you should think of it as a challenge... for you to resist all these people eating in front of you you're on a diet, not them. so just think of it as a test to see whether or not you're strong enough to block it out.
a trick that always worked for me is when people around me are eating as much as they want, whatever they want, i just think how disgusting it would be for me to eat what they're eating and gain weight. then i just concentrate on my food and enjoy. knowing that i will NOT be tempted by something that i hate the most right now: food that can make me fat. |

as for the weight room... all i know is that if you dont want a bulky arm then you should use the lightest weight and do a lot of repetition. so for example, you can pick up a dumbbell and do 3 reps of 10 on each arms. sorry i cant really explain what to do
