I did see that one but, mine is more of an elongated bottle with an assymetrical cap. It's eau de toilette (I should have been more clear.) Thank for your help!

Just an observation. Why do Americans live so close to the edge. People above have kids in private school and they are not working!! Bad descision after bad decison. Pick a degree you dont like but won't just work in that area to pay the bills. Single parent - decision to have a kid but do not have a stable financial background. Barely finished your education and picky about the areas you are interested in. Seems like the whole of America is like a high school. Barely a sensible decision. Your business really, except unfortunately the infantile behaviour of the American dream will cause a five year world-wide recession.

Stop driving around in your big SUVs - one paycheck away from bankrupcy!!

Not sure where to start... I think you are judging someone very harshly that you don't even know, sounds like you're very bitter about something. I never said that I won't take certain jobs, I will take anything at this point. I've even considered working for house cleaning agencies while waiting to hear from the places I applied. And you know...people grow and change, especially at my age so, after the extremely hard time I had finishing a degree in Biochemistry, I'm not in love with it.  That's not the point...and I didn't choose to become a single mother but, after 3 years of abuse, I had to become one. I do not own anything close to an SUV but, I feel very strongly about private school for my son and I get 50% off tuition. Honestly, I've been living off my loans and parent's help. I do the very best to raise my son and give him what I can. He never goes to a babysitter just so I can go out and have fun like many other single mothers I know. And lastly, I will not be put down and categorized in this way after the blood, sweat and tears that it took to get to where I am today. This will be my last post.

Can't give too much new advice but, like the others said; cut back and look for any kind of work if you need money right away. All I can really do to make you feel better (maybe) is to tell you my situation, which is not unusual but, pretty bad at this point. I'm a single mom and I just graduated from college in June. I've had only three interviews about a month ago and still don't have a job. It's been nearly 4 months and I already started receiving notices that my numerous school loan bills are going to be arriving soon. My son is also in a private school and the financial aid person is sending notices about how huge my balance is. To add to that, also like you, I'm not too crazy about my science related degree and I realized that I don't want to work in research anymore but, now other fields won't even give me a chance. Well, good luck with your search! I hope you find something that you'll be happy with.

Haha. Relationships are like the end of horror movies, just when you think the monster is dead, he pops out again and you find out there will be a sequel.

She'll get lonely and emotional, then he will call her when he is drunk and sing her her favorite song, she'll cry, and say, "O , I love you!"

That's the problem with dating hot guys, every other woman wants them and they have lots of temptation. What all girls need is a boring ugly NICE GUY—like ME! Frown

You are very wise! The whole time I thought you were a girl...I guess I consider girls to have more insight into this kind stuff.

Honestly, he sounds awful and very familiar! You are way too young to continue with this crap. Go be free with your friends and enjoy life.  Have fun, grow, learn and "the one" will find you. I went through all that drama even younger than you, where I thought he was my soul mate and I couldn't go on without him, even though ALL the SIGNS were there that I needed to stay away. Everyone goes through the feeling you're having but, it sounds like you are wasting your time and he's obviously acting innappropriate and immature.

My stats are pretty close to yours but, I've never exercised as much as you do. I started out about the same time as you at 145 and after I got down to 135 I hit a short plateau THEN I was 130 for probably 2 months. There have been some days where I ate a little less then 1200 but, not on purpose. Mostly I eat 1200-1400 with a handful of pig out days in between (1700-1900 cals.)  I just started ballet and our class lasted for 80 mins! I've never been so sore, honestly I had no idea Ballet I would be so hard! Well, that day I allowed my self about 1400 cals or a little over becuase CC said I burned over 300 cals.  My point is it may take longer than you had hoped to lose the weight but if you eat normally(1200+), keeping in mind how much you burn, it will come off eventually. I also think that the Zig Zag diet works because almost everytime that I eat a little more than I had planned on, the next day I'm down 1 pound!

http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calc ulator.htm#

Just fill it out and click 7 day calorie cycle zig zag to figure out your personal plan. There are also plenty of other sites on zig zag.

By the way, I am so happy today because I'm 128 after nearly a MONTH at 129, so you'll get there!

Good Luck!

I love it! It's like a dessert to me. I usually get it at Trader Joe's, not sure if other places carry it. It's a little expensive but, at this store you can get the storebrand version.

I have REALLY dark circles under my eyes but I use Clinique Line Smoothing Concealer to hide them and it works wonders!  It doesn't get stuck in lines because it smoothes them out (i.e. line smoothing concealer).  It's also a little thicker than some others I've used so it hides more without looking thick.  It's only about $14 and you can get it as Sephora or any Macy's.  Make sure to ask which color would work best for you though so you don't go too light.  Good luck!

Thanks, I'll try it! But I have to admit that I tend to believe that only more expensive products work.

