Thanks for Popping in Coach! we mostly do the 2 Mile Walk it takes 32 minutes... or on my Migraine Days i usually only do the 1 Mile Walk that takes 16 Minutes...   we take Sunday's OFF... Wink do these sound good?  and on your Opinion i WILL keep it at 1800 for another couple of weeks...  Thanks! Smile

you know...  on This Site in the TOOLS section under CALORIE TARGET it tells me that i should be eating 1595 Calories if i want to lose 63 lbs by September 10th 2009 - thats a Whole Year away...   Is This Site Correct?  or do you think i should keep up with my BMR which is 1858...?  im really confused.....  Embarassed

maybe i forgot to add this part in on my 1st post.....  SINCE THE BEGINNING OF AUGUST I HAD BEEN EATING ONLY 1500 CALORIES A DAY UNTIL THIS PAST SATURDAY...  AND AFTER READING & ASKING QUESTIONS HERE I UPPED IT TO 1800...  could that be a part of it???  AND i am DEFINITELY Peri Menopausal...

B Vitamins are good for energy Smile in fact my son takes them to help him in College... he is into Health and wont use drugs or anything to keep him alert so he takes B Vitamins...  maybe you can Google it and see whats up!  Good Luck!

im 48yrs old now... but when i was younger i think i must have tried every diet pill supplement that came out!  then i learned that there really Is No Miracle Pill and i havnt had a diet pill in yearrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrsss...  Smile  WHY put those nasty drugs into our systems anyway when we can just eat really good food and lose?  it IS all about Money...  Money for those Companies that make those drugs...

Well guess what? There’s a new fad diet being advertised, maybe you’ve heard of it. It’s called “The Sprinkle Diet” (also known as Sensa) and the premise is that by sprinkling some granules on your food before you eat that you’ll eat less and lose weight.The sprinkles were developed by Dr. Hirsch who focuses his studies on taste and smell. The sprinkles are supposed to heighten the flavor of the food, making sweets sweeter and salty food saltier, tricking your brain into thinking you’re full.

Update 6/20/08: Another name for The Sprinkle Diet is Sensa and I now have the full ingredient list of The Sprinkle Diet/Sensa:

  1. Maltodextrin
  2. Tricalcium Phosphate
  3. Silica
  4. Natural and Artificial Flavors
  5. FD&C Yellow 5
  6. Carmine
  7. Contains Soy and Milk ingredients

This is exactly what I mentioned in reason #5 above, that I wouldn’t be surprised if the ingredients contained natural flavors/MSG: Natural flavors/natural flavoring is another name for MSG and maltodextrin very likely contains MSG.

You probably already know that MSG is a “flavor enhancer” however if you’d like to learn even more about it I suggest checking out both of those sites as well as Truth in Labeling.org (very interesting stuff!). You can also refer to my posts on natural flavor and MSG.

THANKS Everyone!  Smile  i laughed soooooooooooo hard when i read that 1st post about Maybe I Need a Good Poo!  that was way too funny!  But TRUE!  i almost died laughing the 1st time my husband came out of the bathroom and said THAT WAS 10 POUNDS  Laughing  at first i didnt understand him but when he explained what he meant i almost hit the floor!  so i know what you girls mean! i guess i will learn how it goes and hopefully SOON!  i do work out regularly with Leslie Sansone...  LOVE HER!  and now i have my Hubby Walking Away The Pounds with me too!  he is only maybe 30 or 40 pounds overweight but its all in his belly...  he doesnt even drink and he has a Beer Belly!  its one of those 8 or 9mo pregnant looking ones... so he Wants To Lose WITH Me! and that makes it Much More Important! i cant get him to Eat Very Well yet because he LOVES his Fast Food & Cookies & Chocolate but when i CAN get him to sit down with a plate of Roasted Chicken & Veggies he just smiles.......................  then he runs for the cookies & the remote and messes it all up!  Ha Ha!!!  he will learn..........................  Thanks For All The Advice Everyone!!!

Thanks COACH!!!  that makes ALOT more sense to me now! i didnt know i could change my Target Goal...  the system just set it up for me at 1950 and i was thinking HOW CAN I EAT THAT MANY CALORIES AND LOSE WEIGHT?!?!?  now i put it down to 1500 because thats what i have been eating for the last coupla weeks...  hopefully i will know soon if this number is GOOD for ME...  Smile  Thanks Again For The Info!!!

well since ive only been Counting Calories for a Month now, and ive really been reading ALOT and learning how it goes... so i took it down to 1500 a week ago so HOPEFULLY i will see some movement soon...  if not i will just be patient...  i AM 48yrs young!  and on 2 medications, so i know that will make a difference in HOW i lose, but as long as i lose... I Will Be Happy! Smile be it slow... be it slower...  i guess im just going to have to be patient... Wink

Smile  thanks for the good word!  i have been waiting all day for someone who weighed about the same or more than me when they started so i can see that it WILL work for ME!  DID YOU LOSE SLOWLY?  because ive been Counting Calories for a few weeks now and i dont see any difference at all...  i lost those 5lbs BEFORE i started counting calories...  what will give me that Jump Start?  i know this is NOT a miracle cure for me or anything...  i just want to see my scale move!  even 1lb...  a 1/2lb... something... you know?
