| Weight Loss | I'm REALLY DEPRESSED.. Help me!!!!! =( =( =( | Oct 14 2009 11:47 (UTC) |

I'm in the exact situation as you are..only I have gained much more than you did. Gaining double the weight that I lost. Its horrible, I know what you're going through. Fat around my belly is growing and its like I've got myself a teen beer belly. I don't have much advice right now because I'm still having trouble keeping it for even one week. I kept gaining and gaining for 2 months and I can't stop. Right now I'm keeping myself motivated by sticking "Day 1" "Day 2" stickies on my wall. Also in my calender i cross out every day that I managed to keep on track. I have barely nothing at home to eat except for soup and fruits. Other stuff may need to be cooked or prepared. My 5-day school trip is in 35 days and I want to loose by then. Also because I'm going stream trekking (something like that), I had to submit my weight for the equipments and I wrote myself much lighter than what I currently is. And I'm also going through some pms or just daily doses of depression so I'm in no mood to even care for a happy binge. ..I'll probably binge again in the weekends though. lets go through this together? :) good luck hun. msg me if anything yeah. |

I've seen semi medium-sized muffins with a 160kcal value. Pretty shocking and it taste just like real muffins too! I don't believe it though, don't want to risk to actually intake 200kcals more. I guess it all depends whether it is within a reasonable range. |

I'm not sure if it applies to your case but when I was under-eating severely, I had drastic mood swings and pangs of sadness from time to time. Long story short, I got before and after personality tests to prove it. Extrovert to introvert. I suggest to eat more if you are having some extreme diet. takecare xx. |

I try to keep my 'cheat days' on Sunday only, weekdays are at my diet and Saturday is my maintenance day. Normally I try to eat a bit over my maintenance by 300cals? It's normally when I stuff myself with sugar but sometimes it just gets a little out of control and binge..): I find that having a cheat day is like a motivation. I'll go like "I can't wait until Sunday when I can eat that muffin" and I actually look forward to it. This week I'm going to eat banana cinnamon bread haha (: Just make sure you don't eat all your 3500cals up as extra because obviously you'll just ruin your hard work on the days you were on diet. |

I can't believe I ate so much junk when I was young and was still able to keep at a "okay" range. I miss my metabolism ): I literally would eat when I was bored, after meals, at night, during class and oily (but heavenly yum) lunches; just whenever and whatever I like. Wanted to loose a little because I do have a small frame with some little chub, then it went out of control and went through some really bad months where I would feel super tired just by walking up a flight of stairs. Went down to my lowest 102lbs. Its a love/hate relationship with counting really... Something you need to be aware of but it also takes too much control over yourself. I don't know if I'll ever not count now because it just feel so natural and something I do daily. Except when I binge haha. But yeah, back at 107lb now and trying to do this the healthy way. :/ I miss those days so muchhh ugh. ): |

I can't say our caf sells unhealthy foods, it's actually pretty good compared to alot of schools. We sell salads, sandwiches, fruits/vegetables (individual packages), yoghurts, frozen yoghurt bars and granola bars for the healthy snack section. For main meals, they sell spaghetti/noodles or rice with sauce and meat. Sometimes there would be pizza, fries and burgers but rarely. Some unhealthy would include brownies, chips, cookies, fried-potatoes related, springrolls and chicken wings. A [girl; tall and normal weight, leans to the thin side] - varies; half a tuna sandwich or one cookie or 3/4 cups of sweet corns or a granola bar. (Thinks need to be thinner) N [girl; avg height, thin] - Before had home lunch which was one plain ham sandwich, now is a granola bar, 110kcals. (I think its hilarious how she thinks she needs a diet. What the hell. but I'm not the one to judge.) T [girl; avg height and weight] - Salad with smoked salmon slices and approx. one tbsp sauce. (Pretty healthy and non-weight conscious but thats all she eats haha) D [girl; avg-short height, overweight] - chicken sandwich, if sold out: fried-potato related food. Juice. O [girl; avg-short height, thin/petit] - homelunch: eats half of her rice with veggies and meat. Juice (Says she needs to loose weight and is fat.) C [guy; avg height, chubby] - Crazy binger. A mixture of chickenwings, fried-potato related foods, dumplings, main meals and spring rolls. (Claims he 'eats' his own feelings) C#2 [guy; avg height and weight] - main meals or order delivery: Beef rice. F [guy; tall and big, not fat] - Same as C#2 (Trying to slim down?) H [guy; avg height and thin/petit] - Same as C#2 Me - two thin ricecakes or crackers with 30cal spreads or ham. Total 130 max. I'm guilty on both breakfast and lunch but i dont feel comfortable eating so much..Struggling. |

Normally i would drink water or see how it would affect my diet. I ask myself if i am going to really really really enjoy it, if not, its not worth the calories. But these few weeks i've been having the most horrible binges ever that i think i gained back all my 5 months of hard work! ugh. Does anyone have any suggestions for chocolate (not chocodrinks or dark chocolate please :P) and bakery/cookies cravings?? I'm really stuck here because they are my weakness. Even my usual junk-refusal techniques doesn't work anymore. ): |

im 15 weighing 108, trying to get back to 104 after a christmas binge. Found this site in august searching for the calories for bubble tea haha. I hated my arms in a tanktop so decided to loose weight. Eventually i developed an ED and a mini EDNOS by extreme dieting. By december i lost control and binged uncontrollably :P. However it did help me recover on the ED. Planning to loose the weight again but i still get occasional binges..): |

I'm getting the same problem as you ): Today I just finished a whole pack of gummies and bought a blueberry muffin even after lunch. At night I kept on eating chocolates. I always could control my sugar cravings but I don't know what's happening now! I just want sugar and more sugar. The "one piece of treat a day" to lower my cravings isn't working either considering I can't stop eating more than one. Anyway, I heard that it might be because of a low fat intake or being dehydrated. Fat provides more appetite satisfaction. |

I agree with other's posts. Everyone has their fat days and since you're also recovering, I don't think 1350 is that bad. But yeah, i think rather than eating food that does no good, get some healthier alternatives that gives the same calories plus the needed nutrition that you're lacking. From the foods you ate, they're mostly processed snacks with tons of calories. Suggest you try eating some more healthy carbs and protein. They will most likely contain less calories per gram in comparison to the snacks thus you can eat more! Very filling and healthy. |

I can really relate! I'm asian as well and by what the BMI is telling me, I'm underweight (slightly). But to be honest I don't even look like what my numbers tell me. I'm 105 but if I were in my original weight, I would still be serious risk of underweight anyway. 105 shouldn't be underweight for me, my mom is 120 and considered chubby. Anyway, by what you wrote, the flabs are the things troubling you so why not tone them up? (: Loose those fats and show the muscles. Lift weights and do aerobatic exercises. Don't think the BMI works for everyone but I don't think you should restrict the calories by that much. What you need isn't loose weight but loose fat. Exercising is the healthiest way. |

i had to quit counting because i just went obsessive with it, couldnt focus in class at one point! seeing the numbers on CC makes me feel like im overeating or something and that'll just make me keep eating less. im still unconsciously counting sometimes but i eat the same thing when i was in a diet-- just fitting light snacks in to slowly increase intakes. my weights maintaining so far but we'll see how that goes (: and i think intuitive eating is the best way to eat good portions and without counting. good luck with that! |

Sometime in the weekends go buy a pack of raisinbuns and cartons of milk (need calcium!!) or you can always grab a apple on your way to school and eat it there. and maybe keep some nuts or some cereal in your locker so whenever you're there, pop some in your mouth (: |