Thanks guys. Yeah...I know that there isn't a cream out there to make them go away. I've considered buying the $100 cream at Sephora but, I think it's a lost cause. Well, the concealers I've used are: Time balm and Benefit erase paste..They're absolutely better than nothing but, the puffiness is still there and it gets in my creases. Ugly!!!

I don't know if this is helpful but, I've had 2 plateaus too. I'm 10 years older...5'7" and I went down from 145 pounds and then stayed at around 135 for a couple of weeks, then I finally got down to 130 and was there for well over a MONTH. I don't exercise much.. sometimes walking or ballet/pilates but, I do try to eat 1200-1400. Finally, today BOTH=) of my scales said 129 pounds! I think you should just keep doing what you are doing, it make just take some time. Also, have you heard of the zig zag diet? I'm trying it and I think it's working.

pumpkin314: I totally agree with you! I mean, when I'd gone down from 145 to 135 (at 5'7") my chunky friends were telling me that I'm obssessed and saying that I have the potential of becoming anorexic! I'm at 130 now and THAT'S not even close to being skinny. Plus, as we all know;it's all biological, each woman wants to be more attractive than the other to compete for men. So, I guess the bag of candy was her way of taking out the competition.

Thanks for all the info! I'm not trying to starve myself. I even eat dessert almost everyday. Real dessert like bavarian chocolate pudding. I don't eat celery all day or anything. I am pretty sedentary... I have periods of time where I'm really into doing the only thing I like: pilates/ballet, and then I don't do anything at all for a while. I know I have to exercise regularly, sooo lazy! The only thing that confuses me is that I've seen 3 different minimum BMI for women on various websites:18.5, 19.5, and now 20. I know this might be wishful thinking but, I want to be 120 (don't think it's underweight), I was at that weight about 12 years ago as a teenager. Is it possible to go back to that weight now? I was the same height then too and I didn't look TOO skinny. And of course I'm not going to only eat 1000 cals a day because I'm soo hungry even at 1200. I just think I'm underestimating, maybe.

jofarc: I really feel for you! I think each one of us has felt like running away at one time or another, no matter what's going on in our lives or our lifestyle. The last time I felt like that over the weekend because I'm really depressed right now:unemployed, single mom, no relatives around to babysit, love him to death but with my child 24 hrs a day when not in school, cannot find a job all summer, can't find REAL love. Anyway...you are over worked and I'n UNDERworked, we both have guilt over our children, but, I think that at the point when it's all built up and we feel like we are at the worst point, life WILL get better. There has to be a balance in the universe...

I have had a job where my stomach would hurt every morning because my boss was sooo intimidating and scary. But, right now I'd take almost anything because I'm unemployed and a single mom. I graduated from university in June and haven't found anything yet. I'm seriously considering cleaning houses or something... until I get a real job. And to make it worse after completing my degree I realized that I absolutely don't want to work in my field but, I will if I get hired. So, all we can do is make the other parts of our lives worth living. And nothing is more important than spending time with your children and husband. If you can afford to live on your husband's salary, you might want to quit.

Hi!

I can be your buddy! I'm 27 and I have an 8 year old boy. He also wants to eat out in the weekends and the best place I've found is Noodles and company. I'm not sure if you have one where you live but, they have really good stuff and low cals. They even have brochures that tell you the cals in each dish. Yeah, I don't have much support either, everyone I know tells me that I'm fine or I'm too skinny already and that I'm crazy for counting calories all the time. I try to exercise but, I'm pretty lazy. Sometimes I do DVDs at home (pilates/ballet.) I commend you for working out and don't worry too much about eating out on the weekends as long as you don't over do it and eat a lot less during the week.

I speak Russian because I was born in Moscow. I learned Spanish on my own at first because I was really into this Mexican singer so, I listened to all her songs and with the help of a dictionary deduced what she was saying. The biggest help is to actually here and see the words at the same time. The most helpful thing was watching all of her soap operas and the news in Spanish, especially with subtitles. Later in college I took a summer of spanish which taught me grammar. Now I want to learn French just because it sounds elegant but, Spanish or even Japenese or Chinese would be more practical depending on which field of work you will go into.

Weight Loss Can a medium framed person ever get down to 110-120? Sep 07 2008

Are you planning on becoming a model? I'm 5'7" ,130, and I want to get down to 120 minimum. I used to be that weight a while ago and I was skinny but, not sickly looking. At 110 I looked pretty bad and that only happened because I was sick and couldn't eat for two weeks. I always thought I had a medium frame also but, my wrist is 6"?

I totally agree with you! I read your bio and it's amazing how similar our stats are! I was born the same year, same height, was at about 145 until I graduated in June. I lost ten pounds from May 2008 by mid June. And yes, everybody who weighed more than me kept telling me that I was too skinny already and some kept observing my habits and wondering if I was anorexic. I'm not and I could never be, I love food too much. Well, I'm 130 now and I haven't lost anymore for a month or so. I'm lazy too, it takes some major guilt about over indulging to get me moving. I want to get down to 120-125 also.
