Thank you. I'm going to try with all I've got to give up refined sugar. I'm going to start the minute I wake up tommorow. I'm going to swear it all off for a minimum of three months, I wont say forever, because thats more than I can handle. But Three months should be enough time to get over the stuff I think. I'm going to try really hard. IF other people can do it, then I can too. |

Quit sugar? Won't I binge even harder if I try not to eat it?

Well thats what i mean though, like if i have say, slim fast and some fruit for breakfast, a small healthy snack (fruit and cheese, some almonds, low fat yogurt, whole grain cereal and milk, oatmeal, trail mix, etc.) a slim fast for lunch with a small 1-2 cup green salad with fat free dressing or a thin vegetable soup, another small snack like before, then an even portioned dinner, with 2-3 vegetable servings, some lean protein and a little starch (sometimes), and then one more little snack before bed.. Would this be healthy? I'm counting the calories of course, to keep them in check. And im a very active person. I lose about 3 lbs a month on 1700 daily calories. I'm more concerned if this sounds healthy.. It doesnt have to be slim fast either, there are other meal bars and shakes I like (and sometimes home made ones) like myoplex, curves shakes, presidents choice soy meal replacment shakes and powerbars. I just like sweets so much, and I dont want to eat oreos, reese cups and pop tarts all the time anymore. Wouldn't it be better this way?

Its kind of sucky, because I worry about the effect of consuming so much sugar.. but I find if I don't have something sweet when i want to, I get horrible cravings and end up with half a bag of oreos stuffed in my mouth. So i decided its just better to eat a pop tart or a granola bar or a cookie when I feel the urge hit. So do you think If I replaced a meal or two with slim fast accompanied by fruit and or a salad I can lose a few pounds? |

But.. I take a good quilty multi, an omega and a calcium sup already.. I can't possibly need more! And I do eat whole grains, fruits and vegetables all day long!I always get the recommended amount! Plus I don't eat fried food, or white starches and grains except the occasional baked potato, and i very rarely eat anything highly processed, i mean, except for the candy, chocolate or granola bars, cereals ( whole grain, but sweetened) and pastries. (not always whole grain, but about half the time) Heck, I make my own soup, steam vegetables, make my own veggie burgers and tofu nuggets, eat natural PB and low fat dairy.. I don't know what deficiency I could possibly have.

Will I lose weight if I eat the same food over and over?
You can lose weight despite eating the same food day-after-day as long as you eat fewer calories than you burn. In fact, eating the... Read more
