i dont know if anyone is still reading this post but..... im thinking about mirena but have read the horror stories online about all the women that are losing a ton of hair and believe it is from the mirena. i have a friend from work who also has been losing much more hair than normal- she got hers in september. this seems very scary to me and im just wondering if anyone here has experienced this. thanks for any input! |

i had my baby 2 years ago and it only took about 4 months to lose my 30 pounds gained during pregnancy but i wanted to lose more so I did weight watchers and lost another 16 in 4 more months. i kept it off for a few more months and then, i had a month of very severe PMS symptoms- sore breasts, cramps and VERY moody and within 3 months after that i had gained back almost 10 pounds. and now i'm back up and need to lose 20 pounds!! i think i had something hormonal going on that made it so easy for me to lose weight at first and then something kicked in and now its really hard for me to lose even 5 pounds! UGH!!!! |

good morning all- or is is just the two of us, girlfighting??? hope you have a great weekend. i didnt end up using the treadmill at my parents but i did do 30 day shred after i put my son to bed and folded laundry. i also managed to only eat about 1500 cals so im glad about that. enjoy your weekend! |

girl- you made me feel better- and inspired! i am so bloated right now due to TOM i just feel huge. but i know that will go away and im actually going to my parents tonight to use their treadmill. i see that you have tuna fish on your menu for today. i havent had that in a long time. i think i'll copy you and have it tomorrow ; ) have a good night and thanks for the positive words! and by the way i looked at the picture of you in your costume and you dont look like you need to lose weight at all!!!!! kirsten |

i know what you mean. i havent weighed myself in about 3 weeks. ive actually gained 2 pounds!!!! arrrggghhhh!! ive been really sick so i havent done any real exercise in about a month and now im just in a rut. i need to dig myself out- BIG TIME. im going to set a small goal of losing 5 pounds by x-mas and then another 5-7 by valentines day. |

hi raneyday- still here and still sick! now i have just a cold. i dont even want to get on the scale and weigh myself. i've only been counting my cals a couple of days a week. if i want to lose 15-20 pounds by march i better get moving. i come on this site a lot to get inspired/ motivation and it usually works. i hope it does this time. i want to lose SOME weight by new years so i can feel pretty in a nice out fit. it stinks that it gets dark so early now. its dark by the time iget home from work and picking up my son at daycare. i live in a very busy area so its hard to get out and run or walk. i have a reflective vest but cars still fly by me. anyway, enough of my rambling. i hope everyone is doing great and keeping their will power going through the holiday season. makinitcount44- i wish you hadnt figured out the workout plan because i am stupmed, too! ; ) i was waiting to see what the responses were! i am confused about what workout 1,2 means. i understand about alternating A and B. i know you pros prob think im dumb but i might be maiking it harder than it really is. my husband and i were looking at it and we're so confused. any help would be appreciated!! |

i had to cut my earlier post short b/c i'm at work and i actually had to do some work ; ) anyway, if anyone has tried NROLFW that is in our group please let me know. i think v said that she was doing it. i just wanted to know about what you're eating. i think it said in the beginning to eat your maintenance calories- not to cut them. i'm just feeling a little overwhelmed by the book and wondering if i need to follow the diet very strictly or what. thanks in advance! girl-i know what you mean about getting distracted when you get home. i might just have to try getting up at 430 or 445. i can take my dog for a walk/run but its so dark now in the a.m. i'd be a little afraid. oh well, i wont know until i try it! |

girlfighting- it sounds like you're doing really well! when do you do your exercise??? i am up at 5:15 everyday to get myself and my 2 year old ready to go for the day so i dont think i could do it in the morning. my husband works a lot of nights (until 9 or so) so i cant really exercise until then! and by then im usually pooped or catching up on laundry. i guess i just feel like complaining. sorry! i bought NROLFW and would really like to give it a try. i guess i'll just have to force myself to do it at night ARRGGHH!!!! |

