Had 24 hour sickness for about 6 weeks but I’m feeling great now. Time is finally starting to speed up and I know that Christmas will be here in no time. This is the one year that I won’t mind it coming quickly. I’m expecting to put on between two and a half and three stone in weight in total. I have already gained over a stone, so I’m hoping that I don’t over do it. Keep up the exercise. Take care of yourself Karen |

Hi all Hope ye are all week. Im 22 weeks pregnant today and 160lbs. Im feeling well at the moment and looking forward to the last few months. How are ye all getting on with the weight loss? Hope ye are keeping up the good work as i will be needing yer help once the baby comes. Regards Karen |

Hi all, Just checking in on ye. Im 12 weeks today and have am now 147lbs. I have a huge belly already and even though I know Im pregnant its depressing putting on the weight and having my clothes getting tight again. Finally the all day sickness is getting better so hopefully I can stop having to eat on the hour every hour. I never though I would get so sick of eating. Hi all. I have some wonderful news…..I’m pregnant. We are delighted. I had a scan last Wednesday and everything is going to plan. I’m 9 weeks today and am due at the end of January 2010. It’s typical as soon as I reached my goal weight I get pregnant…so now I will have to put all that weight back on again. I will keep an eye on yer posts and log on every now and again to tell ye how fat I’m getting. I will really need all yer help in loosing the weight once the baby is born. So keep up the good work. Hi all. Another fantastic day weather wise here in Ireland today. Its amazing how much less you eat when the weather is hot. I’m down another small bit this week i.e. to 138.8lbs. Tanya you are still maintaining your weight very well. You are bound to go up and down a few pounds. Don’t stress. Wyogirl i know it must be frustrating being sick and not being able to do anything but concentrate on getting better for now and worry about the weight later. Welcome mrsmelbellev. Morning all, Thanks for all the good wishes. Since I’m at the lowest weight I have been for year I said id better do a bit of a body measure up before I came to work this morning. So how has the 20lbs that I have lost affect the different parts of my body??? Well here are the results: Reductions of 1” off arms and 3.5” off thigh circumferences. Waist has reduced by 4.5” and hips 4”. My chest measurements are 3” less when measured underneath, and 4” off when measured both above the chest and across the nipples. I know that my body has changed but I didn’t realise by how much. What is strange is the last 7lbs I lost reduced my waist by 2.5”, and hips & chest by 2”. Who would have though that 7lbs would make such a difference. Is it any wonder how my clothes don’t fit when I put on weight. |

Hi all, amazing news. Was not overly good during the week and expected to be up and would have been happy to have just stayed the same but to my surprise I was down two pounds this morning. Can’t believe that I have finally reached my goal weight but not only that am now I’m below it. I’m now 139.2lbs (down 20lbs since January).Yip, yip, yip, yip…….thought I would never see the day that I would be nine stone something again. I don’t want to loose much more weight now just maintain it. How did ye all get on this week? |

Another week gone and only down half a pound. Was down 2lbs during the week but had a big family day out on Saturday and have not stopped eating since. Hope to loose at lease 1lb this week. How are ye all doing? |

Tanya sorry to hear about your friend, it must be hard for you. Death puts everything into perspective. We should be happy with what and who we are. Our weight is only a small thing. Wyogirl don’t worry about the weight until your better. It’s more important that your ankle heals properly. If you put up a few pounds on so what, I’m sure once you are better you will loose them again. It’s hard to do anything except eat when you are sitting down all day. Maybe have a bunch of grapes or some other fruit on a table near you so that when you get the urge to eat, then it healthy fruit you eat and not chocolate. Try also the have small snacks every few hours so that your body doesn’t have the chance to get hungry. Try to of keep your spirits up. Get better soon. Kar |

Hi all, Bank/Public holiday here yesterday so got up too late to weigh myself properly. My weight has been up and down this week. I started out at Monday at 143.2lbs, by Friday I was down to 141.2lbs (down 2lbs), Sunday I was 141.6lbs and then this morning I was 143.0lbs. I wasn’t very good over the weekend but I wasn’t bad enough to put on nearly 2lbs. All that good work gone to wasteL So still 3lbs to go to my target weight. How did ye all get on? |

