There are many benefits to having a cup of coffee everyday, look into it and see if this is what you are looking for. From what I understand, one or two cups a day has benefits, 12 to 14 cups a day does not.

From Wikipedia: "Coffee is also a powerful stimulant for peristalsis and is sometimes considered to prevent constipation. However, coffee can also cause excessively loose bowel movements. The stimulative effect of coffee consumption on the colon is found in both caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee."

I'm really proud of myself, I stuck with one portion of turkey, potato and vegetables. Nor dressing, gravy or cranberry sauce. I did have a small desert but at the end of the day I was at my target calorie intake and still lost 2 lbs for the week. |

Before you can say it is normal, you have to know what your normal is. While 98 is low, it is normal for some people. Blood pressure will not drop because of strees ie your cat at the vet.

I don' know about beautiful people but I can say that short people are treated very differently. I am 5' 5" and a male... I'm short. I have been overlooked, sorry for the pun, by many because I am shorter and worst of all I have had losy treament by women with remarks like "Why would I want to date someone short like you".

I am a volunteer firefighter and I have met many cops. The following are just points that we should all remember: 1. Cops are human beings. 2. Cops have famillies just like the rest of us. 3. Cops can make mistakes, they can over react 4. Being a cop is extremely dangerous, everyone wants to go home at the end of the night. 5. One of the priorities when arriving on the scene is to get control of the scene and sometimes that will look agreessive to somebody on the sidelines. 6. When a call comes in, adrenaline flows through the body. It takes time and experience to learn how to work safely and cautiously when you heart is pumping this adreeline through your veins... it's not easy for any EMS worker to handle this. 7. Yes there are 'bad' cops just like there are bad accountants, lawyers, doctors, neighbors, brothers, sisters... There are many more points that can be mentioned here butI won't. There is never an excuse for violence whether you are a cop or not. But until you walk in the shoes of a cop and know the COMPLETE story to the incident, try not to judge. Think of yourself in a bad situation, don't you want people to know your side before judging your actions. Again, cops are human and make mistakes. Bad mistakes, such as abuse, need to be dealt with correctly. The majority of cops out there are good, caring falmily people who are jus doing the best they can with a crazy job.

| Weight Loss | Muscle Myth Buster? What do you think? | Sep 16 2008 19:01 (UTC) |

I prefer to think of it this way; One pound of muscle will burn more calories than one pound of fat. The reasoning is simple, muscle is active when you move, fat isn't. My two cents. |

| Motivation | Why did you decide to loose weight? | Sep 16 2008 11:56 (UTC) |
23 |
I'm going to answer this by saying I didn't choose to lose weight but I decided to be in bettr health. Loosing weight implies a "diet" and as we all well know diets fail in the long run. I choose to be in better health by losing body fat with proper eating, proper nutrients and amounts. I do cardio and weight training to increase my bosies abilities to "work". I try to sleep enough hours every night and reduce the bad stress in my life. With all of this, it is easier to remain healthier in my life and to be able to maintain this for a long time to come. Just a side note, it's not as easy as it sounds, it takes hard work and dedication. Hats' off to all of you who are on the same mission. |

| Fitness | Strength training necessary to prevent muscle loss? | Sep 09 2008 03:11 (UTC) |

The body wants to burn muscle before fat, keep the fat for emergency starvation. Also, 1 pound of muscle burns more calories than one pound of fat.

| Weight Gain | cardio bad for weight gainers? | Sep 09 2008 03:07 (UTC) |

I would rather say that the cardio is good for your health. What you are doing is increasing the efficiency of your heart and lungs allowing you to have longer endurance with a side order of better health. What you would have to do is add extra calories on the days that you run to compensate for the calories that you are burning. The benifits outway the calories you burn. That's my 2 cents worht, hope it helped.

| The Lounge | Sleepsex - Has this happened to anyone else?? (this maybe TMI) | Sep 07 2008 13:49 (UTC) |

I've heard of this happening to many people, sex while sleeping that is and I have experienced it myself. I have woken up completely in the act with my wife, she was enjoying it much longer than I was... His reaction is not right, don't feel bad for what you were doing.... you're completely normal. Perhaps, and just a thought, perhaps you didn't get enough from him during your activities before bed. Good luck. |

Sound like you have had a very interesting life. I really admire everyone who gives of themselves and their time to volunteer to help others, nice work. It shows you are serious about keeping yourself healthy, keep it up. So far I am doing exactly the same thing by recording everything that I eat and my exercise. I'm sure I will have success as you did. Would it be alright if I add you to my friends list? Hope your work day was a good one.

I live in Lancaster just 15 min. from Quebec. We take care of a large farming community as well as HWY 401 which can be fun.