you're not the only one here! i have been really sick since last wednesday. and my 2 year old has been sick since thursday so i havent been able to get on here at all. the only good thing about being sick is i didnt have much of an appetite but im sure once i eat 'normal' again any weight that i lost will come right back : ( v- thanks for the 'virtual me' link. i'm going to do it later today. i've got to get back on track with counting my stupid calories. i want to be able to wear something nice for xmas eve. and by nice i mean wearing a size that is not in the double digits LOL!!! |

thanks for your reply! my husband has the typical male fear of someone doing something surgical to him 'down there'. one of his friends had it done and said the same thing as you- that there's really nothing to it. i hope i can convince him. maybe i should let him read some of the articles i've been reading about side effects of the tubal surgery. my mom had it done-years ago- i should see what she says too. thanks again. you're sweet. |

v_avila- i have never really lifted before. ive done toning xlasses that use hand weights, bands etc. but do you think a regular joe shmoe like me could get in to that NROLFW?? it sounds interesting but sometimes it seems overwhelming when i read what people have written about it. any thoughts???? kirsten |

it seems like we're all in the same boat! we cant get past a certain mark on the scale. i still haven't weighed myself since 2 weeks ago and i can tell by the bloating of my stomach that i didnt lose any weight. it seems like i get extremely bloated at weird times of the month. its not just at PMS time. so i guess its obviously what im eating. i didnt think i was eating all that much salty stuff but i haven't been being as careful either. its so frustrating. i get so bloated that i look like i did when i was 5 months preggers! has anyone ever heard of this??? ive been drinking my usual amount of water- i have a large SIGG bottle and i drink 2-3 of those a day. so thats between 64 and 96 ounces! now we have candy season to deal with. what is a girl to do???? have a good day everybody! thanks for letting me vent! |

i've been kind of doing the same thing since friday afternoon! i haven't been staying with anyone's kids but my diet has been out the window since then too! and i havent exercised since thursday either. normally when this would happen i would just give up and keep eating poorly but i'm back on track today so we'll see what happens. i've also been sick so i didn't really have the energy to exercise. this stinks! we can pull ourselves together though. think BIKINI or BEACH. try to have a good rest of the day! |

this doesn't necessarily have anything to do with motivation but i was wondering about my burn meter. i have it set for light but im thinking i should change it to sedentary. i sit at a desk for work but walk a mile to and from the parking lot we have everyday. and go for atleast 1- 20 minute brisk walk during work and do some walking around the office. also, i have a 2 year old and i try to go outside with him everyday after work and do something. i dont count these walks on my activity log. i only count my aerobics and running when i do them. i do the usual vacuuming, laundry and picking up. sooooo, what are some of your opinions? i think when i set it at sedentary it was only 1200 calories and i tried it for a couple of days and i was really hungry. i lost 1.6 pounds in 2 weeks but at TTOM i gained it back. then didnt weigh myself last week but will weigh myself tomorrow morn. my pants feel a tiny bit looser in the waist and i dont feel as bloated but the scale isnt really budging. any opinions would be appreciated. sorry it was so long winded : ) kirsten |

hi carie- the PMS'ing is terrible. that was me 2 weeks ago i had gained back my 1.6 that i lost. i didnt weigh myself last week so we'll see what happens this friday. the only advice i can give is if you feel like you have a cravign for salt, chocolate or whatever its okay to give in just don't overdo it. i know it sucks but you can get through it! i always tell myself that if i can just get through those few days (although sometimes its a whole week) i'll be so glad that i didn't over-indulge. good luck!!!! |

happy monday peeps! i gave in to a donut this weekend also! i also gained back the 1.6 pounds that i had lost. UGGHH!!!! maybe b/c it was TTOM and i ate a few more crappy/salty things than normal. back to good eating today. i just bought and tried jillian michaels 30 day shred. great workout but feels not long enough. anyone else have that dvd?? good luck to everyone for the week!!

thanks for the pep talk. it actually did make me feel better! i shoot for 1500 cals a day and im usually extrememly close or a little over. whatever i go over i try to burn off walking, jogging or doing a workout video. of course i do have my days where i cant fit the exercise in and answer the call of my sweet tooth but i cant let that get me down. thansk so much for the responses!!!! |
