I've come to the realiztion (or at least theory) that the weight I am trying to lose is not fat.  I think it may be water weight.  I still have not lost any weight and am about ready to resort to starvation.  But first, is there anything that I can do to accelorate the loss of water weight?

Ok, but how is it even physically possible for me to expend more than I take in for a whole month and not lose a single ounce? I don't get it.

OK,

I'm 5'8" 187 pounds, male, 32.  I have been eating around 2000 calories a day.  Even days, I do 1 hour of elliptical machine in the morning, 5 miles on a treadmill at night.  Odd days, I do strength training/super circuit.  Once in the afternoon and in the morning when I can muster the will.  CCP has been giving me a burn of over 3000 calories every day with activity level set to sedentary.  I am not taking any medication, but am considering starting on something to increase my metabolism.

I'm weighing it for calorie counting purposes.  Since I cook for multiple people, weighing the pasta dry doesn't seem practical since I don't know how much of it I actually going to end up eating...

Yes,  but the strange thing about this one was the severity of the dimple and the fact that it was realatively painless.  just looked like someone had put a hole in my leg.

I have been logging my calories on this site.  I have learned to my surprise that I am getting many time the rda for sodium, other than that, i seem to be getting a fairly balanced diet.  On the other hand, feeding myself is not something i've ever been extremely good at.  By the way, I am in the US Army.

Once per day, I use an elliptical machine for 60 minutes (6 days per week.)  I vary my heart rate between 140 and 175.  In the afternoon, I do a light cardio warm up for 20-30 minutes on a bike or treadmill, then strength training in the weight room.  I'm trying to work up to 90 push ups and sit ups in 2 minutes.  I eat whatever is around the house.  Lately that means turkey sandwiches, cheerios, protein powder, coffee, beef stew, egg beaters, turkey bacon etc... My job requires me to either be under a certain weight, (178 pounds) or under a certain body fat percentage using BMI as the ruler (which i think is complete BS.)  Everyone I talk to is amazed that I would be anywhere close to failing that test, but i have been borderline for some time now.  I haven't done an immersion body fat percentage test, but I dont see how I can be that close to 22 percent body fat.  At any rate, either the waist needs to get smaller, the neck needs to get bigger, or i need to loose ten pounds.  I'm totally at a loss...
