| The Lounge | Think i wanna break it with my bf but not sure | Nov 19 2008 14:48 (UTC) |

Just my thoughts, take them for what they are worth: I don't think you have thrown away anything if you leave the relationship - you have learned a lot about who you are and what you are looking for in a mate. If you feel this way now, how do you think you are going to feel three more years from now? Or longer? His actions [ or inaction] is speaking volumes to you. Believe what you are seeing. He is showing you what he does when life gets a little tough. There is someone out there who is on the same wavelength as you - maybe he isn't that person. It doesn't mean he isn't a good person or a good boyfriend, but you want something different in a bf and that is okay. Better to understand it now than 5 years from now when you are married and/or have kids. It would be hard to leave him, but you both will get over it. You don't have to feel guilty when you are doing what is right for you. Whatever you decide, I wish you the best of luck. |

| Weight Loss | What do you eat on your cheat days? | Nov 14 2008 16:02 (UTC) |

I love cheat days! I learned it many years ago from a weight lifter I greatly respected. Breakfast is usual the normal high fiber cereal & soymilk or egg & toast - or I skip it [which is what I prefer, but I force breakfast most days] and have a couple of cups of coffee the way I really like it with sugar and Coffeemate. Lunch - pizza! Any kind I feel like having that day, 2 slices Dinner- usually go out for Indian food, Mexican or seafood and I don't think about calories Dessert - oh yes, definitely dessert, what is a cheat day with out dessert? Homemade apple pie & ice cream, pumpkin pie with whipped cream, or cookies Cheat days are about indulgence for me. I eat 'clean' the rest of the week and I am very satisfied with the arrangement. If I have a 'craving' it isn't bad because I just tell myself 'cheat' day is only a couple of days away. It then becomes no big deal and I move on. I have been losing steadily this way. If anything, it gives me a little of the 'zig zag' action and keeps my body guessing. I never enter the foods in my food log at CC on cheat days! Once the day is done, I don't want to look back and feel guilty for it. That would be doing it for the wrong reasons. |

| The Lounge | Movie suggestions?? (Gift) | Nov 12 2008 19:49 (UTC) |

Dogma It's oneof the few movies I can watch over and over. Interesting, intelligent writing with humor built in. I vote for Netfilx, but the one thing I don't like about subscription type gifts is that you feel obligated to renew them every year. |

Ok, all of you have me very interested in buying this , but I am really curious if anyone using it lose the 20lbs in 30 days? Or at least 10 lbs? Most of what I have read is that there was a difference in body shape which is awesome, but what about the actual stats... anyone? |

| Weight Loss | What might my size be at 5'2" and 110 pounds? | Oct 30 2008 17:45 (UTC) |

ok, once upon a time not so long, long ago I was at 110lbs, about 23% fat, and I am 5' 2.5".... I wore a size 2... yes, an actual 2 was very comfy and a size 0 was not out of the question with the right style of clothes.. I do wish to see this again, but I do remember having a hard time to find clothes, not much stocked in those sizes... I'll meet you at that size, tngardengal

Let the garbage bounce off you... better to be a cow than an jack-as$$ - which I might yell at him next time or have a t-shirt made up with that on the back. You are not a cow. You are running for your health. He is spewing garbage probably because that is the way other people treat him in his own life. You are getting support and love from us here. Keep running and one day some hottie is going to wolf whistle at you, no doubt |

| The Lounge | Yet another question about guys | Oct 16 2008 04:13 (UTC) |

GUY #1: My best advice is to continue to let him be left out in the cold - I ahte to say this, but he is not gonna get it. He sees her and his mind has some pathetic fantasy of them together. Say nothing to him about the big B. Either he won't believe you because you ripping on her sounds jealously "B"-like yourself [in his mind] or he will make excuses for her because he is interested in her. Don't play the game - you won't win in the way you want. Best way to forget a guy you think you want? Go out with another guy which leads us to ... GUY #2: Ok, he is very quiet which means he is very shy, does not have tons of people skills, and is scared that people don't really like him. All of this works in your favorand chances are he already likes you because you give him 'the time of day.' So all he needs is a little push. You really need to try touching on different topics that he might like and once you find one, I bet anything he starts opening up to you. I like the quiet ones, they tend to be good listeners, really nice and actually care about your feelings because they know what it is like to feel wanted and hurt by mean people. My 2 cents, do with it what you will. I hope you find happiness |

Unfortunately, I am well acquainted with this issue, too. Here are my tricks: 1) Guzzling water during the time of the cramp - plus lots during the day 2) Potassium: I already ate a banana per day- try dried apricots instead, they are LOADED with potassium and very light on the sodium, good for your blood pressure, too 3) Shoes, sneakers, etc: new ones or 'worn in' ones can do it, anything with the heel higher than the toes 4) Your chair/couch/bed - I was having severe issues with calf and foot cramps, then we replaced the hard couch and the too firm mattress and the cramps really let up - the point is if you sit on a hard chair at work/school all day and/or have too hard furniture, these could very well be a cause 5) Birth control - ahh, another side effect to deal with; when I switched to a lower dose, I could feel a difference in the severity of the calf cramps 6) Stretching - stretch those feet and the outside of the calves, it helps 7) Stress control - always good for what ails ya'
Hope that can help at least one person besides me.
