  • Well I have been bad at writing on here. Sorry. I am finally stabily at 143lbs and that is exciting. Ive started to do weights twice a week and increased my intensity and distance with running. I go back to Alaska on saturday though and am nervous i might get out of my good habits because it will be cold. Anyways... here is my update!

    Well i think the 146 was a one day thing because the next day I was 150. I am really frustrated that I am not loosing weight. But at the same time I feel like I dont have enough time to go to the gym and work out as much as I need to. This week and next week are my last weeks of hell at school for at least a month. I CANT WAIT. But um I dont know. I am proud that I am eating normal again, because i used to binge eat alot (thats how i gained 30 lbs), but i just wish it would come off because I am running and eating healthy. GRRR. Oh and i see the boyfriend for the first time in two months this weekend so hopefully he notices :) AHH but only a month and a half to loose 20 lbs. Not sure i can do it...

    I honestly have no idea haha. Thursday i was REALLY stressed out and recovered by eating pizza and sorbet. But I did cut down a bit on little stuff like got rid of the cake in our house and chocolate. Plus I noticed my servings were getting bigger again so i cut back down to before. But other than that I really dont know lol :). The crazy thing will be if I am able to get to 140 in two weeks. Its kinda ambitious! Hopefully then my old clothes will fit enough to wear :P. Glad to hear im not the only one wearing clothes too big and being too stubborn to get new ones :)

    Hey everybody. Didn't write last week just cause i wasnt really happy with my weigh in. Been really stressed out with school, couple of late nights, some sweets and i might have been gaining some muscle mass. But I guess i did alright this week since i am down to 146. My boyfriend just bought me a plane ticket to go see him in north carolina in two weeks so I am gonna try and get down to 140 by then. SOO excited! Also thanks last week for everyone giving me little comments. Rollerskiing is a lot of fun and really hard to do. Plus it burns about 1000 calories an hour! I have also started doing intervals regularly twice a week along with my hour runs. Its nice to able to do them again. My coach also noticed I had lost weight and that was really cool! The down size is none of my clothes fit! I wear my roommates pants and clothes all the time because they fit perfectly but they are like $100 pairs of jeans! I wish I could shop for new clothes but I am broke as broke can be right now so I can't get any yet. I have a box of old clothes I am waiting to be able to fit into again. Anyone else facing that issue? Anyways, keep up the good work everyone!

  • I am so excited that I am at least back to 150! I told myself as soon as I got back to 150 I would start rollerskiing agian. Plus the weather is cooling down here so skiing is kind of on my mind more. Yesterday I got to go on my first successful 60 minute run. I have gone on several 60 minute runs in the past two months but they sucked. One reason I couldnt breathe, two there was chaffage, and three i always felt there was stuff bouncing around. But this time, it was amazing! I was really cold out so i had some tights on, a sweatshirt, and a headband. The sun was out and i went on a new trail. I only lost my breath on the top of the big hills and it felt sooo good to have such a great run. Yay! I don't know if I will be able to loose 30 by christmas or not but as of right now I am just happing im loosing weight in general! Ive never been successful at it. Cant wait to look good though for my guy at christmas :)

    feel u on the time thing. Im always busy but i try to take little cat naps, get enough sleep, and workout. Plus I LOVE running so i enjoy it. the other day i didnt want to go to the gym and do a hard workout on the track but it helped that there were cute coaches and hot men at the gym. Thats motivation right there, and even though i have a bf far far away, it doesnt hurt to look if it gets u off ur butt right?! But yeah, school is really stressful and i know i try hard to  eat healthy even though sometimes it seems easier to eat crap. Especially during PMS! anyways, keep it up, u guys loosing weight is my inspiration!

    Aw man, this past week has been really crazy. I had two exams last week and was pretty stressed out so i was worried i wasnt going to do good on my weigh in.     Hey guys, its before the weigh in date but I had to write. Im having PMS i call it cause i crave EVERYTHING bad for me the week before. So yesterday i had three bagels and cream cheese after dinner. I didnt feel too bad about it cause i was filling that evil craving, but now im just worried it will effect the weight loss this week. Plus I had to skip working out yesterday as well to catch up on studying for exams. But the day after i posted my weight i was 156 instead of 157 and was sooo excited! Plus my doctor said i should eat less dairy products so hopefully that will help. And thanks for the lower calorie snack ideas. Ill do my best.

  • Aw man, So life is definately testing me out right now and I feel horrible that I can't spend more time reading everyone's responces. I have a job interview tommorow with no time for a job but need the money and two exams this week. I am sooo exhausted and even though I dropped two classes and only have 12 credits I feel like my life is really crazy. Not entirely sure if I am balancing ok but I am trying. I think i am having trouble still with eating less or whatever when im working out and studying and moving all the time, i get hungry a lot. Any advice? PLeasee? Also, I think it is AMAZING that everyone is loosing weight, it definately gives me motivation. So does seeing my boyfriend again at christmas and being in great shape! alright keep it up!

    • Ok so after my uncles wedding I was worried I had gained back weight. But I stepped on the scale the day after I got back and i was still at where I was the week before. You don't know how happy I was. This week im back to running again, even did a hard workout and forced myself to do weights. The only thing i think im having too much of is chai tea... it keeps me awake when I still have homework to do but i think im having it in moderation so i guess its still good for me. Anyways heres my not so new update

    well I am afraid to jump on the scale tommorow... I went to colorado for a wedding this weekend and i had too much to eat! But to answer the question before about what prevents me from reaching my goals i think it is stress of school, being tired, or social pressure when you go out to eat. It just seems wrong to order oatmeal or something if you go out to eat for breakfast. Any ideas on that sort of thing?

    alright! im really late on posting my weigh in because i was in New Mexico this weekend but i lost 5 lbs!!!

    163 to 158!

    Been trying to run and eat as healthy as possible, expecially at restaurants and traveling. I lost the key to my bike lock so now im stuck walking to class everyday... which i suppose is exercise too but biking was funner. Anyways, soo excited and i also just dropped two classes out of my 6 because i was getting stressed and hardly had time to run or eat right. Hopefully its worth it :)

    alright so this is the start of my first week... pretty excited. I just got back to school so im really busy getting all the important things done for class before all the homework arrives. I tried running yesterday but could only run 15 mins because my lungs just told me to stop. I was sad but its 7000ft altitude and im not in as good as shape as i was last summer so i figure its just gonna take me a week or two to get used to and plus i need a new inhaler! However I gotta try and go to the gym this week, i bike to class, im on the 3rd floor of my apartment and have to carry my bike up with me, and im going to join a running club in town. Not to mention my old running buddy lost weight this summer and looks GREAT so I can't wait to either. Weigh in on Sunday, hope its good!

    Hi, this group sounds perfect since that is my goal. I am a college student and weigh 163lbs. About a year or two ago I weighed 130 lbs. I used to train a lot for nordic skiing and when I quit i was depressed and started binging. I've succesfully stopped binging and am no longer depressed. However I gained 20 lbs in the process and another 10lbs from 3 months in Italy. I love running and skiing and my weight gain is making it harder and less enjoyable, expecially because my school is such a good running school. I would love to loose the weight to improve my running for a 200 mile relay race in february and to be able to start doing some ski racing again. Im against starving to diet so im curious how im going to be able to do this in such a short amount of time. Would love a pen pal :)
