haven't posted in awhile mostly because i was away for the weekend and also "fell off the wagon" a bit. this time around it's not about just losing the weight, i have to do it for my health and it's just so hard to stay away from all the foods that have been my comfort for 21 years. i'm trying day by day. hopefully this week i'll get back on track! good luck to everyone just joining!

well my first week went well, a total loss of 3lbs. still a lonnnnggg way to go and i'm determined to not get discouraged since i know i won't lose that much every week. i also indulged in a small portion of scalloped potatoes and chicken strips but surprisingly they don't seem that intriguing to me now that i'm trying to eat healthier foods. good luck this week everyone! & l-b-a, don't worry about those 3 pounds, just get right back into the swing of things and they'll be gone in no time!

i only buy american eagle jeans, they seem to fit me the best with my small thighs and large stomach. i'm 194 now and wear 14's. at 150ish i was in snug 8's/10. hope that helps

thanks ladies! yes i'm hoping to lose the 1-2 lbs a week and hopefully my skin will gradually shrink back w/ regular exercise and everything and if that doesn't work and i'm unhappy with the results, after a few years of maintaining my goal weight i could always look into a tummy tuck.

i agree w/ tincognito, you definitely did the right thing by making the call to the police. aside from that go ahead and eat that candy corn, i doubt it will sabotage your maintenance much! i live in dorms at college w/ the buffet style dining halls that are torture for someone trying to lose weight and had a few bites of jello cake today as to not deprive myself. i saw something that looked good and i could treat myself with but i didn't overindulge. i think it's better to have something when you get a craving than to set aside an entire day but do whatever works for you!

kinda like nikki said, the weight was gained over a period of time and will sometimes take longer to lose. the best part about making a lifestyle change that i've found most rewarding is that not only will you be re-sculpting your body but it will overall be healthier in the long run which is really the key goal here besides a number on a scale. don't get discouraged...keep it up and i'm sure you'll see the numbers start to drop soon!!

love-bears, i just read your first post as i was trying to find a nice support group to join and what you said about being a size 10 and that being huge just really struck me. i've recently gained a ton of weight since starting college 3 years ago and all i want to do is fit back into my size 10 jeans! i was 140 for like a week in high school and not eating much food at all and i thought i looked disgusting because i'm naturally a bigger structured person. i don't think it's what the scale says, it's how you feel so if you're comfortable where you are good for you!!

hi everyone! if you are all still working towards your goals i would love to join in on this forum, i just started sept 1st and i think i've failed too many times without a great online support crew like this to keep me motivated and share stories. let me know, i see the posts haven't really been recent, and melissa if you're still on here, your last post w/ the timeline and your rewards per weight loss was an awesome idea!! i'm gonna have to put something like that together to keep me on track towards my target weight of 140.
