I've never really done a challenge, but it should be fun. I have a 5 video set from Jillian, though none are the 30lb shred. I need to get the video of course, but I can/will do that when I get paid on Friday. Great idea!! Kick the weight loss right before holiday season kicks in. |

Well, I'm just wondering- do you 'count' the weight from PMS week. I've been on CC for almost 3 weeks, and heading towards my water retention week. I started at 194, 10 days later I'm 190- not too shabby. 4 days later (i.e. today) 196. Pissed- very! However... I started doing the math, and sure enough, this will be a water retention and full of other emotions week. So, do I "count" the 196, or chaulk it up to the water and go about my life? |

| Weight Loss | Does Anyone Here Ever Get Hungry????? | Sep 20 2008 07:51 (UTC) |

It's different for everyone. I use to eat all the time, and I never really felt 'full' or if I did the food was just tooo good to stop. I am eating 5-6small meals a day. The first few days were difficult for me, but I started pounding water. Now... like for lunch I may make a nice healthy sandwich, but right before I eat it, I chug like 12-16oz of water. Today I even timed myself for breakfast- I eat REALLY fast, so I slowed down. Like- a LOT. It was so hard for me, but, the same breakfast I eat that usually has my stomach growling 2 1/2 hours later- I found myself 4hours later thinking 'wow... what should I do?' I did spend almost 45min eating though, taking at least a minute in between each bite. If I fell full, I stopped. In about 5-6min I would need to eat again, but it's amazing how quickly the body adapts. |

I am trying to eat a bit more, but watching how many carbs I consume. I am trying to increase my protein, but having a hard time doing that without increasing fat or carbs. I am trying to do the best I can to make this a lifestyle- so being occasionally hungry I expect to decrease. I am uping the fiber, maybe that's the problem? I don't know. My husband is a marine, and I'm a nurse- I have a LOT of knowledge, where as he's practical and has done a lot to maintain his weight and stay in tip-top shape. He's incredibly encouraging. I mean, I've never lived with anyone who has encouraged me so much. I think that helps soo much! But thanks also for your help. |

I can honestly say I've never had a weight loss buddy- my friends/family may know that I'm losing weight and occasionally ask me about it, but don't think about it much. How often should we check in? I weigh in Sat and Wed- I would like to weigh in daily, but I get discouraged, and I can't wait a full week! I'm 5'2, 194. Goal is 150, at least. I mean, per height, I should be 120, but I will decide what to do when I get to that weight. And healthnut- huge congrats on those first 91lbs!! |
