and Sherea..i am attempting on following all phases .... and it states that i have to carry on with the induction for 2 weeks. but now im having second thoughts...since not many here seem to have benefitted from it.

heyy...i just read that lentil n chickpeas also dont have carbs..(some selective mayo n cream...and around 5-10 olives are too)..is this true? so later on after induction i guess we can add those too????....im getting more n more happy with the choices of stuff im allowed to eat.....past few months ive been on a strict fruit vege diet with very lil bread rice or meat...i use to be hungry n i wud end up cheating and binging...havent cheated yet here on atkins diet.....is it cuz its soo filling? come on ppl...it cant be dat bad?....dont u agree? |

yes i know....BUT DONT WORY....im followin the induction phase quite properly. and yes.....i am having cramps...and on the other hand...for a couple of days now im on a loose or soft motions..(soft stool)........maybe thats because of the herbal tea that im having....it states it has a mild form of laxative. and yes JAYLAMARIA and topanga....even i have that problem...i wanna fill me up..i wanna be able to eat weneva i want as much as i want.... thats why im finally happy with this diet...but i am scared?....for how many of u did IT WORK? i dont wanna gain...im scared to gain....(im still surprised how one can eat all fat in this diet ..n so much protien but not gain weight)..but still i thot of just tryin the induction phase... many of u have done it rite?...but i havent ... is there anything i shud watch out for? |

ohh ..... but i did that n it approximately showed correct.. n i told my cuzin to do on her scale n it too showed correct... altho wen ever i checkmy weight on other ppls scale.. theres a huge difference... still confused |

hmm good u asked....cuz i myself had no idea ..i too wondered n nowa days im sooo disappointed in myself cuz i sleep for 7-8 hours..... 7 hrs im awake walking talking at home and the rest of 8-9 hrs im on my pc.....no movement....hmmm..not gooddd......8-( i shud start like u..... atleast do ten mins ten minutes walk or something i kno it aint that good but atleast u do that....i dont even DO THAT. |

ok yess...i kno wat u saying....and yes i use to binge more wheni use to work out and now i hardly binge ever since i stopped all activitiess....i sleep alll day lol..or sit at my desk...there r days when i FORGET to eat....yupp i forget that ohh my i havent eaten at all todayyyy but initially when i was at my wits end trying to lose weight and quit binging i did a few tricks u mite wanna try i drank alot alot alot of water.........min 3 litres of water...kept me active fresh and tummy full.....mostly warm water and yes i use to drink dark black coffeee with salt,,,,, it wud spoil the taste of my mouth and i wudnt want to eat anything at alll......i even bought all kinds of disgusting herbal teas which tasted horrible..... just to spoil my taste and the mood to eat u may wanna start simpley by having 3-4 litrs of water....and noo matter WHAT REMB NOT TO EAT AT ALL AFTER 7-8 PM......tell ur self ur gonna weigh urself in the morning and it will warm up if u eat at nite......cuz ur gonna check 1st thing in morning....controll till morning...hehehe...thats the hardest part...but u can do it. |

welll ummmm i dont think i remb the taste of any frizzy sodas anymore....they`re all out it was the easiest to let go cuz i was never a soda person more of a juice and smoothy girl and ..now...no more smoothies as wellll....last i had a mango or banana smoothy must have been 7 months back no sugar of any kind in any of my drinks..... altho i do suck on 2-3chips (hersheys) i have reduced my fast food intake from every twice a week to twice a month i have still not been able to control myself around cakes....im crazy for them i have reduced my addiction to baskin nrobbins mint choco chip which i use to take ATLEAST 5 times a week....to......ONCE in two months......yuppp believe it mann...i can ggo on n on......and i never realised i had made soo many changes until im posting here...wow thanx girl |

wellll ahem ahem i think i can help u out here......i live with two brothers who would eat junk infront of me allllll dayyyyyy........ burger king...pizza hut..... chocolates and yes even tho i was working very hard to lose weight i did end up binging a couple of times............ now wat did i do to solve this prob very simple............. i COOKED i cooked the most amazing yummmy meals for them at home pasta....... indian........ chinese.....nice tasty healthy food and welll ..its kinda emotional blackmail.... u know ur lil sis is staying home and making u such tasty dinner and u wud still opt for mc donald.....:(....sniff sniff sooo it actually worked......they stopped bringing junk home at times i wud wake up early morning and make thisss whole big luxurious irani breakfast for them hehehe that wud keep their tummy full for the day..... and no binging infront of me...hehehe and ohh yesss u must be wondering how did i control myself from eating all that food.....well i guesss when u`re cooking the meal ur apetite is decresed.... and welll its easier to avoid home food than branded junk lol and even if u do end up binging a bit of ur own cooked meal..... its not that harmful. hope i was helpful |