Morning Down 2.4lbs this week. Started the week well but wasn’t very good over the weekend. Have 3lbs to loose over the next two weeks to reach my target weight of 140lbs. Made my homemade soup again last night and I’m going to eat this for lunch for the week. Its really low on calories, is full of nutrients/vitamins and best of all is very filling. How are ye all getting on? |

Hi all Down 1.4lbs this morning now 143.8lbs. Im going to put in a major effort this week and try to loose 2 to 3lbs. Im going to weigh in on Sunday morning as I know Im going to eat my easter egg Sunday so my Monday weight wont be good. Tanya enjoy the holiday and stop worrying about your weight for the week. Wekcome mlbaker1973. You seem to be having no problem loosing the weight 19lbs already this year is brillant. Dont worry about maybe gaining a bit due to your airport holiday. I don’t know how I didn’t gain more weight as I devoured load of chocolate and had chips, pizza and deserts every day. I didn’t deny myself anything. I was skiing for three of the days and went for walks on the other days so I suppose that must have burned some calories. Back to the Irish food now tho' so will have to take it handy. |

Hi all, Sorry I couldn’t check in last week as I went on a weeks holiday and to my surprise I had no access to the internet. So here is my update: Monday 9th March 146.4lbs Monday 16th March 146.6lbs Up 0.2lbs Monday 23rd March 148.2lbs Up 1.6lbs I really enjoyed my holiday and didn’t watch what I ate. Was expecting to be up a lot this morning but as I did some exercise the weight gain wasn’t as bad as I was expecting. Staring seriously again this morning. New goal dates set as follows: Target weight of 142lbs for Easter (13th April) – 3 weeks time (2lbs per week) Target weight of 130lbs for 6th July – 1lb a week over 12 weeks Start again with me, set new goal dates and weights wyogirl/Tanya and we will try to get our motivation back. Hi all, Welcome Tanya. Spend most of my time eating this week. Don’t know what’s wrong with me but I couldn’t stop at one biscuit I had to have the whole pack. Totally gave up trying to be good. What’s sad is the nice food things were not as nice as I remembered. Now that still didn’t stop me finishing them but its interesting the way I had made some foods in my mind out to be utterly fantastic and when I ate them they we only ok. Was nervous getting on the scales this morning as I felt I could have gained about 3lbs so was very surprised to see that I’m only up 1lb (Now 146.4lbs). Have started again this morning and hope to loose at least a pound this week. How did ye all get on?

Its been a while tikitas. We all struggle with motivation but I found that this time I’m doing it for me (no one else), so I can get back to being the way I was. I don’t know if I’m looking at the past through rose coloured glasses but I seemed to be so much happier when I was thinner. Not that I’m not happy now but I seem to have lost my confidence. What I find the hardest is when I weigh in and have lost some weight……… I go to work and am bursting to tell someone. I want to scream it out, but no one at work cares and why should they. That’s why this buddy group is important as only other people who are trying to loose weigh can understand what you’re gone through to loose that pound. Set yourself some goals and we will all try to do this together. |

Forgot to mention that seven weeks ago I measured my body to see where I would loose the weight. I have lost 13lbs since and the loss was distributed as follows: 0.5” off my arms, 2.5” off my chest, 2” from my stomach, 2”from my hips and an amazing 2.5” off each thigh. Who would have thought that it would change my body by that amount. |

I lost 2.5lbs this week. Now 146.2lbs. I find that I loose the weight from Monday to Thursday and then its a matter of trying not to put it back on at the weekends. The goal is to loose another pound this week. Good work wyogirl you’re definitely going in the right direction. Welcome Tina. Set yourself small goals, do it in stages like a goal weight of a stone (14lbs) and an achievable goal date of maybe in 6-8 weeks. Its not easy but I find that after a few weeks the need to always be thinking about food gets less. I'm here to help so don't be shy. Kar

Wyogirl its hard but dont give up. I have started to make vegetable soup and have that with brown bread for lunch and it seems to be helping me loose the weight. Also I found that my portion sizes were too big so Im trying to cut down. |

Hi all, I spent the past four days away from home staying in a hotel. I didn’t massively over do it and only had three meals a day and no deserts but I still managed to put on almost 3lbs. It’s very hard when you are not in control of preparing your own food. I’m hoping that its mostly fluid and that it will drop off once I get back into my usual routine. So I started again this morning and my goal for this week is to drop the weight that I gain last week this week. Kar |
