hi guys

thank you for all the tips!

i've posted my daily menu here, and i did a bit of analysis, i bolded and crossed out the things that i think i should not have eaten. i will limit myself to one dessert only , and thats only if i cant control the craving. usually i can. but when i can't, it's gonna be one dessert only.

please give me more feedbacks based on this!!!

thanks!!!

hi guys, i hope you don't mind if i join

i'm also a freshman and im into my second semester now. my biggest fears are late night social outings (with food), free stuff (@@) and alcohol

my birthday is in the summer, it's may 12

i hope that this year, i can give myself a nice and slender body as a present

my data is here:

height--5'4

current weight--142 lbs

goal weight--124 lbs by MAY 12, 2009!

age--18

i plan to use calorie count and limit sugar (any simple carb/alcohol/sweet thing) and fat intake to get to my goal. i weigh myself everyday in order to stay on track.

i hope we all have a good year this time!

Weight Loss Binge eating disorder and how i WILL stop it Dec 02 2008

thanks jo!

since i usually can't guarantee exercise (stupid things always get in the way), i just want to keep my intake on the safe side

i'm familiar with keeping a food log, but i guess you are right--since this isnt entirely merely a food problem, writing down my feelings will defnitely be useful.

thanks!

Five rules i'm establishing for eating from now on are:

1) Eat slowly, mindfully, while sitting down.

2) Eat with friends.

3) Stop eating when full; eat to live, not live to eat.

4) Chew my foods for 10 times or more. Focus on the people I'm with instead of the food.

5) Pray before eating.

thanks rampantbunnylove.

im a freshman at college so i can only use the dining all 3 times, and my schedule means that i can only eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner, like that.

i'm really glad that my friends told me about my eating like an animal out of kindness. i knew i binge, but i didnt know that it was this severe.

my school has a mental health center, do you think they will help me with it?

my goal is to live a long-term, sustainable, balanced state of life, without being overwhelmed by things like that.

my daily calorie intake will be 1200 cal-1400 cal, and my daily exercise usage will be around 600 calories.

i pray that i will have the power to break away from this disorder that has contrained me from enjoying my friendship and life for my whole life now.

i've been trying to cut out sugar from my diet lately. i came from a family full of diabetics, and if i dont cut out sugar, i'm pretty certain i'm in high risk of getting that disease too...

i weighed myself today at 11 am (just got up, haha) and i weighed 139.6 lbs. i just really have to watch what i eat, and not let the stress of final exams get to me. i find that when im stressed, i tend to go for the unhealthy food. anyone else feel the same way here?

i think the weekend challenge is an awesome idea!

my college is having a big game with our rivalry college this weekend--everyone is travelling to the other college and well, celebration and food are sure to come! =)

my plan for the weekedn is--no booze, eat healthy, and exercise

wow, it sounds like a no brainer, but it's actually extremely hard to implement (for me LOL)

my weight went down again today, it was 139.8 lb yesterday and this morning it is 138.8. I will keep working out and not eating too much in the future and hopefully i can keep losing!

what's everyone's favorite workout routine? Mine is the elipticals...because my thighs are huge (proportional wise) and i really want to tone them down =)

hi bella:

my goal is to hit under 130 lbs by december 31, 2008.

my weight today was 139.8, finally in the 13X range!

but im so scared that i will bounce back

to be honest, college life is adding a lot of stress to my life =(((

1) i want to eat healthfully, but everything social revolves around cookies, cakes, and pizza, this is stupid--i dont have the ability to resist temptations now, im not mature enough. id  rather eat healthy than going there

2)some of the ppl i live with are really rich and inconsiderate (not that all rich ppl are inconsiderate but)--one of them said "im so happy i went to private school and now that im in ______college (insert ivy league) i dont ever have to deal with the lesser ppl", and she is the person who threw her own used sanitary pad outside in the common room (cuz the garbage can in the washroom is full and its her duty to empty it, she just wont do it). the other rich kid hooked up with random guys in our common room sofa bed, every weekend we wake up to a differen guy, damn it @@....and these 2 rich and "higher class"kids are the ones who never do their share of suite duty......... sigh........

sorry for the rant @@

hi guys,

so today's wednesday, i weighed myself--140.2lb today, 1.2 lbs down from last week!

wow i'm so happy! =)

thanks for all the advice, and good job michelle=)

my goal will be to reach 130 lbs by new year, this will be my new year's gift to myself. =)

i have a question--my college and teachers and classes are having a lot of holiday celebrations now, usually we all get invited and the food is just cookie chocolate and everything unhealthy. i dont want to turn down invitation, but what should i do?

also, my friends tend to eat dinner very late and unhealthfully. i have been not going to dinner with them ever since school started. im quite involved in extracurricular activities in school and i do hangout with my friends in other manners (project groups, tv, games, etc)

do you think its important that i eat with them? (im sure if i do, i will eat more unhealthfully than i already do now) =((((

things i did well--i eat a lot more heathfully now than i did 4 years aog--before i would eat all junk, now everythign i eat is healthy and i dont want anything unhealthy at all (pizza, wings, fried stuff)

things i need to work on---PORTION CONTROL! god i just dont know when to stop!

also i think i hit a plateau now--141.4 lb again today, sigh!

how do i break something like that? help!