sERIOUSLY GIRL IVE BEEN EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM FOR WEEKS NOW i dunno what to do....im bouncing from 143 -140 , since weeks now....i finnally managed to reach 139 and then the next day it was back up................................. I HATE THIS. i have to lose 20lbs......how will i ever lose that at this rate?.....and it takes soo much effort and concentration to lose a singke pound and.... the other day if i do a single binge or any mistake .....the 1-2 lbs immediately goes up,. IN SHORT.....im fed up toooo..... i feel like my body refuses to go below that point. |

i know how u feel.... and at many days im actually unable to consume more than 600-800 calories (but thats cuz im still recovering from starvation of only 200 calorie a day) it happens to all of us , we are feeling sick or too busy or ...funny if it may sound i sometimes FORGET to eat..lol...... my scale loses a pound the other day, buti make sure that...... I EAT EXTRA THE OTHER DAY..... i complete my 1200 calories, ... . its not always important to just lose weight..... u should be able to eat AND THEN LOSE WEIGHT....or atleast not gain..... if u eat less than 1200 calories ur body will be used to it and ull gain in a DAY when u eat extra.... and it will be alot harder to lose then.... cuz ur body now knows what tricks ur playing with it.... and trust me.... u dont wanna play with ur body. |

my support and blessing with you clairelaine , for ur good health And as for eating healthy dear jet and jlkrawec,... i DO EAT HEALTHY FOOD. fruits and veges are my main dish... a lil rice or chicken is the side dish , not more than 100g. PPL say protien constipates u, but im not having much protien... sure i snack and cheat at times.... but thats normal rite ? ur not preachy at all betzc i appreciate every lil word on every post, but i guess u should know im only 21 and i have wasted my whole childhood being fat (if u know how it feels being 176 lb 13 yr old),. but i just want to make sure my youth goes pretty. |

ok i feel like the strangest one here now after reading all this ....when i was only 12yrs old i weighed 141lbs....and every year after returning from summer vacation i weight 10lbs extra..... at 21 yrs of age i was 176lbs..... and strangely i could never fit in size 14 i always needed ATLEAST SIZE 16 OR 18 or maybe in some shops even size 20....... ppl and shop keepers wouldnt believe me that i weighed that much or that im size 18..... they`d say im size 14 the most but nope , the button would refuse to close at 14...(oh and im talking about uk shopping ...bhs or marks) so i cant believe that at 235lbs u wore 16 or 18........ im feeling all conscoius now.... am i oddly shaped?..... my measurement is ..34- 28- 38...... and now i manage to fit into size 12 or 14 from some shops...at many im still wearing XL dear singingfatlady..... i think we`re sailing in the same boat!!!... |

yesss well.... i think we've all been there...... but i have ppl in my family who actually tell me.... dont stop now ayesha....ur going good 10lbs more..... and then there r some who say ...ok ayesha now stop before u start losing the beauty from ur face..... lols.... i do worry about that though....i love my face...i dont like long thin faces ... i like to see a lil meat on a girls face it looks nice..... i have a small but round face with slightly pointed chin and im glad to say my cheekbones are now showing...... how long does it take to lose the fat from the face though?...i always wondered? |

HAVE 7-8 GLASSES of water and dont eat anything atleast 3 hours b4 u sleep..... ull notice a change then..... i learned that from oprah .... its actually a very good and simple advice and yet so many of us froget to follow it. |

i feel bad for u....... it has happened to me also ...and in my time i felt like killing myself .... i use to punish my body for not losing any pounds even tho im working so hard from my side...... my scale was usually like a yoyo until it stood still........ I HATED IT SOOOOO MUCH..... i was even checking inches and it was also not changing...... i read other ppls motivation here to keep goin n not to give up... move to healthier diet, more fruits and vege and extra extra water and less carbs, (my calorie allowance however remained the same ie 1100-1200) , eventually it started to change, once i started to pee alot, i used the toilet around 6-7 times a day. AND VOILLAH lol..... it worked.... so once my weight started to show some lil changes i relaxed and carry on with the new diet for atleast a month and after that i increased the intake of carbs and sugar etc etc...... |

i dont think anyone here has faced starvatiopn the way i have....... i was surviving only on air and water b4 i came here. for 2 months i was on absolute starvation i only had coffeee and it killed my hunger and spoiled the taste of my mouth. i was so happy since my weight did falll but then it stood still for weekss and weeks and the minute i had even a glass of juice the other day my weight was 1kg extra..., lol... so i got scared to even start to do the low calorie diet as i knew i would gain even by a slice of apple..... and i did..... so i started slow..... 100 cal, 200 cal 300cal, 400, call and now i take around 1100 cals....and feelin great. sure i gained weight initially but then with extra workout and better nourishing food like veges and milk i didnt feel heavier i felt nice and light and i enjoy my calorie allowance its so much for me... he ehhe its like a treat........ so all u guys ...remember if ur losing by eating...then ur losing it right. |
